Oh man I love ur intros lol. I really like this string, do you have any cheaper options to this? its actually a bit expensive where I live. Im using a Pro staff which is kinda stiff with tour bite, and need a softer string ( the string bed feels soo stiff right now, no pocketing at all), so I need something like HyperG but cheaper ( maybe head LYNX? I heard its pretty similar ) Tried Volkl Cyclone aswell, really like the ball pocketing and spin but its just too powerful. Thanks!
Hi, what gauge and tension of Solinco Hyper-G do you recommend for Head Radical MP 2021. I play with Head Lynx Tour at 22kg/48.5 lbs. I don't brake strings.
Congrats on the channel. Watching from Brazil. I have two Yonex DR98's, and am getting used to it with LXNSmart. Thinking of using Hyper-G on my second DR98, to experiment. Suggested tension? by the way, I am 64 and coming back to the sport, after retiring from surfing. Have a bit of inflammation in the wrist, so I need to nurse it until I get better. Thanks
Thank you so much! The Yonex DR 98s are not only one of the best Yonex rackets, but one of the best tennis rackets in recent memory! I would string your second racket with Solinco Hyper G at 5lbs LESS THAN what you currently string LXN Smart with. Let me know how that goes!
@@MarkSansait Thank you for the answer. Just a little of advice on the channel. I do a lot of work in this area oversees. People don't like putdowns, even of other people. I wanted to hear your opinion on Kirshbaum Max Power Rough. I'm a 4.5 doubles player trying to find low-powered, spin-focused strings with a great tension maintenance and has been somewhat satisfied with Max Power Rough and Hyper G.
I havent played with Kirshbaum Max Power Rough. If you are somewhat satisfied with the Solinco Hyper G, I would try a packet of Solinco Confidential! Let me know what your thoughts are!
Question: I have a Babolat Strike 100 or 16x19 or something like that and I am wondering what tension to put my strings at. The strings I am using are Solinco Hyper G
To start, I would recommend stringing the Solinco Hyper 16g at 47lbs to start! Let me know how that goes. Also let me know if you want me to string it :)
I had both the 1.20 and the 1.25 and there is more power in the thicker string. I would recommend to try them at the same tension with the same racket. I am staying with the 1.25 as it gives me more power to attack.
Hey man, this my first time trying this string. What tension do you recommend for my yonex ezone98? We have quite the same playstyle as I was observing your games. Fan from the Philippines! :)
From the town that I lived in, its really hard to get a hold of any branded strings. So, mostly what's available on my stringing guy is what I use, pretty cheap half the pricr of hyper g. No idea of the brand though
Please review Luxilon 4g rough vs. 4g traditional. Used by De Minaur and tsitipas, respectively. Love Hyper G currently, great feel, but power is dependent on the racket you use as well..
Man, you have to do yourself the favor of trying Hyper G in 17g at a bit lower tension... I have a 2019 Pure Aero and used 16g @50lbs and absolutely hated it. Felt better after a few hours, but I felt like I had to pound the ball. Tried 17g at 47lbs and I love it!!! Feels nice and has plenty of power!! It pockets the ball and shoots it off with ton of spin. Felt flying everywhere!! bit, but I haven't committed because I enjoyed it so much at 47lbs.
With my time constraints I try to do all my tennis string reviews in the same tension, same racket, and same gauge best I can. But I do agree, some of the tennis strings out there perform much better in different tensions and different gauges.
Completely agree. Hyper-G in 16 and 17g are two completely different animals. I used the Pure Aero 2019 with 16g @50lbs and had very similar results as you describe. Tried the 17g at same tension and loved it. This is after using Tecnifibre NRG2/17 almost exclusively for the past 15+ years. Like it now so much that I bought a reel of it. Of course just in time for the Hyper-G Soft to come out...
Would a lower tension in a Hyper G 16g work in a 2019 Pure Aero?? Would appreciate recommendations. Currently using Solinco Tour Bite 16g at 49lbs but someone recently gave me Solinco Hyper G 16g string to try it out. :)
@@tubeontherox Hyper-G is a softer string than Tour Bite. To me the 17 and 16 gauges have a completely different feel and IMO, can't understand why anyone would use the 16 over the 17 unless they were a chronic string breaker. The 17 is so much crisper and offers better spin. Having said that, the 16 gauge will work in a Pure Aero, based on your setup I'd try 50lbs as it will have a bit more power than the Tour Bite.
Hello again Mark.Would this hyper G 18 gauge fits for my Dunlop Srixon CX 200 tour 16 x 19? My current string now is Kirschbaum pro line ii 17 @48/46.For me PL2 is very good when it comes to comfort, ball pocketing, feel, playability and control..But i think the spin potential is fair. I need more spin.I am a strong 4.0 with semi western (quite western) forhand, and i have a slice and topspin backhand backhand.
@@MarkSansait I've heard mixed; a little more power than HG. Figured it's worth a try for $12. Have a set of Revolution 17 coming tomorrow. Will try to post back after a playtest.. Great channel BTW...
@@MarkSansait I strung up my 2020 Pure Drive with the Revolution 17 at 50lbs, same tension as I use for Hyper-G. I had read that the Revolution needed some break-in; those reports weren't wrong. First few hits were really stiff and board-like. Did NOT like it at all. Have put about 2 1/2 hours on it since. It has softened up a bit but I still find it very stiff and feels very muted compared to Hyper-G. Perhaps it needs more break-in time but that in itself is a deal-breaker for me. With Hyper-G, I can go from the stringing machine to the court and it feels great right out of the bag. I didn't perceive any additional power or control over the Hyper-G and really didn't like the feel of the string at all. I'll be cutting these out and going back to Hyper-G.
Hey! Thank you for review! Today I ocassionaly got hyper G string on my Aero Pro Drive. Usually I go with RPM Blast, but it was not present when I came to restring my racket. Didn't try it yet. Hope it will be OK. Can you give your opinion about both srings, which one is better? (The price of RPM Blast is 1.5 times bigger)
@@Olly_2024_ Hyper G seemed to be a harder string (got some pain in my elbow). It was more durable, but not as good as RPM. May be less tension will help, but I didn't make experiment, as I bought RPM in reel for a nice price.
Thanks for the question! I believe the 17g hyper g would be a fantastic string for an ezone dr 100! anywhere between 45lbs and 55lbs is a viable tension for that string and racket set up - let me know how it feels!

@@MarkSansait it very special. Some hate it some love it. unfortunately it breaks too soon on my vcore100. I use it in crosses, it brings confort, power and spin (wierd texture) with a more rigid poly in mains. Have fun
I would love to, but in order to thoroughly review different tensions, gauges, and rackets of one specific string would take a very long time and cost a lot of money :(. I do appreciate the suggestion though!
@@MarkSansait Second time you have said about not having time in response to someone. Perhaps I can suggest you don't position yourself as a string reviewer if you don't have the time or funds to do it properly. It's next to meaningless to just string one frame in one gauge at one tension. Unless a viewer plays that exact setup, what is anyone gaining from that? I play lots of different strings in different frames and try different tensions, hybrids, full beds, etc. As a stringer, how can I recommend strings to my customers unless i actually test them? Sorry, not trying to be mean, but I don't think this is your avenue of expertise!
@@6064jkractually do one 😂 that would discount every content creator on this platform. Who has the time and money to buy loads of rackets at minimum £200 a racket, reels and reels of different strings and not different strings different gauges at minimum £100 each. You gonna contribute to this?
For people that want to test this string, I would DEFINITELY recommend stringing it on the lower range of your racket tension. But for these reviews I always string at 55lbs to ensure consistency! 🙏🙏
@@MarkSansait : Any comment on stiffness of this string for players with wrist/elblow issues. I use Volkl cyclone/Black Widow 16 guage@52 at the moment and find it comfortable.
Very fine string for me. It is stiff, but it feels very predictable and provides excellent control. This actually allows you to hit hard and fast and the ball still goes into the court. Trampoline effect is very small, so if a player likes a good amount of trampoline acceleration from the strings they will probably not like this one. On touch shots it feels quite muted, so you probably need to practice them a bit and develop some muscle memory to get them right. Tension maintenance is fantastic.

No ball pocketing whatsoever. Maybe the stringer, strung it waaay tighter than he should @24kg for a 275 Yonex Ezone Rally I use. Maybe a lower tension would enable some more ball-pocketing. Great for slices and heavy top spins, if you have a good technique. BUT, Very bad for returns, volleys and flat hits, because you don't get any feedback. That's my experience so far. I'll say it again, maybe it's all because of the lbad combination of a lightweight racquet and too tight strung tennis string.
@@MarkSansait just strang my two lightweight racquets. The first with Isospeed Cream 1.23 @22kg and the second one with Kirschbaum Super Smash Honey @22kg, too. Will share my experience soon. I know tha both my racquets being at 280gr are light, but maybe there are beginners out there like me who are not ready to use a 330gram racquet yet.
Agree, worthless review of Hyper G at 55 lbs. Never sting this above 50 lbs. Also huge difference between 16 and 17. Hyper G 17 at 48 lbs in a Yonex DR 98 is the best setup I've ever used.
I did not liked Hyper G at all. Its a very hard feeling string. Yes it does helps control the ball but at a heavy cost of losing a lot of power for me. Moreover, what I really disliked was that I had a lot of trouble putting some slice on it as it felt too hard. I am not tall so I need a lot of slice on serves to be effective and my serve was really bad with it. This string is not for everyone. Probable is better for those who hit very hard and needs more control
@@MarkSansait I still need to know more about strings ahhaha. U have tested so many more and you are helping me improve my knowledge about strings in general. Right now I am using Pros Pro Eruption. I like it a lot. It may looks similar to Hyper G but its kinda different feeling. Its softer and allow for more touch. Yes u have less control and needs to generate more spin yourself and it loses tension and playability faster than Hyper G but its much more nicer to the arms and so less expensive. By the way, I really wanna try Yonex Poly Tour Pro. Do you have a review of it here? thanks!
somehow can’t decide between hyperg and tourbyte :) hyperg survives 10 hours of play ... this is best I found so far. In term of spin it is very good but less than textured strings. Hyperg is not soft on arm for those who care. In overal string is very good!
I watched several of your reviews. They are sweet and short but missing so much information that it's almost meaningless (sorry). You have not said what gauge, what tension, what racquet, and some other basic information that is needed to appreciate the review. I have used Hyper-G 17g, 18g, 19g and 20g in three different racquets and slightly different tensions. Some I hated, some I really liked. You need to add more information if you want to attract more viewers.

Spot on assessment but I think this string and I don’t match. It’s good though. Just not for me. I need to feel that roar coming off the racket, assured that that boy is coming out with some heat. Thank you for your intellectual insight, Mark!
Looking for something to try or change from the Alu Power 125...looking for more spin and higher launch angle to go higher over the net. Love to hear your suggestions. thank you. (FYI, I'm using a Pure Strike 16x19)
Try the Yonex Poly Tour Pro at the same gauge! Its cheaper, softer, and better!
@@MarkSansait Thank you. I saw that one, seems more $ than the Hyper G.
But definitely less expensive than any garbage Luxilon I know of 🤣😂
Yessir - two years ago I was part of their ambassador programs. Cheap strings!
huh?
Oh man I love ur intros lol.
I really like this string, do you have any cheaper options to this? its actually a bit expensive where I live.
Im using a Pro staff which is kinda stiff with tour bite, and need a softer string ( the string bed feels soo stiff right now, no pocketing at all), so I need something like HyperG but cheaper ( maybe head LYNX? I heard its pretty similar )
Tried Volkl Cyclone aswell, really like the ball pocketing and spin but its just too powerful.
Thanks!
I can't think of anything cheaper with what your looking for tbh. But maybe try Tier One Black Knight if your in the Americas
Hi, what gauge and tension of Solinco Hyper-G do you recommend for Head Radical MP 2021. I play with Head Lynx Tour at 22kg/48.5 lbs. I don't brake strings.
Try 45lbs since it's a dead string
@@MarkSansait and what gauge? Should I go with 17/1.20 or 16L/1.25?
Humor is best appreciated when it is self-effacing. Your knowledge of the sport is your strong suit. Just a suggestion. If I could put in a request. The old Wilson Sensation plus, 17g. Thanks.
Loved the spin, hated that it killed my forearm and elbow. I had to hybrid it with Velocity MLT 17 in the crosses (both at 45 lbs).
Oh man, if this kills your forearm and elbow, do NOT.. I repeat... do NOT try the Solinco Tour Bite (check out my review).
Which best for spin...black widow or hyper G....tks
I had both the 1.20 and the 1.25 and there is more power in the thicker string. I would recommend to try them at the same tension with the same racket. I am staying with the 1.25 as it gives me more power to attack.
I am sticking with 16 gauge (1.30mm) strung at the same tension to ensure consistency, quality, and durability (unlike Kirschbaum Black Shark 😭).
Hey man, this my first time trying this string. What tension do you recommend for my yonex ezone98? We have quite the same playstyle as I was observing your games.
Fan from the Philippines! :)
What do you normally string your polys at?
From the town that I lived in, its really hard to get a hold of any branded strings. So, mostly what's available on my stringing guy is what I use, pretty cheap half the pricr of hyper g. No idea of the brand though
Please review Luxilon 4g rough vs. 4g traditional. Used by De Minaur and tsitipas, respectively. Love Hyper G currently, great feel, but power is dependent on the racket you use as well..
I have a lot of people asking me to do the Luxilon 4g Rough - i cant wait!
Low powered but can put the ball on a dime ...
Mark Sansait I understand, 17g is a different beast in the Hyper G.
Considering how popular hyper g is, I haven't seen it in a hybrid. How do you think it will do there?
Hello again Mark.Would this hyper G 18 gauge fits for my Dunlop Srixon CX 200 tour 16 x 19? My current string now is Kirschbaum pro line ii 17 @48/46.For me PL2 is very good when it comes to comfort, ball pocketing, feel, playability and control..But i think the spin potential is fair. I need more spin.I am a strong 4.0 with semi western (quite western) forhand, and i have a slice and topspin backhand backhand.
I would think its worth a shot! Although you might be breakings strings quite a bit....
Currently a big fan of Hyper-G 17.. What do you think of Solinco Revolution?
I havent tried Solinco Revolution yet, but I've heard great things about it though!
@@MarkSansait I've heard mixed; a little more power than HG. Figured it's worth a try for $12. Have a set of Revolution 17 coming tomorrow. Will try to post back after a playtest.. Great channel BTW...
Thanks my man! Let me know what you think!
Which do you conclude was better?
@@Olly_2024_ Hyper G seemed to be a harder string (got some pain in my elbow). It was more durable, but not as good as RPM. May be less tension will help, but I didn't make experiment, as I bought RPM in reel for a nice price.
What tension you put it at? I usually play with rpm blast at 55 on a pure aero. I'm looking to test it out.
Test specs are always in the description :)
52
I would like to see alu power soft :)
In my next order I will definitely include it. I have Alu Power in a reel right now!
Between these strings, RPM blast and ISO Speed, which one did you like more?
Babolat RPM Blast => Never
Solinco Hyper G = > for spin
IsoSpeed Baseline Control = > everything else
@@MarkSansait IsoSpeed for everything else, as in power, control and spin?
IsoSpeed>Solinco for everything except spin
@@MarkSansait thanks in what gauge do you prefer the isospeed please?
I have an ezone DR 100. Would hyper g 17 at 48 lbs work well?
Thanks for the question! I believe the 17g hyper g would be a fantastic string for an ezone dr 100! anywhere between 45lbs and 55lbs is a viable tension for that string and racket set up - let me know how it feels!
@@MarkSansait Thanks for the reply. Will do
Awesome videos man! So what's your string of choice? 💪
Funny enough, it's this string! It's my very first string review ever 😂😂😂
@@MarkSansait glad to hear💪 can i have a question?
What racket did u test this on
Can you review solinco confidential
I already did 🤗
@@MarkSansait which one easy to play the hyperg or confidential?
Hi I am using the wilson blade 16x19 v7 with hyper g I feel lack of power from the string but I also want to same control feeling, do you have any recommendation. thx alot
Try the Solinco Confidential! I did review it on this channel as well
@@MarkSansait thx but how about your latest review, isospeed baseline control
The Solinco you mentioned are 4-sided, but the ISOSPEED Baseline Control is round.... they are very different strings!
How do you compare Hyper G with RPM Blast?
I answered this in the Volkl Cyclone review
Luxilon smart?
Some of the coaches I have been working with were recommending that string. I'll have to check it out soon! Thanks for the input!
@@MarkSansait it very special. Some hate it some love it. unfortunately it breaks too soon on my vcore100. I use it in crosses, it brings confort, power and spin (wierd texture) with a more rigid poly in mains. Have fun
Whats on ur mains?
Humble suggestion: play-test different tensions and gauges of Hyper G in different head sizes and stiffness racquets.
Hey Mark ..Since its low powered, do you recommend it to get it strung at 52 instead of 55 lbs to get some more power ?
For people that want to test this string, I would DEFINITELY recommend stringing it on the lower range of your racket tension.
But for these reviews I always string at 55lbs to ensure consistency!
🙏🙏
@@MarkSansait : Any comment on stiffness of this string for players with wrist/elblow issues. I use Volkl cyclone/Black Widow 16 guage@52 at the moment and find it comfortable.
It's significantly stiffer than Volkl Cyclone
@@MarkSansait I gave it for stringing @ 52 today on my Dunlop Frame with Flex 68. I hope this string works well for me. Keeping fingers crossed.
Let me know how it feels!
Is this string good for tennis elbow?
If you currently have tennis elbow, I suggest you do NOT try this string as a full bed.
Hey man, please 🙏review Gamma Moto love Thijs string in my Prince Textreme Tour 95,but i never tried Solinco Hyper-g OR Confedential.I like to now if its worth the extra Dollar, eather wat, keep up your good work, high from Holland🙏👍😎
I personally think the combination of a light racket, high tension, and natural stiffness of the string provides the no ball pocketing feeling.
Hyper G actually has pretty good pocketing. Might have to string lower to get the effect though.
Agreed! But I string ALL polyesters 55lbs for consistency.
Agree, worthless review of Hyper G at 55 lbs. Never sting this above 50 lbs. Also huge difference between 16 and 17. Hyper G 17 at 48 lbs in a Yonex DR 98 is the best setup I've ever used.
It's weird seeing Mark without Blonde hair
It's weird seeing mark. Trying looking in the mirror and seeing THIS face everytime 😤

Have you tried Solinco Confidential?
If you think Hyper G is not soft on the arm, DO NOT PLAY WITH SOLINCO TOUR BITE unless you want to have massive arm problems.
Thats why i use 52-55 pounds on my racket, if i using that type of strings
THUMPY DUMPY THUMY THUMP
HyperG and ALU power is 😫
I personally liked Hyper G! The price isnt bad either. However Alu Power is just kind of.... "meh"
Black code is better in my opinion
I have not tried it yet, i cant wait!
Thanks Denes! I always try to end my video with the test specs (racket, tension, etc), but sometimes I totally forget while scripting - but I promise I will try harder for my future videos. However, I do always throw the test specs in the description.
Unfortunately I do not do tennis string review full time, so I want to limit my testing to 16gauge (if possible) and the same tension.
I definitely do appreciate the input! Happy hitting my friend!
