This an Magneride are usually the two options people overlook the most! Almost time for that pony to come out of storage
@@CarsWithSteve magnitude would have been a nice option, but since I don’t foresee me ever tracking the car, it would have been lost on me. I went for the 401a package instead.
We got some snow yesterday so things have gotten pushed back at least another week!
@@mat13174 The 401 was definitely a smarter upgrade for you there. We got dumped on a bit up here as well, I saw some bikes out the day before we got it though.. just around the corner!
@@CarsWithSteve exactly. I went more for a comfort/“touring” vibe, opting mainly for comfort/convenience features for my build.
Going to be 70 by the end of the week, but since they dumped more salt on the roads it may be a week or two before I can get back out there.

Love the exhaust mode except when I’m pulling up next to a cop. I have it on my manual transmission gt.
Haha so true! I've seen a few videos of people in a Hyundai Elantra N get tickets in Cali for the noise so I could only imagine what people could run into with Sport or Track mode in this
@CarsWithSteve That's California. They suck, and them reffing stock cars is going to eventually blow up in their faces with a lawsuit. They don't count. I have active on mine, and cops just give me a thumbs up or ask what year, what type of exhaust I put on it,, etc etc
It looks like the engine was up to operating temperature, once it is and the mixture changes does it sound any different?
Yes, wouldn't have revved the engine cold! It's a bit louder for the first 15 - 20 seconds after startup if you have it in the normal, sport or track mode

Yes, this is the factory active valve exhaust, nothing has been done aftermarket!
Which mode is the loudest? Sport or Tracking?
Track mode for sure, it opens things up fully. You gave me a good idea for how to shoot the active valve on the 2023 model!

Hey man, do you know if the active exhaust options are only available on mustangs with an automatic transmission? My 2022 GT doesn’t have it and I’m thinking it may be because it has a manual transmission.
Hey Richard! The active valve is available across the whole vehicle lineup, regardless of whether it's manual or automatic. You do need to have it added in from the factory though.. there isn't a solid aftermarket solution for it yet
My 22 HPP ecoboost 6 speed has it.
So if I get this option and change my exhaust to borla atak, will it mess it up?

Do you need to have the drive modes for an active exhaust? Or could I get a mustang with no drive modes with an active exhaust?
Comes together as part of the Active Valve Exhaust system. There are some aftermarket that have kind of similar functions though
@@CarsWithSteveThe aftermarket ones have identical functioning. The factory electronics hook up to the kit, and everything remains the same, aside from the exhaust getting even louder lol

No way to install an aftermarket factory equivalent unfortunately

Nope.. optional on both the GT and EcoBoost
Corsa extremes still sound better than any other exhaust I've heard on the coyote 5.0s. I got more compliments on my 2017 than any other setup I've had. I guess this would do until I could save up $2500 to get the corsa extreme active valve exhaust
Just checked out some videos on the Corsa.. sounds good online so I can only imagine how it sounds in person
Corsa extremes are a bit too raspy in the top end for my taste. I actually love the deeper rumble the stock active has ! That's just my preference though :) always been a sucker for the bassy lower tones of the coyote.
