Fun restoration. I have a couple dozen with wood screws that were my grandfathers. I still use them on occasion.

Thanks and yes it was fun, kinda hard to screw this up! That's really cool you have some of your grandfathers.....and you use them! Appreciate you watching.

Beautiful job David - well done. I have one of those that was rescued from a dumpster and I intend to get to it sometime. You have shown some good tips. Yours looks really nice!

Thank you, not sure everyone needs a stained and finished clamp like this, but I have one now!

@@westhighlandsshop ...they add up. All these cleaned up tools begin to really make the shop feel proper.
I used to want all tools to be put away, but clamps like the one you cleaned up look great even when not in use.

Looks like a nice wall hanger. Waxing rather than oiling the screws was a good idea.

Great looking wall hanger that you can take down and use if need be. This was an informative video showing how to incorporate shellac with stain and Tung oil. Never thought about thinning Tung Oil, makes sense. Looks like some nice wax. At the Hardware store where I work I picked up a stick of AGS Door Ease. Basically a stick of wax. Probably the same thing as Paste Wax just thicker. Great video. 👍🏻

Hey David sorry I'm late to the party but I'm just gonna say You messed up already saying quick and easy! LOL! Who doesn't over restore their wood clamps? Fantastic way to walk through the wood refinish process! I like a little golden pecan sometimes when I want just a hint of color. Take care Buddy catch up with ya later.

Thanks George, fashionably late! Nothing is really ever quick and easy around here. Lifetime of complicating the hell out of stuff! Oh well, having a blast, talk soon.
