I noticed that Tatsu was closed on July 2nd when I went to the 4th of July festival so thank you for explaining why it was down. Do you know any details about the refurbishment since you work close to it? Taking several months to refurbish a ride sounds like they are doing a lot to it. Is there anything else you know? New Paint job? Third train coming back? Deep cleaned station? Smoother ride? I'm glad that you are back to making update videos. I would totally visit roaring rapids again, but Hurricane harbor is filling my need for water as of now :)
Yea, the refurbishment is to work on some electronic work for the ride, so maybe smoother in those cases? I can’t say too much bc I don’t wanna get in trouble lol. @@MaadParkUpdates Thanks for that info since I love riding Tatsu everytime I go. I hope the wait will be worth it for whatever is being done. I really enjoy your raptor updates, but there is something bigger that I can't find any info on. X2 has been running without audio since 2019 I believe and the third train is GONE. I really missed the soundtrack it had and assume that they had to shut down the audio either because it was not working or the audio wasn't syncing up due to the train being gone. They sped up the lift hill to increase throughput so I have little hope that the audio will ever come back. The third train isn't on the maintenance track so it is gone gone. I was wondering if you knew anything about it since you worked there or if you could ask someone. I would really like to imagine that six flags is ordering a new train for the ride to bring back the audio, but I have little hope for that and I imagine that it is being used for parts. If you can't disclose any of that I understand, but it has been bugging me for months. I am not sure if they keep spare parts in the rooms under the station so please let me know. My favorite day to go is the Thursday after Labor Day. I went to the Park on this day in 2018/2019 - small crowd, walk-on every ride, all day long. From what I gather, Tatsu will still be closed on this day this year, but all other rides "should" be open.
