    Forgetting a new rifle? You get happy all over again! Nice. The 243 is a Texas Hill country popular deer cartridge for sure. It also makes a fine varmint cartridge as well with the smaller weight bullets. The cartridge is not new, not too flashy, but effective. I have a 6mm Rem, about the same thing. Looking forward to some testing videos and very small groups!!

    A few years ago, I went into a gun shop. They had an insane price on a nice pistol. I hadn't intended to purchase a gun, but it was such a deal that I bought it. I had to go somewhere with the family and after I got done with the paperwork, I was running late. I got home, threw the new pistol in the safe and took off. Life got pretty busy right after that. About 2 years later, I was moving stuff around in my safe and picked out up. Had no clue where it came from. Took a while to remember buying it

    Yes!!!! 1st axis pro and your the only one to really cover it brother. Vortex and a bunch of other guys have done top 10 reviews this year and nobody has reviewed the new pro except you.. so thanks for that. Second yes in handloads with CFE 223 by hodgdon is the money maker for varmint bullets. CFE 223 powder meters exceptionally well is very consistent and blistering fast in a 243. With that nice compact lightweight package will not use another rifle for coyotes.. and I second the motion for Arken optics brother lol. Of course why would we put anything else on it there amazing.....

  • @KathrynLiz1
    @KathrynLiz1 Месяц назад +2

    The original issue with the lovely little 243W was the slow twist barrels back in the day which meant that heavier bullets didn't work. I would assume that that the modern Savage has a tighter twist which will enable you to utilise the high BC modern 6mm projectiles.... look forward to seeing what it can do... 🙂

    Adam, if you're even CONSIDERING getting rid of that Wby .243 so that you can keep a Savage... come on man. You have raved and raved about that Vanguard, and shown numerous times just how well it shoots. I think you're just being a prisoner of the moment because you have this new, shiny toy in your hands. That Wby seems to elicit a special response from you, some guns are just like that. All things being equal, the Savage has to go because it's way more of a "dime-a-dozen" type of gun. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work.

    What happened to the CZ 600 that shot so good, based on that video I went and bought one, and it shot just as good as his, just wondering if he still has it, what a great problem to have, so many guns you forget you have one.

    You forgot you bought this, this is what happens when you buy too many bing bangs.

    Here's a scope idea out of left field for you. I don't think you like Chinese glass, but the CVLIFE BearPower 5-25x50 would probably be less than $200 shipped to you. I've got one on the way to try. It's first focal plane, mil-dot, Zero turrets, parallax adjustable, comes with Pic rings and illuminated reticle. Pretty well everything you want for a long distance boollot slinger, at a price point that's hard to walk past. Ron Spomer looked at a much cheaper CVLive scope and he didn't have a bad thing to say about it, so I'm pretty keen on giving this one a try.
    Unless you get super good deals from Arken/Blackhound and it would upset them etc. Even so, I think people need you to try some of this stuff that seems to be getting really quite good.

      I have one on my 17hmr. 4.5x14x40. I love it! It’s real quality stuff not saying you can’t get a bad one but this one impressed me. I’m thinking about upgrading my scope on my 270 and I’ll be trying one on it.

    Is it just the camera or is the trigger blade on the 6.5 gold? I have one in 308 and it likes 150 grain anything. It does not like the 178 eldx ammo at all.
