Please check out the new bolt action ar15 by bear creek arsenal its brand new with zero reviews on it .. I think it's claim to fame will be when they release a 5.56 or 223 wylde version so people in restricted states can shoot 5.56 out of an AR again.
You can’t get rid of that .243 Weatherby with that gorgeous wooden stock!! 😢 I understand it’s not threaded so you can’t get the shoosher on there but still…it’s glorious
Love the .243 my kids have taken elk, deer and big horn sheep with it. I wish I could find some guns laying around I forgot about. Cool video and glad you found your camera!!😅
Tap on that box! If they can’t stand that I’m skeptical of them for sure. That’s what’s wrong with the world today, everyone feels the need to be accommodated.
A few years ago, I went into a gun shop. They had an insane price on a nice pistol. I hadn't intended to purchase a gun, but it was such a deal that I bought it. I had to go somewhere with the family and after I got done with the paperwork, I was running late. I got home, threw the new pistol in the safe and took off. Life got pretty busy right after that. About 2 years later, I was moving stuff around in my safe and picked out up. Had no clue where it came from. Took a while to remember buying it
Forgetting a new rifle? You get happy all over again! Nice. The 243 is a Texas Hill country popular deer cartridge for sure. It also makes a fine varmint cartridge as well with the smaller weight bullets. The cartridge is not new, not too flashy, but effective. I have a 6mm Rem, about the same thing. Looking forward to some testing videos and very small groups!!
The 243 has become a very comfortable biz bang for this 65-year-old deer and hog chaser. Recently added a new Howa 1500 Super Deluxe Walnut chambered in 243 to my collection.
Here's a scope idea out of left field for you. I don't think you like Chinese glass, but the CVLIFE BearPower 5-25x50 would probably be less than $200 shipped to you. I've got one on the way to try. It's first focal plane, mil-dot, Zero turrets, parallax adjustable, comes with Pic rings and illuminated reticle. Pretty well everything you want for a long distance boollot slinger, at a price point that's hard to walk past. Ron Spomer looked at a much cheaper CVLive scope and he didn't have a bad thing to say about it, so I'm pretty keen on giving this one a try. Unless you get super good deals from Arken/Blackhound and it would upset them etc. Even so, I think people need you to try some of this stuff that seems to be getting really quite good.
I have one on my 17hmr. 4.5x14x40. I love it! It’s real quality stuff not saying you can’t get a bad one but this one impressed me. I’m thinking about upgrading my scope on my 270 and I’ll be trying one on it.
I really like the 243!! I have a old Savage 110 that has killed a lot of groundhogs and I have a Winchester model 88 243 that I ran across several years ago and I just had to have it. I really like the lever guns!!
1000yds is always a fun time. Stopped into Silencer Central last week to get another can and of course I had to ask if the lady met you while you up this way. She said you're a great dude!
i have hunted 35 yrs wth 243 rem 7400 only 1 walked out of it tracks out to 235 yards the 1 that walked was 15/20 yards blew rght through love your videos and info keep it up young man whoty who
The hardest working man in RUclips show biz, so forgetting things you bought happens. I am glad you found this 243 Win. The Compact version would be great for your kids. You already know that I want a left handed 308 Win in one of those Axis 2 Pros. Especially since I have that Rossi R95 in 360 Buckhammer on order.
Yes!!!! 1st axis pro and your the only one to really cover it brother. Vortex and a bunch of other guys have done top 10 reviews this year and nobody has reviewed the new pro except you.. so thanks for that. Second yes in handloads with CFE 223 by hodgdon is the money maker for varmint bullets. CFE 223 powder meters exceptionally well is very consistent and blistering fast in a 243. With that nice compact lightweight package will not use another rifle for coyotes.. and I second the motion for Arken optics brother lol. Of course why would we put anything else on it there amazing.....
I saw and older show about the 6.5 creedmoor, I started hunting with this round savage axis 1st gen, still my go to hunting rifle, I haven't lost a deer while using this gun even when I have made a marginal shot. Use federal 140 gr basic soft point blue box works overtime, give this round a try, Thanks Terry
The original issue with the lovely little 243W was the slow twist barrels back in the day which meant that heavier bullets didn't work. I would assume that that the modern Savage has a tighter twist which will enable you to utilise the high BC modern 6mm projectiles.... look forward to seeing what it can do... 🙂
Well you found your camera & a gun in my caliber. Can't wait for the range video. You can ship the Weatherby to MI. when ever your ready. Just label it a donation, it will help with your taxes 😂.
I bought one for my boy in 308 and I’m thinking I might go back and get the 243. Picked up a 6.5 Grendel in the ruger American 2 ranch rifle and it’s a deer killer!
Man I typed this big old thing and it freaking disappeared.... Any who yeah you're the only one giving the new axis pro a good review. Vortex optics did a top 10 this year and didn't even include it and use the old outgoing rifle I was so frustrated. Jim varner did a top 10 budget rifle and did the same thing and didn't even include it and it's been out for over 6 months.. how are these mainstream guys under a rock lol. That's why I follow you brother cuz every day we're on the pulse.. I talked to gun guys and they have no idea how out of date they are I swear watching your brother your channel we are on the pulse with everything that comes out. So fun.. and yes throw an arken on that baby. Load with cfe223 blistering fast
Recently traded a guy for a new DPMS AR10 in 308, with a 24 inch stainless fluted bull barrel. Bought optics & mounts and went home and realized I’d grabbed the wrong mounts. 😂 As soon as I get the correct mounts, I can’t wait to get to the range and get it sighted in. Should be a tack driver with the barrel it has. Definitely heavy
That's exactly what I've been eyeing every time I go to the store. Your Africa hunt, along with the groupings video, sold me. It should be here for Christmas. 😊
Adam, if you're even CONSIDERING getting rid of that Wby .243 so that you can keep a Savage... come on man. You have raved and raved about that Vanguard, and shown numerous times just how well it shoots. I think you're just being a prisoner of the moment because you have this new, shiny toy in your hands. That Wby seems to elicit a special response from you, some guns are just like that. All things being equal, the Savage has to go because it's way more of a "dime-a-dozen" type of gun. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work.
I was gifted same rifle in .308 by an old buddy and was happy to get 1/2 to 3/4 5 round groups @100 yards 😊 went to sc and dropped a 8 point 1shot @110 yards 😅😅😅
Go ahead and sale the Weatherby. The savage will out preform. Savage guns is like a Sunday eve date. Shes not the prettiest, but you can rely on her. 243 imo is just a great round. From 75grn to 100s they are just wicked. I currently have a Styer 243 that clover leafs just about any ammo except fed fusion.
Great video content. You always make these interesting ! What is the twist in that .243 savage ? I have a 1in 10. , A 1 in 8 would make a big difference in kicking up the bullet weight and BC’s.
Don’t listen to Karen’s telling you what to do in your videos man, the problem with our country today is placating to every single persons “problems” . If tapping on cardboard is a problem with you, you need help.
I bought a Savage access to in 25 ought 6 and forgot where I bought it at until I realized I bought it at a local pawn shop felt a little foolish forgetting that I had bought it so I know your pain
If you find my big heavy knit wool gloves, lemme know. Found these big suckers at CVS of all places a couple winters ago and I lost them 2 weeks ago. Man, arthritic hands need warmth. Shoudla bought more then one pair.
Wonder how it compares to the Ruger American Gen 2. Seems they’re about the same price range. I hear a lot of good things in the Ruger, so don’t hear much about Savage.

Is it just the camera or is the trigger blade on the 6.5 gold? I have one in 308 and it likes 150 grain anything. It does not like the 178 eldx ammo at all.
I've more than once found a tin of 7.62x54r or a bundle of 1000 rounds of .223 but I have never found a gun I forgot I had. Or maybe I just haven't found it yet?? 😅😅😅
What happened to the CZ 600 that shot so good, based on that video I went and bought one, and it shot just as good as his, just wondering if he still has it, what a great problem to have, so many guns you forget you have one.
Hey how is it going? I have a question! I got a bergara b14 hunter in 6.5 CM top off with a Leupold. I'm having problems finding ammo that it likes. the best group I have got so far is an inch and a half. That's me using Hornady eld-x & sst / core locks / Federal power shocks. what would u recommend or anybody that would have any info on that setup?
big discounts w code: whoteewho

Dude, you're one of the RUclips hunters that I'd genuinely want to hunt with. Appreciate you and the genuine style you have.
Appreciate you watching. 🦌🦌🦌
Good of a man I’ve ever met, kind of guy you like to have as a friend. Hope you hunt with him one day. Wish you and yours the best from me and mine.
Our guy needs a nap.....he losing cameras, bing bangs....and his mind 😂😂😂
I agree

Very true!!!!!
Agreed

Been there
That is how I now have 5 1911's.
been there ,done that
Tell us which pistol & caliber or it didn't happen. lol "Insane price" hints that it's a nice one.
Forgetting a new rifle? You get happy all over again! Nice. The 243 is a Texas Hill country popular deer cartridge for sure. Hey mate i have been using a 243 for year's on red deer, chital, whitetail, fellow Great cartridge i better mention i am down in Australia/New Zealand
any bing bang that groups consitently well is a good barrel and a keeper

I have one on my 17hmr. 4.5x14x40. I love it! It’s real quality stuff not saying you can’t get a bad one but this one impressed me. I’m thinking about upgrading my scope on my 270 and I’ll be trying one on it.
I really like the 243!! I have a old Savage 110 that has killed a lot of groundhogs and I have a Winchester model 88 243 that I ran across several years ago and I just had to have it. I really like the lever guns!!
Nice gun. Looks like Savage is Giving the Ruger Americans some competition.
Thanks for finding that long lost Bing Bang Adam 👌.
Cheers 🙏✝️🇨🇦
Big fan here from Ireland..... some great sika hunting here.
Look forward to hearing the irish podcast. Keep up the good work.
The stock on that looks pretty nice- I like the contour and the camo. Savage doing what Ruger is doing making their budget rifles better
1000yds is always a fun time. Stopped into Silencer Central last week to get another can and of course I had to ask if the lady met you while you up this way. She said you're a great dude!
Awesome! Everyone I met there was great people

Awesome!!! I have the same one on layaway in 243 can't wait to see your range day!
I have the 25-06 in this gun . It shoots as good as any rifle I've ever owned .
The .243 is one of the absolute most accurate rifle caliber I've ever seen! 🎯
See what you got to look forward to when you get older 😂 misplacing things and them being right under my nose is a normal occurrence around here ..
Yep, and it's worse when you get up and move to a different state...🤣 Like me
Forgot you got it. I’ve been known to shop in my own gunsafe and find awesome things I’ve never seen before. 😂
That's how us old guys get our daily exercise , wandering around looking for stuff we put in a safe place. 😂🇦🇺
I feel ya brother
Oooh, 243. One of my favorites, right behind a 270
I'm looking into a 243..looking forward to that video..keep up the great work
You had a "senior moment."
I'm thinking about buying a 308 in a few days
I would
30-06 is a little more versatile but both rock!
@ 100%
Great deer caliber!
Wanting to get one of these in 270 😊

243 will always have a place in my heart
I REALLY want to hunt Africa. Really! Just mounted an SH4J gen 2 on a .308 Rem 700. Looking forward to playing with that rig. Thanks!!
That is a sweet setup
I have 2 243s. Both of them are browning x bolts. A hells canyon speed and a stainless stalker. They both shoot extremely well.
Very nice
That looks like the same barreled action as the Axis 2 Precision. I have one of those in 6.5cm and it is 🔥
I saw and older show about the 6.5 creedmoor, I started hunting with this round savage axis 1st gen, still my go to hunting rifle, I haven't lost a deer while using this gun even when I have made a marginal shot. I need to find something for the new alternative hunting season here in Arkansas. Been eying a bunch of straight wall cartridge rifles. Great video
Well you found your camera & a gun in my caliber. Can't wait for the range video. You can ship the Weatherby to MI. when ever your ready. Just label it a donation, it will help with your taxes 😂.
My buddy just got one in 308 n it’s a shooter!!! Seems to like Remington core loks n it’ll shoot under 3/4” @ 100 yards
Awesome
Nice ! I haven't forgot i have a slinger but I don't get much time to get out to use em ...
I bought one for my boy in 308 and I’m thinking I might go back and get the 243. Picked up a 6.5 Grendel in the ruger American 2 ranch rifle and it’s a deer killer!
Might have to pick up one of those WTW hats for Christmas
Awesome rifle i still have an Axis 1 in 308 . A $15 trigger spring fixes the stiff trigger and your set.
Man I typed this big old thing and it freaking disappeared.... Any who yeah you're the only one giving the new axis pro a good review. .243 was my first deer rifle as a kid. Still doing the job today
That's exactly what I've been eyeing every time I go to the store. Your Africa hunt, along with the groupings video, sold me. It should be here for Christmas. 😊
It would be interesting to see that rifle paired with an Arken LH-4 4-16x44.
Would be a great scope for it
Tap on the box! It is not an obnoxious noise.
I live in Washington, but I am thinking about moving to America so I can buy some guns 😂
Adam, if you're even CONSIDERING getting rid of that Wby .243 so that you can keep a Savage... come on man. I hear ya. But safe queens don't pay my bills
Check out the Tikka T3X GR-Tech (Super Varmint) rifles. They have 243's with 1in8 twist in some of the rifles.
Keep that gorgeous Weatherby! Getting it rechambered to 240 Weatherby Magnum would be cool too
I have a GoPro on my crossbow like that, it gets cold, or sd card doesn’t work, it kinda sucks, even with the white and black cold weather batteries!
Thanks! You're doing an awesome job!
Appreciate you watching bigtime!
I was gifted same rifle in .308 by an old buddy and was happy to get 1/2 to 3/4 5 round groups @100 yards 😊 went to sc and dropped a 8 point 1shot @110 yards 😅😅😅
WTW, KEEP the Weatherby. You will regret trading it.
Stretch it out.. I've not tried a 243 more 300yds... 👍WTW
Stay tuned
Tap on the damn box. It's satisfying for some of us and it irritates exactly one person.
Nice looking fusil WTW!
Go ahead and sale the Weatherby. The savage will out preform. Savage guns is like a Sunday eve date. Shes not the prettiest, but you can rely on her. 243 imo is just a great round. Cool never found a rifle that I had bought. Did find a bunch of 5.56 bing bangs that were hid under my work table one time.
Great video content. You always make these interesting !
What is the twist in that .243 savage ? I have a 1in 10. , A
1 in 8 would make a big difference in kicking up the bullet weight and BC’s.
Twist is 1:9.25
I hope you don't get rid of the .243 Weatherby!! I love that one!!! 😩😩😩
Don’t listen to Karen’s telling you what to do in your videos man, the problem with our country today is placating to every single persons “problems” . If tapping on cardboard is a problem with you, you need help.
Since they don’t like tapping on cardboard…see if nails scraped down cardboard sounds better 🤷♂️ can’t wait for your video series on this one!
I wish I had that problem! Forgetting about guns I’ve bought! LMAOF!
Good looking Bing Bang
👀👀👀
I like 243. I just bought a browning bar MK three in axis camel.
Very nice
I bought a Savage access to in 25 ought 6 and forgot where I bought it at until I realized I bought it at a local pawn shop felt a little foolish forgetting that I had bought it so I know your pain
243 is a great round. I can't wait to see how it groups .
If you find my big heavy knit wool gloves, lemme know. Found these big suckers at CVS of all places a couple winters ago and I lost them 2 weeks ago. Man, arthritic hands need warmth. Shoudla bought more then one pair.
I’m curious how accurate it turns out to be. I wonder how accurate this same model is in 22-250. Hmmmmm.
I hate the sound of cardboard sliding on another piece of cardboard. But I just suck it up butter cup. Lol great video. Sir
I finally got a henry 360 buckhammer after Christmas going to get me a scope and get er set up ,great video
Sweeeeet
@WHOTEEWHO I think my next ,which will be a while will be a 375 ruger ,big medicine my shoulder hurts already
Wonder how it compares to the Ruger American Gen 2. Seems they’re about the same price range. I hear a lot of good things in the Ruger, so don’t hear much about Savage.
Hope you are taking the boys out hunting!👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
We will be soon!
You're doing a great job on these reviews 👏 👍
I appreciate that!
Hey whoteewho, I saw yesterday that bear creek arsenal is now selling bolt action ar uppers. I can't speak for their uppers but I have heard both good and bat things about them. They currently have a 350 legend and a 450 bushmaster upper.
I saw that
If you had to choose 1 caliber for everything what would it be ? From the woods out east to long shots out west
30-06
That Savage Pro is a great deer hole puncher ,and it looks good. Do you prefer them over the Ruger American II or because Savage has more different models thus more content? Just curious. Thinking of selling my Ruger Scout rifle that's a lefty and heavy with scope,bipod,10 rd. Mag and sling. Shoots amazing but fells like I've been to the gym . Thanks!!
I prefer Savage
THANK FOR YOUR CHANNEL! HOW ABOUT A SAVAGE 20 ga BOLT ACTION TEST WITH REMINGTON ACCU-TIP SLUGS?! POSSIBLY LONG RANGE?! THANK YOU!
Great idea!
Been hunting dough my whole life. Still in this darn trailer though. 😋
IMO sacrificing the Wby could be just a reminder that change is inevitable and we can't keep 'em all.
Go ahead and tap on the box. It makes me feel good.
Ive been waiting for the pros to make it up here in the northwest. So far just the axis xps
Got a new in box 243 savage I bought yrs ago and have never fired it.
Better get to it
Is it just the camera or is the trigger blade on the 6.5 gold? I have one in 308 and it likes 150 grain anything. It does not like the 178 eldx ammo at all.
Yes it is gold. Can't get that in it.....I put mine together at the factory and they gave me a gold trigger
I have five 243s; just gave a Ruger 77 RSI in 243 to my grandson for his deer rifle.
I wish I had the problem that I had so many bing bangs that I forgot I bought one!😁
Hey, who tee who, great video. My buddy's getting his first rifle. It's a savage 270. Do you still have the ol 300RUM.
Nice. Yes I still have it
I've more than once found a tin of 7.62x54r or a bundle of 1000 rounds of
.223 but I have never found a gun I forgot I had.
Or maybe I just haven't found it yet?? 😅😅😅
What happened to the CZ 600 that shot so good, based on that video I went and bought one, and it shot just as good as his, just wondering if he still has it, what a great problem to have, so many guns you forget you have one.
That was borrowed from cva. Had to send it back
Yeah, "I forgot I brought this" doesn't work with my wife lol
You ever get a savage elite precision?
Not yet
What is there in Ireland? Red stag?
And sika and fallow
I love 243 very good beginner gun for grandchildren.
And old men Like myself
The 243 is my absolute favorite round
Hey how is it going? I have a question! I got a bergara b14 hunter in 6.5 CM top off with a Leupold. I'm having problems finding ammo that it likes. the best group I have got so far is an inch and a half. That's me using Hornady eld-x & sst / core locks / Federal power shocks. what would u recommend or anybody that would have any info on that setup?
Well, at least your room finally got cleaned
Try the Great Lakes Firearms GL10 in 300 win mag or 7mm rem mag
Good stuff WTW! 🦌👍🏻
👍👍🦌🦌🦌
