I did not realize you had to have duals "clocked" for cooling when transporting on roads........learned something today. I learn a lot by watching this channel, you guys do everything tractors and trucks and machinery in general.

The 9410 is at 126.48 lbs per 1 tractor HP, the 9360 is at 119.44 lbs/HP, the 9560 is coming in at 97.67 lbs/HP, 8360R is 94.44 lbs/HP at 360, 8220 is 124 lbs/HP at 225 HP, 8320 is 100lbs/HP at 250. The 9620 is at 99lbs/HP and if you got in the 70,000 lbs range for the 9620R, you would be at 112lbs/HP to where you said you needed to be. Great video as usual!
You 110lb per hp is interesting. We have small tractor for landscaping company. It's 48.5 hp and it's 5,300lbs. Exactly your formula. Your a wealth of knowledge

Back in the late seventy's I worked for Steiger tractor manufacturer . On the biggest tractor at that time was the Steiger Panther lll at four hundred and fifty horse power . With all eight tires filled three quarters full and two hundred and seventy gallons of fuel on most types of soil . Than pulling the most appropriate pieces of equipment for that amount of horse power . There would still be choose to a thirty second of an inch slippage . Witch is a lot of tire wear . At that time the widest tires were thirty six inches wide . I understand the reason for so much weight .
I've seen "pan pullers" ballasted out the wazoo, front racks, wheel weights, and juiced tires. The new Deere looks almost as awesome as the new Freightshaker! Great video explaining things.👍👍
Good looking machine you have there now Andy, I would be I was always taught that you need weight to pull weight. Horsepower is one of those things that it's better to be looking at than looking for. So that is 20 000 kg for us in the old world. What you need is the Ferguson system, that transfers weight onto the drive wheels. These John Deeres are going back to the pre war era with heavy tractors pulling things around by the draw bar.

cast weights are definitely the better choice vs liquid, especially with radial tires. What I have read is that liquid prevents the tire from flexing and essentially makes it like a bias tire resulting in more compaction.
The LSW tires have several advantages over tracks. 1st - you save fuel. It takes more engine HP to turn tracks than it does tires. 2nd - It costs less to initially buy tires over tracks and its components. It costs less to replace tires over tracks and its components. 3rd - LSW tires offer a smoother ride than tracks on the road and in the field. Faster times means money saved. Making money is the name of the game. 4th - In my opinion, I think LSW tires can go through more muddy conditions than tracks. 5th - Have you seen some the RUclips videos of farmers with tracks, and what it takes to clean out the mud and junk from the tracks and its components? A lot of cleanup time with tracks. And then,.....if you do a lot of road travel with tracks, you have to sprinkle some kind of talc to keep the tracks running cooler.
Andy I enjoy watching your videos something that I learned from my dad when putting duals on get a bolt that size cut the head off to make 2 studs to help line the dual up it helps a lot. He was a farmer all his life and he is in his 70s now.
Beat juice is good for a liquid blast and it weighs more then water but then back to what you said it does cost more if there getting changed or the danger of taking them off
I think if you angle sniped every other lug on the edge where the duals are clocked together to where they alternate right and left it would increase cooling capacity quite a bit!!!!😄😄😄

Generally, the guys on RUclips with the big fancy shop are not really making any complicated repairs. They're like cleaning stuff and then sending it out when stuff gets serious.
I just watched a video by ZK Master Teach replacing a water pump on a tractor that had that same engine in it. Didn't look good. Might be worth looking at.
Allllllll of that work, time ,debt load to feed us. In my mind that dealer in Ga owes him $20000 for all that time, work, shopping etc. High respect for our farmers feeding us. Unreal. I wouldn't have the guts to wake up in the morning there.. There must be 3 accountants distributing payments full time.

I know that you have probably seen those tire handlers that grab the tire in three places. I wonder if it would be a safer option for you when you are doing such an operation as you were today. Just a thought. Thanks.
You're gonna have a hard time finding an implement wide enough to slow down that 9620. Probably be able to hook two pieces of tillage equipment behind it (one for tilling & one for finishing) and it will still keep chugging along...no prob's
We keep everything weighted for the hills we work on. The big tractor is 14 ft with duals and the little ones are 10ft wide. If we don't have them loaded the spin out slide or flip over. I'm guessing he's an expert on lawn tractors 😂😂
Last farm I worked at they didn't know what the hole in the rim was for. Always had to man handle the duals. Loaded or not. I'm glad I don't work there anymore lol. Always had to make a job out of everything. If you could think of the hardest way to do anything that was the correct way lol

We added cooling fans to our tractor tires for cooling on the road. :)

Tracks are awesome on hills ( they’re preferred in the Palouse area) but they don’t have a place with any livestock operations on a farm.

Simply put, Deere would not offer the weight packages if the tractors weren’t engineered for them and vice versa.

We had calcium and it was brutal on rims but then it was the best there was
