Coalition Gaming what software did you use to adjust the camera settings?
Saying "please subscribe" just deters people. They will sub if they think your content is good.
Best comparison I have seen on youtube. This is bang on what most people want to see.

This is one of the best webcam comparison videos I've seen, thank you for putting the time into this! I have my Razer webcam arriving tomorrow, and needed to upgrade since all of my work, education, and social (D&D and Zoom wine nights) has moved online. This makes me feel like I made the right choice.

I have both of these and sometimes I wonder if the Razor is even worth having this just proves I need to play with my settings more both are great cameras!

no they aren't.. the Razer is overpriced the 920S is 10x better.. just saiyan... when my friend uses the ring light... it makes it look like shit.. glare from every surface...
@@zsavage1820 Looks like we have a logi fan, they are both great webcams but I prefer the Kiyo because the ring light (If you use it correctly) is actually is a great help for someone who cannot afford real lighting. And yes it is overpriced in my opinion but I like the ring light and it makes your face look very smooth.

I always game in the dark because my second monitor is really dim and when I turn on lights behind me or behind the monitor, it's hard to see what's happening on the screen.
So basically this webcam is perfect for me!

6:40 when you turn the light off is where the razer shine because that’s the true winner the only reason the Logitech is able to pick your face up is it’s using the razer ring light as well.

depending where you sit (sometimes away from a window) you'll probably be in a darker spot with some low light. So honestly Riyo takes the cake if you do a lot of night streaming
If not and you have tons of light on the C920 is a pretty good deal

It's definitely the thing it can do that the 920 can't but outside of that really specific situation the 920 is clearly way better

Great review! That's awesome you did the comparison with "everyday" light configuration, too. I'm not a gamer. I'm considering the webcam for work from random places. So I won't have fancy studio lighting with me, just a ceiling light at best. Now I know, the Razor performs decently even without that. Thanks!

Extremely good, straight-forward review! Thanks! Definitely going with the Razer until I can get a better webcam, they seem to do similar things but I like streaming in a darker room with LED accents, so that saturation might really make my picture pop.

Appreciate the comparison, especially with the usage of a free, but very good software like OBS. My webcam just broke and these two were the two that would ship the fastest to my location, and the awkward yellowing of the Razer would have looked very bad with the soft yellow light of my room

The yellowish hue of the Razer was a real turnoff for me. I'm trying to figure out if this was a peculiarity of your setup or something common among all users of the Kiyo
u can adjust that with razer synapse 3.0 its the white balance

Just in case, I’ll add that the C920 2019 have a new device id, no longer support the LWS and old logitech driver, and accordingly lost the image quality because now you can't choose xrgb video format in obs camera settings. I don't know in what specific time period they made changes, since I have copies of 2016-2017, and one copy of 2019.

How are they doing if you have glasses on? Does the ringlight reflect in the glass? That's my struggle with my laptop webcam. I use cheap non-disguised glasses.
I don't wear glasses so it's hard to say. I imagine there would be a reflection into the camera but your eyes should be able to see thru it fine.

I recently picked up a C930e and I feel like Logitech has a tendency to soften the images too much

I need to get a capture card so I can attach my "real" camera for better quality
Have a USB 3.0 capture dongle/card on the way from AliExpress I got for $55. Gonna do a review of it, see how well it works
I just ordered a USB 2.0 dongle/card from ebay for $16, so I'll be curious to see how much garbage I just ordered! :)

For the extra 30$ that the razor cost you can buy a light. + the C920 has better default colors. I would say get the c920
see that sorta thing depends on the amount of space someone has for the lighting setup

@@CoalitionGaming You could always get a USB nightlight if you wanted super thin and compact. I thought the colours on the Logitech were far more natural, you look green in the first shot with the Razer, pretty funny given their green logo.
This Is the one Webcam Made for me I usually sit near my monitor and i have a room myslef and a setup and actually m room is usually dark So iwould turn on the kiyo's ring light and there you go Perfect Webcam Setup!

With these cameras, can you get a remote control tripod?
I don't see why you couldn't attach a remote control tripod so sure why not. Though I guess you'd have to kind the tangling of the USB cable though.
what software do you use for thumbnails?
Adobe Photoshop. But the free Adobe Spark is really helpful for thumbnails too

@@alcatraz9092 no complaints, although worth to mention it goes thru synapse 3 not sure if that was in the vid but I like synapse 3 better so it wasn't an issue. The light is super bright and it works well, I like how easy it is to adjust. The picture quality is pretty good, not amazing. But for a Webcam and what I'm using it for, it's perfect!

What software did he use to adjust the webcam settings?
Windows auto installed and OBS launched when I right clicked the source and selected properties then went to the webcam settings in there
The interesting thing: Now, 2 years later, the C920 non S can easily be found in local stores here for 60€.
The Razer is still 110€ and more.
Which shops are they around €60? I see like everything way more expensive than the Razer one

Kazoz YT probably due to covid 19 all stores are out of stock and one which aren't are selling stocks at a higher price

Eh, most people streaming aren't using webcam mics. But here's a quick summary for both mics on both cams: it's no good.

what if i don't have a camera or any setup lights for a potential camera with a budget of 150 pounds (202 dollars or 165 euros) should I aim for a c920 or a razer kiyo?

Just added each camera as their own video capture source then set then side by side and sized their boxes to fit the screen.

microphone? when talking to the camera, onboard shotgun mic (takstar sgc-598). When testing the webcams, the mic on my Sentey Arches headset.

I use both cameras for streaming. The Kiyo is perfect for Facecam, and the C920 is perfect for hand cams

yesh, I i wish there was some competition to the c920 too but look at 2:18, dude looks like a Simpsons character on the kiyo, looks perfect on the 920, looks completely yellow on the kiyo. It's not close at all unless you'd benefit from that light
