I’m a certified permanent makeup artist.
This man needed to have added orange to the color because of her skin tone. Otherwise, it won’t pop. The other thing was, you DO NOT put the secondary numbing agent in the ink. You tattoo first, and then put the numbing agent on top of the lips.
He fixed some of her pigmentation.
However, sometimes you add pigment to peoples lips and it doesn’t show until it heals. That’s what he was explaining.
Also, it’s not like he chose the color for her. She chooses the color and discusses what she wants before the procedure.
Okay so what would you have recommended so that the color would look more prominent on her?

I got permanent lip tatto, and its my worst decision ever. I got hyperpigmentation, so my lips got ever darker after. The lady said it would work, but ofc they do... waste of money honestly. Laser treatment would probs be much better.

did she neutralize them first, you have to neutralize darker pigments first before adding ideal color at touch up

I habe watched every video,. Learned all techniques and even have done real tattoos but perm make up flake's off of me in a few days. I learned from actual tattoo and make up videos. Im really trying to keep eyeliner but even blushing, ive scratched skin and went the depth bleed a little too but either way, in 2 days, its completely gone. I do have some weird skin issues so is my skin not retaining ink anymore? It's at the point it cant be much else
My lips are two different colors too. Top Lip is dark and lower lip is light. I definitely love my lips. wouldn't change as it is very unique. What's the point of the tattoo lip color to Just to stay in one color. There are so many colors of lipstick to choose from. Life too short. Just change up your colors. I will stick with my burgundy, wine, black, dark blue or purple lipstick and my natural lip color.

I got five layers done on me because my lips were Level 2 dark. NO NUMBING and honestly I would rate the pain equal to getting a brazillian wax. Because my lips were dark they had cover up the dark areas first.

No he probably gave her the balm to keep afterwards. Each person gets their own. Different but similar- my body piercer would always give me the marker to keep after she made the little dot where I would be pierced. No good way to sterilize that marker

Artist usually recommend against that due to the difference in the skin between the lips and usual face skin. So the results won’t be as nice.
