You're right. His critique is verbose, confusing and unhelpful. His casting skills are beyond question but he needs some lessons in how to teach.
He is 90 they were still hitting people in school when he came up. And when you get that age, well if it is near the end for you, you often get a little short with people because you are basically confused.
The modern generation has the incredible luxury of free information just the way they want it. Though why they would be interested in a sport where the fish resists their entreaties and fights them at every turn, who know. Or why they should feel entitled to beat up on fish when they find a curt presentation so unbearable.
