    Got to laugh when I finally hear Harley Davidson guys be able to actually talk about the performance of a HD without having to lie to themselves and everyone else 😂👍. Go Harley welcome to modern motorcycles.

    At least when you do drop it you don't crack a cylinder head like some other manufacturers ;) That said I'd go for a middleweight like the Yamaha Tenrie or BMW 900GS I'd I wanted a serious adventure bike. This looks like it stacks up well against the compatition but I think you've missed the bus. I think people are starting to look for lighter ADV bikes.

    I really don't think anyone who can afford a Pan American in America, will ever go near any real dirt trails with one of these bikes. The Demographic of Harley riders is primarily Dentists and Construction Foreman. I just don't see people going on dirt on a $25,000 bike (supply and demand and factory add ons). Although they have created an entirely new market, which never existed with American bikes, so dirt riding might become a thing in time. In the past, you didn't get a high performance street bike that was also a high performance dirt bike. Nothing like that existed in North America. Most people still don't know that real "Dual Sport" bikes exist, because 15 years ago, they didn't. It will be interesting to see how this changes motorcycling, now that "dirt" is a valid option.

    • @grandtetonharley-davidson8690
      @grandtetonharley-davidson8690  3 года назад +3

      The Pan America pricing starts at less than $20K...not $39K. It's price competitive and performance competitive with other big adventure motorcycles in the category. We have several reservations for this motorcycle already and most people want to set it up with a more "dirt" or "off-road" orientation.

      Whatchu talking about " In the past, you didn't get a high performance street bike that was also a high performance dirt bike. Nothing like that existed in North America." KTM was here. BMW was here. Honda. Ducati. Triumph. Yamaha. Etc. All these companies made bikes that can go almost anywhere in the dirt and haul arse on the road.
      ADV bikes existed LONG before HD decided to get in that market.
      Dual sports didn't exist 15 years ago? Yeah. You don't know what you're talking about.

    • @Ritalie
      @Ritalie 3 года назад +1

      @@monunyabidness5949 I don't remember anything that had a smooth street engine with over 100 horsepower 15 years ago that was a competitive dirt bike in the USA. KTM hasn't used counter balancers properly until very recently so their engines haven't been any good for long street driving. The Suzuki VStrom I think came out in 2008. And before that only BMW had anything approaching a real Adventure Bike. Where I'm at nobody owns BMW.

      @@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Was joking about $39K, but by the time it's actually sold to the consumer, with the extreme demand, and optional accessories, I could see it being over $30K.
