Thanks for the video, totally enjoyable watch. The conditions were a bit ordinary, but would be great in the warmer weather. I thought you were going into the bush near the end. A great save! You do such a great vid! 👍😁
well done boys, fantastic riding skills in those slippery conditions. dan, another classic film, 48mins of pure entertainment for us adventure riders. gotta say, I think it's funny to watch you riding, knowing there are all the ingredients for your next bush feast rattling around in your luggage - I can't believe the stuff you pull out at dinner time - the dehydrated peas are a winner 😀 thanks so much for naming the tracks you take along the way - I've jotted them down and I reckon I'll recreate that trip - I live in Warrandyte, so just outside my back door and I'll do that route this summer (hopefully it won't be so slippery). thanks again. 👍
Thanks Oliver, great to see you can get some key take outs from this trip. If the rain holds off this will be a really good trip in summer. Enjoy mate.
Fantastic video, Geez that DRZ get along those tracks good, Wouldnt like to see you trying to drag that Beemer you had before under that tree, Real feel good video , Cheers
Another awesome adventure Dan. Thanks for taking us along. Good save near the end. I thought you were going to eat shit. You did too. ITs funny how we know how slippery it is but, it still nearly gets us. That's when you know its like ice. 😁
Great vid again. Love Rubicon area - much grippier than Toolangi. We went up and down Hope Track a couple of weekends ago to Mt Terrible, a lot drier now than when you went through, though still lots of water in the river.
Agreed, it is awesome country in the Rubicon that can be accessed all year. How is the climb up Terrible TK? In decent condition? Bummed we ran out of steam that day and did not get to the summit.
Fantastic Vid Dan highlighting some awesome remote locations. Would be great if you could show us what tools you take with you on these trips for those "just in case you have a bike breakdown"... Looking forward to your next production...great stuff cheers Damo.
Cheers Damo, it is definitely high on the agenda to get some more in-depth vids out about my bike, tools and equipment I use on the track. Thanks for the suggestion about the tools, it’s great to get feedback about what people are interested in. If there is any other suggestions please send them through 🤙
I had an problem on my 890 from new where the quick shifter wouldn't shift up sometimes. Shifting down no problems. I believe the bike cuts spark to quick shift up but rev matches for downshifts. I had it looked at by the dealer and they said they had to recalibrate it. Its fixed but still a bit agricultural at times and will get it looked at again next service.
Hi Dan, I only had false neutrals on my quickshifter and getting a Factory Pro shift kit installed while my 701 LR (2020) is getting its first 10K service done at the dealership. It solves the false neutrals but haven’t heard of what you’re facing.
Hi Richard, hope you're well mate. The false neutrals are a bit annoying. Would you recommend the shift kit? might get that installed. Looks like a calibration issues, will need to get it reset at the dealer.
Nice vid cobber, great 360 reframing too, some beautiful country up there. What audio are you using? It's fine when you're at the camp site or doing a cooking/talking piece but when you're on the bike it's clipping. I'm just about to do a review on a Zoom F2BT 32 bit, impossible to clip audio with it, so they say. It's a big ask of any camera/audio gear on a bike trip, very demanding conditions.
Thanks mate. Yeah I know about the audio, it’s such a pain in the ass. Currently running a lav mic in the helmet from the GoPro. Changing lav mics to a purple panda mic which should hopefully fix the issue. The one I’m currently using is to sensitive, which makes the audio garbage. Bit more testing and should have it fixed on the next trip👍
Brilliant video as always, I've been looking forward to checking out some of those places but I think I might have to work my way up to that clay. What do you use for maps when you're out there?
Thanks Liam, wait for the warm weather mate, its awesome riding up there in the summer. I run hema maps when on the trail. I also carry paper maps of the areas I travel as a back up.
Thanks Brent. I dropped the 701 off yesterday. The dealer said it happens sometimes and it is a simple fix. Needs to be recalibrated. I will report back if any issues.
Thanks for the entertainment
Thanks for the donation to the channel mate, very much appreciated.
Good to see you back DK. You’re a bit more adventurous than most of us Victorians in winter, seeking out the snow riding. Keep up the good work
Hey Mickey, thanks mate, will do. I'm just hungry for the outdoors. Rain, snow or sun!
Awesome! Well done lads in slick conditions! Great watch.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the trip👍
I love the cooking parts, it’s interesting to see what you can cook up on a trip instead of a dry packet meal
I totally agree! also a lot cheaper than the dehdrated meals.

Many thanks Bob! it was a great save, I thought I was going into the trees for sure!

Great vid and thanks for sharing the route you took. Your editing/ video story telling is first class.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great commentary felt every slip, bump and tough piece of track. Really able to hear the exhaustion as you both ride through the great alpine areas
Glad you enjoyed it!
That bloody clay! Awesome trip guys.
Cheers Bruce, hope you're well mate.

Cheers Jethro. It was a close call mate. Would of not been fun pulling the bike out of that ditch.
Great vid as usual and more interesting cooking tips, keep it up
Thanks, will do!
Thanks Guys. looking forward to doing those tracks, but I might wait until it warms up a bit.

@@DKADV Terrible Track is fine as long as you stick to the main track... I didn't at one point and paid the price (faceplant into the gopro).
Awesome trip
Thanks for watching Josh, get out there and enjoy it mate!!!

Great vid. Well put together imo. Loved the combo of cameras together- the insta compliments the Gopro i reckon.
Thanks a ton mate!
Great video i felt every bump as if i was there myself, keep up the great work :)
Glad you enjoyed

Cheers Mark, sounds like I need to have it recalibrated at the dealer. Thanks for your comment.
@@DKADV Great vids btw. Nice to see some more trails from around my neck of the woods.
@@mark8074 Thanks, Mark. I'll keep an eye out for the 890!
Epic vid thanks 😊😊

I’m good mate, thx. The Kit will be installed next week. I got it from www.mickhone.com.au/.
Wow that is some ride!
Thanks mate, sure was.
