Mesela O Ses Türkiye gibi bir yarışmaya katılan müzik öğretmenleri , jüri olarak Ebru Gündeş gibi müzik eğitimi almayan biri tarafından seçiliyorlar ,ya da eleniyorlar. Seçilen kişi , zaten yeterince sınavdan geçerek bitirmiş okulu. Ebru Gündeş' in orda ona verebileceği , normal bir hocanın vermesi gereken ,üslup ,şan ,nazariyat , koro , toplu uygulama , repertuar ... dersi olamaz ,bilmiyor sonuçta . Ama ne verebilir ; mentorluk. Sahnede şunu giy ,şöyle dur , şu gazeteciye yanaşma, şu menajeri seçelim ,şöyle poz ver , jüri şu şarkıyı sevmez vs... gibi ... Konservaturdan mezunum ve hiçbir hocanın böyle öneri verdiğini görmedim. Sadece ders verirler. Ha arada "enstrümanınıza saygılı olun , her yerde ,düşük ücrete çalışmayın ,değerinizi düşürmeyin diyen olur. O da hocaların yaptığı mentorluktur ve hepsi yapmaz zaten... Sezen ' in seçtikleri, zaten bir sürü sınavdan geçerek, bir sürü hocanın elinde yetişiyorlar. Ve inanın o kadar zor ki , dışardan bakıldığı gibi lay lay lom değil yani ... Sezen Aksu ' nun ününden ,referans olarak yararlanıyorlar. Dediğim gibi mentorluk yapar ,ama hocalık herkesin harcı değil . Bir senede temel bilimlerden mezun olan 13 kişiden sadece iki kişi olabildi mesela. Ses eğitiminden de aynı şekilde 2 kişi ... Diğerlerinden devlet korolarına giden oldu ,milli eğitime müzik öğretmeni olarak giren var ,vs... Zaten kazara alınanlar olup da yeterli olamayan ,alay konusu olur. Çünkü çocuk oraya yetenekli olarak ve birilerinden ders alarak gelir. Daha birinci sınıfta olup da torpille alınan hocadan daha iyi enstrüman çalan adam ,hocayı dinlemez bile. Düşünün ki hoca da okullu olmasına rağmen, aynı bilgileri almasına rağmen herkesin harcı değil diyorum ... Sezen Aksu Sertap Erener ' e ders anlamında bir şey veremez. Ama bu demek değildir ki Sezen yeteneksiz , tu-kaka ! Hayır , yaratıcılığına ve gençleri maddi manevi desteklenmesine bayılıyorum . Sadece hocalık başka bu başka diyorum ... Kusura bakmayın uzun oldu ama...

İkisi de iğne yapar , ama birisi pistonu niye çekmesi gerektiğini bilmez , görmüştür pistonu yukarı çeker , sonra ittirir aşağıya . Sezen Aksu is the most important name in the history of Turkish pop music and a living legend. This music you listen to is a medley and all of the songs were written by Sezen Aksu. All of these songs were sung by this artists in their debut albums. (Sertab, Aşkın Nur, Levent) These singers started their careers as the back vocalists of Sezen Aksu. Sezen Aksu (lady on the left) is the Queen of Turkish pop music since 70's. Once upon a time, all of the other 3 singers was Sezen's back vocalists. At the beginning of 90's, Sezen introduced them respectively to the Music World. She was supervisor of their albums and composer of their many songs. There are other singers as well. She has hundreds of songs, most of them then became classics of Turkish pop. On the other hand Levent Yuksel was Sertab's husband and he was a bass guitar player :) Askin Nur Yengi is not a song but the name of the other singer :)
This show is a scene from Kral TV Music Awards in 2010, a mix of their famous songs, and I think they were just making playback :) The last song that you remember is Sezen's song "Hadi Bakalım" Then Loona recovered that song as "Rhythm Of The Night"

The woman with blonde hair is Sezen Aksu who is the biggest song writer and one of the leading pop singers in Turkey since 80s. Turkish people respect her very much. Other ones are the musicians educated by Sezen Aksu. Because of that, this meeting becomes meaningful for Turks. Besides, I think this video shouldn't be suggested because there are only short passes through the impressive songs belonging to 90s in Turkey. Sezen aksu is a song writer and composer who has lots and lots of songs given to pop singers in turkey. In late 80s levent yüksel aşkın nur yengi and sertab were sezens back vocols at the same time. In the beginning of 90s they all worked on their solo albums.
Btw sezen was mentor to sebnem ferah at the beginnig of her solo career.

The reason you might have recognized the melody around minute 11 is because a German group called Scooter made a song with that melody (Bigroom Blitz). Sezen aksu is a very famous songwriter and important in Turkish music, she also composed the song kiss kiss for Tarkan for example. I dont know why they recommend this video because it’s mostly only special for people who appreciate Sezen and her contribution for our music, watching it without context isnt that exciting ;).

Aşkın Nur Yengi is a singer, not the name of the song. This reminds me, as a child I thought her name wasn't an actual person's name but like a stage name or something, because it sounds like a phrase. Aşkın is a name (means trancendent, beyond) but it can also mean "of love". Nur means light, and yengi means victory. So I thought her full name meant something as a whole. It can be translated as "the glorious victory of love" . Though I highly doubt that her parents had this in mind when they named her.

I dont know if anyone mentioned but Sertab and Levent Yuksel were married in the past. He is a very talented fretless bass player a delight to listen to.
They performed together for more then 2 decades, and since Sezen is the one who discovered and educated them it is not an issue to sing together. By the way some of this songs were co composed/co written by this guys.
