I married a Filipina a few years ago and cannot believe how lucky I am to have met an incredible lady. She has shared with me all of these experiences and more (as I’m sure you have experienced too). I cannot wait to retire in the Philippines. As you have said, “I can’t believe you wouldn’t want to live here!” I’m trying to convince my American friends to visit the Philippines, or at least travel abroad. Only 20% of Americans have a passport! And most only use it for Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean… Sigh… They are missing out on so much! That was beautiful brother. There’s a Filipino value called ‘pakiki-sama’ - means the ‘ability to mingle/coexist/get along’ . You have that trait and is easily recognized
The most hospitable, genuine and generous people are not those living in luxurious mansions in first world countries but those living in simple huts or shanties thou impoverished are willing to greet you with a smile and invite you to their homes to share whatever food they have in the table. You have just experienced the finest example of Filipino hospitality. Especially in the provinces, those kind of invitations are not unusual if you are a visitor to the area. People like you are truly welcome here. Unfortunately, not all foreigners who come to the Philippines are as nice, friendly, and civilized as you. Some nationalities are the exact opposite of you and manifest atrocious upbringing, terrible manners, and blatant disrespect for our people. Keep safe and thank you for promoting the friendliest country in the world. More power to your vlogs, sir.
As Filipino who was born in the Philippines raised in America I'm glad your the a true pinoy once they leave the Philippines they think we are stupid because were nice our friends in America are African american and whites but this Nigerian and ghana students in nursing Filipinos do not know this because they are saying in RUclips lies and hatred about Filipinos Nigerian and Ghana are not liked in America they are rude and arrogant also koreans are moving to the Philippines they are not our friends in America they think we are garbage to them koreans also are not liked by other cultures in America but there moving to the Philippines for money to exploit the Filipinos majority of the koreans have red light district in the nudy bars were not a perfect race but Filipinos are ignorant of other cultures history has proven it also in hong kong and arabic country

Thank you for being courteous and friendly to the locals... Just keep it up and you won't have any problem staying in the Philippines because how you treat locals they will give it back to you in double or more... You are now becoming a Filipino by heart...
Get use to it dude,,,’coz that’s very natural to Filipinos been here in California but there’s nothing like that in here.yes of course I miss Philippines simple life but happy life..A piece of advice it’s cheaper to live in a village than in town or city the foods are fresher especially fruits & vegetables.Take your time finding your true love as well don’t get ladies from the city they’re not cheap either simple life & a happy heart is all you need..GOOD LUCK & God bless👍👏👏
That's why foreigners loved it here, they'll never feel alone even in the most secluded areas. everybody is putting an effort even just to have a simple phrase to be able to respond.

Kindness matters to us Filipinos. We may not have much in life compared to other nationalities, but we take pride of our unparallelled hospitality. It is our nature and strength as Filipinos.
You're on the right track, buddy. Keep it up. Life only opens up (for you) places and experiences that you expect and look forward to. From experience, being with Filipinos can be life-changing in the most positive way. All best.
it's natural here in our country to invite people neighbors and friends to stop by the house if we have some gatherings or celebrations. we love to to this all the time. hope u enjoy your stay here in the philippines 🇵🇭♥️
Bahaha I love how he automatically gets invited to a b day party. One thing that I admire about Filipino culture is that you can be a stranger, and we’ll invite you to a party haha.
I love most this scene with you willingly obliging to the invitation of a typical Filipino family and gamely interacting with them. You are right we love singing; its part of almost every family gathering such as this birthday celebration. What you've got here is a taste of the inherent Filipino hospitality.
We find it a grave sin if we don't share food to others, to ANYONE. Food is a blessing that needs to be shared. The key to attract filipinos is by being happy and smiling.
I really enjoy watching videos like this ! I'm so proud being a Filipino ! We are the champion interms of hospitality ...always smiling and ofcourse the land of singers 😊👏😊

Aloha from the Big Island Hawaii! Love your content & am impressed on how well you converse with everyone in your videos!! Please keep up & looking forward for more travels in the Philippines 🇵🇭 on your Channel!! Amazing work!! Mahalo!!
Be happy with the Filipinos that you encounter with. Please treasure the moments, have fun and enjoy it too.
The "unexpected" sometimes turns out into good or bad and thats what makes the journey fun.
Enjoy your stay here in the Philippines and be safe on your travels!~
100% ... I literally had just finished saying that I'm trying to go to the beach, but I'd be open for an unplanned experience.. three minutes later, I was invited to a 2 year old's birthday party 😂
Thank you for being courteous and friendly to the locals... Just keep it up and you won't have any problem staying in the Philippines because how you treat locals they will give it back to you in double or more...
You are now becoming a Filipino by heart...
Get use to it dude,,,’coz that’s very natural to Filipinos been here in California but there’s nothing like that in here.yes of course I miss
Philippines simple life but happy life..A piece of advice it’s cheaper to live in a village than in town or city the foods are fresher especially fruits & vegetables.Take your time finding your true love as well don’t get ladies from the city they’re not cheap either simple life & a happy heart is all you need..GOOD LUCK & God bless👍👏👏
This is actually a big part of the video I’m editing right now! I talk about a lot of this in the video. Thank you for watching and following along!
That's why foreigners loved it here, they'll never feel alone even in the most secluded areas. everybody is putting an effort even just to have a simple phrase to be able to respond.
I'm a Filipino who came to England 3 months ago to work.. and God.. I mean it when I say I miss my home country so much! thank you for these videos! +like and sub!
That's the Filipino vibe everyone is kind and welcoming . Hope you enjoy Cebu
The badjao welcome me with a begging cup all the time. Sometimes. I dance with them as they block my path. I’ve never felt welcome here. I always have to keep my guard up in this hell scape. I’m traumatized already.
Sir Jonathan, you are so down to earth. You are so friendly and the Filipinos you meet like you very much. You are not pretending liking them. I hope you will stay longer. God bless you Jonathan.
Being so hospitable is one of the most admired traits of us Filipinos specially when we see a foreigner it's like we see a celebrity.
right, right 👍🇬🇧🇵🇭💖💖💖
Dude, you have the absolute best interactions. I commend you for not just creeping on the women and doing weird stuff. That's really dope. I live in NorCal for a few months and worked with a few Filipinos. They really are very accepting and inviting naturally and they love Steph Curry lol. Thanks for just being a genuine human being bro. I watch your videos with my 2 daughters almost everyday, I am going to bring them to Phillipines one day.
hey thanks for this comment! I agree, there are a lot of creepy channels out there that just use girls to get views. Definitely not the type of content I'll ever create. Thank you for watching and hopefully you'll get the chance to visit one day!

Jonathan, me and wife enjoy your videos. We really appreciate your approach to highlighting the Filipino spirit. I have been going to the Philippines since 1984 with the Lonely Planet guide book. My wife is a Filipina and said you do an excellent job interacting with the locals. We are also from Alabama. Keep up the good work and take care.

😂 I'm bad with remembering just one name! Luckily, editing the video helped me study for the name quiz. Thanks for the sub!!
Just forget all their names but not the "lechon"😂😂
You give a great in depth presentation I can't wait to make my first visit awesome ..
The people are the main feature of the Philippines hands down, what a beautiful family full of kindness and smiles, nice video.

Such a beautiful humble and warm hearted family. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
It feels very good to be with goid people.
Kindness matters to us Filipinos. We may not have much in life compared to other nationalities, but we take pride of our unparallelled hospitality. It is our nature and strength as Filipinos.
You have humbleness, therefore you have everything; that's what really counts in life.
You're on the right track, buddy. Keep it up. Life only opens up (for you) places and experiences that you expect and look forward to. From experience, being with Filipinos can be life-changing in the most positive way. All best.
It's been perfect so far! I really love it here
it's natural here in our country to invite people neighbors and friends to stop by the house if we have some gatherings or celebrations. we love to to this all the time. hope u enjoy your stay here in the philippines 🇵🇭♥️
Thank you for visiting our country, and for promoting the beautiful places here, enjoy you stay!
Lechon about P15,000, Beers & Alcohol about P 10,000. Got invited in a Filipino party with Karaoke 🎤, PRICELESS 💚. Btw, I want to meet lechon too🐷😁👌🇵🇭 Birthday girl is so adorable and what an amazing family 😍.
100% agree! This was 10 times better than my original plan of going to the beach alone
You definitely win my respect! Thank you for sharing the world about our culture. This is my first time seeing your blogs and I am loving it. I am filipina but I live in Utah. Watching your blogs really touch my heart and I cannot wait to go back home. I love my country and my people. Everywhere we go we carry that giving and smiling and just be friendly to all the people we cross our path. Even tho most people doesn’t give us the same treatment specially here in the U.S and it is sad. Thank you for all the love that you have for my Filipino family. Cheers to your more success. Stay safe and God bless you and praying for your safety out there.
Glad you had a great time in the Phils. Being hospitable & friendly is part of culture in the Phils. Enjoyed your video.
I am a Filipino and I have lived here in the US for 14 years now. I am still amazed every time I go home at how hospitable Filipinos are, even to a fellow Filipino like me. I just subscribed to your channel and keep doing what you're doing. You're one of my favorites now. Next time try going to the Negros Island :)
This makes me proud of being a Pilipino.💝💝💝🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

More of that experience as long as you stay positive with our locals and keep that conversation going.Hoping for your long "stay-cation" in our country and embracing our culture. Keep it up. Your on your way for 50k subscribers? ,💪💪💪
Hanging out with the locals is the best part! It may even be longer than a stay-cation! We'll see... it's going very well so far! and hopefully so on that 50k!
It’s a Pilipino culture to show act of kindness and offer what they have to any guest.

At 3:12 of your video, I don't know why your chuckle made me cry but I guess, it's because it sounds so pure of joy and it just made me miss Cebu. Enjoy your travels and I'm very happy you feel the warm welcoming nature of Filipinos as you explore the many islands of Philippines 🇵🇭! Enjoy!

Love your vlog! I worked in the UK as a nurse. When I travelled to Manchester from Scotland by bus the Filipina nurse that sat beside me invited me to stay in her rental place with 4 more roommates. Filipinos abroad are also genuinely kind and hospitable. We bring our culture and values wherever we go around the world. More power to your vlog! God bless you!🌷

Love your stuff Bud, I married to a Philo and have permanent residency there. We live in Hong Kong now but going back in January to finish house and see family. Your right about the kindness and family ties with the people, enjoy your visit
"I can't believe I'm singing on my own channel" is the best content makers I've seen in all the visiting travel vloggers I've watched. Classic. You are genuine, Jonathan. Great to see you enjoy your trip around the archipelago. PS. A cap or head gear would come in handy in your travels around here, you know =D Stay safe.
Hahah.. I’m becoming more comfortable singing on the channel lately.. this was the first though. Thanks for watching !!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Absolutely! More singing to come then (assuming you don't get flagged =D)? I meant to say, btw, "best content maker's comment…" Have watched, liked (but of course) your other PHL vids but commented finally on this one just because of how amused we were of that comment and, tbh, did look forward to "that song." HBD was great though, as it was a great dare shared and it was well intended. Cheers and stay safe!
