Sarah, Good to see you moving up to the tracktor trailer.👌 You will be glad you did, even if you still prefer the straight strucks. Being able to drive them all is a huge asset for you and you are definitely more than capable.🤙
Hi Andy ! Good job and it is looking very good that fancy rig. i went back to freightliner with that door shaking brand new truck , they titing up the noub where the catch go and it was good for couple weeks . very noisy those doors . Good job everybody ! Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day at the farm ! 🙋♂️
Sarah's going to master this quickly , enjoyed the video especially when I saw the sign to CHERRY VALLEY where I grew up and visited my dad /step mom for many years . Thanks for the memories
You’re a very good father I having My Gary farm she helped me too my daughter likes to work on the farm he’s one heck of a worker now we’re off the farm she works a job and I sure missed that that makes your farm look very good they have your kids working on your side nowadays they don’t wanna do that they don’t even workway to go girls😊
Andy I drove one of them trucks for several years. Make sure the girls be careful with them big mirrors. They can create a rather large blind spot when your at an intersection..
She seems absolutely miserable, most all the kids appear unhappy. Could just be the camera, their nature or working 70 hours a week. Just an observation
@@PAYNEKILLER.. They can get a bit shy around the camera. and not talk too much. But other times they get ahold of the camera and have fun at Andys expense. I think they all enjoy working on the farm and are happy doing it.
@@PAYNEKILLER.. lmao the girls do it because every time they do act somewhat presentable on the Channel they get a bunch of creepy old men talking about how beautiful they are.
I’m really surprised how heavy that tanker is. I think you once said the Diller’s are 10,000 pounds heavier, maybe I’m remembering wrong. Thanks for the videos.
I am professional radio installer -- they make a mirror bracket where you can mount the antenna on the top tube of the mirror without trouble and with the spring on the antenna i would not worry about hitting anything being that the stacks are right behind it --- nooooo dont make it look like the CB'ers type antenna -- the reflected power of the antenna is very important for good radio operation -- I am in Wyoming however soooo cant visit your shop to help ya out -- sigh
@@Oliver880-eg8sz -- does not matter what kind of radio he gets !!!!!!!!!!! -- what matters is where and how you mount the antenna that counts plus where the microphone is at for easy reach --- DUH
He was concerned with the Hight hitting Low Branches on dem dar country Roads. HAHAHAH The ideal spot for that Antenna would have been on the Back of the Cab, between the corner and the Window. It would get it in the Clear and still be Low enough. There is a NMO bracket for just that type on Mounting. Andy has the Stuff to seal up the Coax hole for a nice neat install.
@@m9ovich785 -- TRUE however the stacks are right there also -- dont think that branches would have bother it cause there is a spring at the base of the antenna for that specific purpose as i stated and yes but i failed to mention the NMO mount for the mirror or directly to the body ( which i dont like ) but WHERE you mount the antenna has a DIRECT EFFECT on how the antenna performs when transmitting on the radio -- how about talking to a local radio shop to find out the real information !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just wondering why you wouldn't have just run the antenna wire straight up through the roof from the radio..You could use some of your fancy 3M two part poly caulk to seal...??
You said cars would go around you when you're turning. In Chicago I had them cutting in between me and the curb to the right when I was turning. Oh I made some colorful words and names for those idiots.
I must say those two young ladies aren’t afraid to jump axle deep on a Ferris wheel into all things farming. Also Andy the reason for the rattles are so you know it’s running. 😂😂
antennae is in a bad spot, too much metal . You will probably receive OK,but transmitting will create too much 'reflective' power back into the radio and will weaken or kill the transmit circuit . The middle of the antennae to the sweet spot when transmitting keep that area in the open line of sight --no metal near it or in the way of the transmit waves.
I was thinking something happened to you Andy. I haven't seen a new video in a while. You tube suggested this video today and I was like WTF? Well low and behold screw tube unsubscribed me to your channel.
Where are all the dumb comments tonight about how automatic suck. How many people making those stupid comments actually have driven one or They heard from a buddy of a buddy that they suck.
I hear a lot of trucking company's like the automatic because some drivers are tough on the drive shaft and axles with a stick. Automatic removes that variable.
As a 65 yr old farmer trucker I have to say I enjoy the Eaton ultrashift. Definitely nice to operate but a lot more to go wrong. Wiring clutch actuator etc but enjoyable
Wonderful videos Farming Fixing & Fabricating thank you

Ohh boy the joys of getting a new truck lol 😂😂. Always have to do so modifying no matter what. Looks great tho 👌 👍

Proud watcher here. This was cool
High center of gravity trailer, and all of the crown in county and town roads it will pucker you up at times.
Awesome video thanks Andy nice job 🚜🚛🚜🚛🚜
Just did a window motor in a Coronado today. You need a lot of different screwdrivers and a lot of skinned knuckles.
Great job on the 2 way radio!
you put a lot of trust in your kids and they surely do handle it well....
Enjoyed your video have a great day

Andy you crack me up that tractor 5000 hrs only 2 transmissions 😂

The three most famous words when checking out oil leaks are “Turn it off ! Turn it off!”
Sarah know what she's doing.
You could put a 2 way radio base station in the shop so you can hear what's going on and communicate.
You can change the shift ie. heavy haul or highway mode
That is a good looking rig and Sarah will look so good in it
I’m really surprised how heavy that tanker is. I think you once said the Diller’s are 10,000 pounds heavier, maybe I’m remembering wrong. Thanks for the videos.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ANDY 😊
Andy if your using uhf there is a smaller antenna that you can mount up on top of the mirror
It is called a 1/4 wave antenna
Have a good day

Thanks Andy! Make sure you don't lose Sara to OTR trucking! 😂

Its a nice truck and that little rattle should be an easy fix.
Some automatics you have to apply brakes to get engine brake to activate it, then it starts downshifting
The ladies are taking pride in shining up the equipment inside and out. Shiney and clean makes the whole operation look clean and new.
Could always shove an ear plug down in by those locks to keep them from rattling.
I love the automatic no more often and you See going see the savings on automatic transmissions because no more riding a clutch going down the road
Lol andy! You know what that noise is? It's all that excess power that is not using trying to escape!
Best looking Ride for the best looking girl on farm and mean that in a good way Andy you should be proud
👍🚜
Andy you know someone told me one time that if you play country music in the milking barn while milking cow's the cow's will Produce more milk!!
If it was a bet, my money would be on the 900. Even if the new truck was empty I just have a feeling it's going to 🤷
900 will win

Normal flier rattles. I’ve had several and they rattle right from new
@@richardradawetz8788they don't call them Freightshaker for nothing. Lol rattle the truck and the load on mile one.

What does it a weigh fully loaded?

Swapping the antenna out for a smaller mount would have been the easy way?
Do you need a license for 2 way radios we do in ontario
Midland radios I beleave under 5watts doesn't need one due to using frs channels. I could be wrong on the wattage though.
Don't forget your logo on the doors.
Hello Andy ... Will the antenna get knocked around more being low mounted when you are cleaning the windshield? 🤔
Hello!
Do your drivers need a CDL for farm use ?
No
Thats gotta by weird driving and how it shifts. It actually shifts slow and sounds like a truck with a shifter
What kind of 2 way radio is in frieghtliner tractor 😊
Midland
@@FarmingFixingFabricating awesome my friend, I had several of the older midland radio and a great radio at that 😊

Nice and slow...way to teach your new TT drivers how to drive.
3000.00 worth of labor
I can wax my tractor all day and never turns green.

You take some camera lessons from Grant Wilson?
Who is that?
Where are all the dumb comments tonight about how automatic suck. How many people making those stupid comments actually have driven one or They heard from a buddy of a buddy that they suck.
I have a love-hate relationship with the automatic, hate it trying to get going, love it in stop and go traffic. I'm an over the road truck driver
I know right
I hear a lot of trucking company's like the automatic because some drivers are tough on the drive shaft and axles with a stick. Automatic removes that variable.
@@joepfeiler5911 They can program the shifting for maximum fuel economy. I wouldn't want to go back to shifting honestly.

Andy can't you get a longer antenna to reach just to the top or just above the cab just an idea and would not get hit but good reception
👍
