Love the Vokyl Cyclone Tour Red 18g, on my second reel, more arm friendly than, Alu Power Rough, great spin, but can still handle touch shots for me. String at 55lbs, usually play with it for about 2 months, unless I want a fresh bed for a big upcoming match.
I am about 4 reviews away from ordering more tennis string packets online to review. I am currently making a list of all the strings I am going to test in the latter part of 2020 and first half of 2021. Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable will definitely be on it :).
Great content! You have a good insight into tennis strings and their performance on court! Could you review some Tourna polys or prince syngut next? Cheers
I have been eying the Tourna Polyesters for a long time now. My next batch of string orders will include a number of them. As for synthetic guts.... I really dont review synthetic guts because they break wayyyyy to quickly for me :(.
this guy is doing what i want to do lol; i'm 18 and i've been in programming since i was 10, and I really love to follow tennis professionally and hopefully be a youtuber some time xd keep it up man
I tried it. But it felt like a backboard to me (already at low tension), coming from Black Magic (Genesis) - another good low cost soft co-poly. Tried Hyper-G and I loved it so much that I will stick with it for a while.
Mark Sansait I use 17g Hyper G at 48lbs on my 97 Pro Staff. It feels great with plenty of power and spin. I don’t feel it underpowered at all. The Cyclone is so stiff and low power at the same tension. I had to cut it out in 3 days.
Not gonna lie, I wish I had the orange one. It really looks sleek on most rackets! Yellow isn't too bad either! Yellow would work best on something like the Babolat Pure Aero 🥰
Cyclone 1.20 in black is awesome and cheap. Nice feel, mega spin. Only string that comes near it is Hyper-G if you like control and spin. Hyper-G a bit lower-powered and stays that way, whereas Cyclone will liven up more and more as it ages, until you have to cut it out.
@@MarkSansait a guy wjo has been a hyper-g addict for over a year tried a packet i had laying around just to get rid of it for me, has switched to it. Loves it, said more pocketing and control. I had to get a reel so i can keep him happy. Also strung it for a flat hitter and he's loving the feel.
@@MarkSansait As a 4.0, I've never had them break - I restring about every 2 months @ 56lbs, but then I only play about 1-2 times a week at this point. I think your review is extremely accurate, though, regarding it's strengths and weaknesses. Great video content, Mark!
ET got you another subscriber. I know you're a poly freak, but I'd love to see you do a review of Triax. I think you'll be surprised with the spin potential, and he pop and feel are almost gut-like, IMHO.
Ohhh Technifbre Triax! Even though I am currently reviewing Polyesters because I would break a softer string in an hour, I would definitely be willing to play test it. I will be ordering tennis strings in the next 30 days because I am running low on playtests. I do have a running list of suggestions (similar to yours) that I will gladly pay for. 🤩. Volkl Cyclone vs Yonex Poly Tour Pro, which one do you prefer? I need a softer poly to pair with a stiff multi Yonex Rexis Speed on my 2022 Yonex Ezone 100. I put a full bed Yonex Rexis at 55lbs and it's so stiff and felt dead. Is it too much of tension?

Just tried this string did not like it. Did not try full bed I string hybrid Gosen microsheep 17G crosses and Cyclone in mains at 48lbs blade V6 no CV. My preferred string & my gold standard setup is Tourbite 18G mains with Gosen Microsheep 17G in crosses at 47lbs in my blade pro 16X19 haven't found anything that compares (spin, power, control, precision) plus super comfy. Cyclone is harder to control feels a bit erratic & too flexy & heavier than Tourbite. I string my own and have tried many strings. natural Gut, Multi's like Head velocity MLt are pretty good but a little erratic and break within a set. last Velocity MLT setup I blew out 6 strings on a forehand 2nd set of playing so went to Poly/ Syn or gut Hybrids which works well for me but prefer stiff poly for the hybrid setup & don't like full beds of poly
Volkl Cyclone for spin users Razor Code for people that want ball pocketing But in all honesty for ME, I would go the Yonex Poly Tour Pro. It has both qualities 😍
how about some mayami strings. could you please do a review. searching for my string of choice found these pretty good priced stings but no reviews online. would love to hear your opinion
I actually messed around with Gosen Polylon a few years ago. The Volkl Cyclone outshines the Gosen Polylon in every category except two: Gosen Polylon is probably a better hybrid string because it is not shaped Gosen Polylon is cheaper 😁
@@MarkSansait Thank you so much for the prompt response! Would you say ISOSPEED Baseline Control/Speed/Spin/LongLife better budget string than Gosen Polylon? If it is, which one would play the most similar to Polylon?

@@MarkSansait I know two players, they are both close to UTR10. One hits with the Blast and the other with the HyperG. They haven't complained with the Blast.
Decent string at a competitive price. Tension maintenance is not great, though, as it bags out so much after 6 hours of play that shots become uncontrollable.
