I've always wanted a sort of 'open world' survival game like this, maybe from the POV of the military trying to contain a zombie outbreak. Not more Day-Z-esque PvP, but totally PvE with a focus on survival mechanics, tactics and teamwork. Vehicles, of course, the ability to barricade inside of buildings if things go south during a mission, maybe call for exfil if things get bad enough. One day, maybe.

shoot man, even for 20 bucks full price id buy it, i like this project so much ill wait for it to go off sale, cool game and really creative idea that i think has been perfected in the best of ways.
Having already read the story behind SCP: 5K. It's a bit horrifying, but this is a great way to make a game about it. Especially since the end is both....good and bad.
I love games like this with different mechanics on each level and people are playing it accordingly while not fucking around too much. I don't know but it frustrates when people don't play the game accordingly and fuck around causing them to die over and over without any kind of progress.
For those who don’t know SCP 5k is based on the SCP of the same name where in a alternate reality the foundation went from protecting humanity to exterminating it. The foundation had discovered that everything that makes us human ie pain, love, hatred, and friendship where in fact an anomaly, and this anomaly had something in store for humanity that was a far worse fate than death. The foundation then decided that the best thing for humanity was for it to be exterminated as it was a mercy killing.
Also for those who don't know scp 5k, it is its own file. It's a suit that came back in time with records of an alternate reality. In that the foundation was corrupt and started killing everyone. My guess is that G.O.C is who you play as.
Most likely UIU. There was a concept in the earlier version of a new GOI called “Anti foundation alliance” that had the intention of taking down the foundation. Basically chaos insurgency but good.
To make it clear about the lore of the game. Everything is happening during the events of SCP 5000, this is an story where for an unknown reason the SCP Foundation stopped to protect mankind from the anomalie they contains and decided to declare war to Humanity. We are playing the UI2 which from what I remember is the Unatural Branch of the FBI that now belongs to the global occult coalition. This one is the Unatural Branch of the UN under the commands of the 108 councils and the general secretary of the UN. The SCP Foundation and the GOC normaly are long times allies, having most of the times the same objective to protect mankind. They also both participate into raid together against terrorists groups of interest. The only difference between the GOC and The Foundation is where the Foundation wants to understand how the anomalies works, the GOC only goals is to destroy the anomalies. So when the Foundation declared war to the GOC and all of the group of interest including official governments, the GOC is trying to find out why the Foundation is no longer what they used to be: an Ally and a Protector of mankind. In our pov it may seen the Foundation has turned out insane. But the reality in this game is they are the good guys and we are the bad guys, without event knowing it. So here we are, the GOC sent an intervention team to securise an installation of the Foundation that the latter purposely freed a virus or some sort of monsters to kill as much as civilians and people outside. There is many SCPs buts my guess are it is either we are in a humanoide biological risk containment Zone (and not sites as Zone are facilities that has to be far away from the population's closest city du to its anomalies dangerousness or easyness to break containment (mostly Keter break containment but remember that Keter dont mean dangerous most of the times)) and we are trying to gain time against either SCP 008 or SCP 940. If you want to knows why the Foundation is still the good guys I can explain later
@@reportdepart0 if you got to understand that sentence means if people in the comment asks me to explain then I will. On top of it I said I can, not I will.
@@atxiz527 I saw SCP Explained's video on SCP 5000 but the only takeaway I had there was that their motive was unknown. Do you have any further elaboration like you mentioned in your initial comment?
@@PowerSenpai Yes, basicaly the SCP Foundation made up an research project called Project pneuma which is about the subconcious. It were made by researchers specialised in everything that is about psychic anomalies. They discovered throught that project that an omnicient anomaly exists in our subconcious (on every human being) and is the reason of why mankind feels feelings such as loss, pain. From what the researchers discovered from that entity they called "it", it nourish itself of the pain mankind feels as well as using them as puppets for an evil purpose the Foundation is trying to discover. The Foundation understanding that this discover is an horror, made up an reunion with the O5 council and the Ethic comitee to try to understand what would be the best possible approach to save mankind. They understood that we, humans beings, are the house of "It". And as such if we wants "it" to be weakened, they have to burn the house. So imagine that **even the ethic comitee agreed to kill people because of how dangerous "it" is**. As such the Foundation sent a "cure" to its personnel including site directors with also orders, denying them of having any feelings. Which will prevent them to be under the control of "It". Next the mobile task forces also has been cured, which is why when you see a MTF commander putting a knife nobody screams. If they does, it means they feels pain and are under the control of "IT". Orders then has been given to declare war to humanity in order to sadly kill many people with hope it would weaken enough "IT' in order for it to have a physical form. Which would help the Foundation to contain it. The bad ending is the foundation failing the war against mankind. They never really went against their missions. But they are "killing mankind in order to protect mankind"
I love how you get to play as the GOC in this too, its cool that they're getting more usage and are becoming less of just being the foundation but dumb and incompetent
I look forward to seeing where they take it, like having foundation enemies fight along with zombies using them as meat shields. Maybe throw in D class who escaped but are shooting pretty much anybody in a base to get some confused fighting. And the enemy selection is endless for interesting possibilities, like the unkillable lizard stalking you through a whole level, the weeping angel like statues towards the end of 5k, mr.deeds being used by a foundation officer as a sort of boss, the silver sword thing, or even a corrupted photographer reality bender where you basically have to figure out a way to take out someone who can be nearly anywhere. So much good potential.

The glitching monitor entity is frightening. Hearing those sounds coming closer to you even though there is no physical entity is shivering.

wow, this is a combination of genre's I want WAY more of; horror tactical shooters. This genre has a ton of potential for cool shit, especially in vr
Anyone else notice, the helmet setups with FM53/FM54 kit is to modern SF standards and if you look closely at 1:55 there is a actual comms line!
Try Project Zomboid. Its not first person or military but is an open world survival game where you have to cooperate to survive in the apocalypse
Dreamt of making a game like that. Really hope to be able to make it happen one day in a far distant future.

love your videos drewski. been watching since around 2016, and i just wanna say im really happy that you make (and continue to make) videos, you fulfill a niche in gaming channels that i haven't seen filled by many others. keep up the great work, bud. this game looks awesome by the way, loved the screen anomaly part.
I'm like 75% through the video and I'm already loving the variety of hazards, from mobile enemies like zombies, humans, mimic dogs?, crabs to stationary but killable threats like that plant.
To invincible puzzle like enemies liie peanut and the theater screen that you just have to work around.
I really do hope they keep adding on cool new things because eventually the experience would be something truly unique in the mix of action horror and puzzle only possible in SCP
If I were to make any recommendations I'd like to see the foundation making some bootleg scp 019 for a hoard of small enemies that spawn breakable pots hidden around(breakable cause their not the actual scp 019)
I'd also love to see the use of anomalous weapons one day(like the tooth gun for something that slowly regens ammo)
An hour long Drewski video? oh hell yeah!

shoot man, even for 20 bucks full price id buy it, i like this project so much ill wait for it to go off sale, cool game and really creative idea that i think has been perfected in the best of ways.
Having already read the story behind SCP: 5K. It's a bit horrifying, but this is a great way to make a game about it.
Especially since the end is both....good and bad.
I've been a beta tester for about a year and i cant wait for the full game.
FINALLY SOMEONE COVERING A GAME THAT IS SLEPT ON
Also for those who don't know scp 5k, it is its own file. It's a suit that came back in time with records of an alternate reality. In that the foundation was corrupt and started killing everyone. My guess is that G.O.C is who you play as.
Foundation saw something that warranted humanities death.
Were playing as a FBI anomalies branch as of now
Alternate reality moment
its actually the UIU you play as
Most likely UIU.
I'll explain later
Doesn't explain later
@@reportdepart0 if you got to understand that sentence means if people in the comment asks me to explain then I will. On top of it I said I can, not I will.
@@atxiz527 alright 👌
But they are "killing mankind in order to protect mankind"

the LMG IS PERFECT FOR GETTING THORUGH THAT FINAL ROOM UNIL THE ROOM WHERE YOU ARM UP WITH THE AUGA3
Yoo hell yeah! It's always a good day to see SCP 5k getting some recognition!
Imagine playing this game in VR!
The sound in this seems pretty dope tbh
Maybe it's my unfamiliarity with FPS's, but I enjoy how you guys communicate when playing, as far as positioning and such goes.
I kinda want a section or part in this game in a mission where you need to use a mounted 50Cal to kill the hordes i would absolutly love it
