I just started Throne of Glass after finishing the entire ACOTAR series
Fourth Wing i can understand the appeal it just had a few moments of reading very tween then going hardcore 50 shades type which is not for me. Not dissing on anyone opinions or material that's personal preference. I only read the one. Def going to check other suggestions. loving throne of glass series im waiting for it on audible.

Tati have u tried Scott Barnes trick with the aquaphor balm under the eyes before putting on concealer? I tried it for a wedding to make everything stay and not crease and wow it worked great plus I used ur rec on the loreal foundation. Did not budge ❤❤. So happy ur back home and happy. 🤗

100% with you on the characters names! I was also shocked about how much I liked this series! It got me back into reading after so long. Difficult to find a book that compares! If you want something less romantic and more fantasy, her Throne of Glass series is so good!

I would say as fun as LA and the whole “professional” side of it is, you really were hoping to do something with the Tati List, and with your hands in so many things, I feel like the Tati List is starting to become an afterthought. Maybe the Tati List is your avenue to find a happy medium between the “professional” and more laidback, casual style and authenticity we get with that. I really want to see big things happen there, because I feel like it could really be something. Kind of like building your own community your way without having to rely on third party media (tik tok, RUclips, etc.). Kind of like how Fixer Upper started as a show on HGTV and now they have built this massive empire. You could absolutely be the next Joanna Gaines. Makeup and beauty and wellness are all important to you, but I feel like your lifestyle speaks to so many and there is so much more there of which you have barely scratched the surface. You have invested so much and I can’t wait to see you reach new heights!
I say this with love so please don’t take it wrong… I just want you to consider that her passion projects can be really important to her and life can also get in the way. Not everything everyone does has to be 100%, or live up to certain expectations, or be all or nothing. Perhaps she is giving as much as she can to the Tati List right now, even if it’s not “much” or “enough”. She may be in a place to give it more soon, or maybe not. All of our lives ebb and flow. I know as a mom but also a wife, a homesteader, and an individual with other interests, there are seasons of life where I can only give so much to my passion projects, but have to give much more to my responsibilities or other obligations. That doesn’t mean I completely give up on things that fulfill me (because sometimes we really need those things we can retreat to that give us some joy and recenter us), it just means I give a little less - for now. I have to give myself grace for not being able to give it my all no matter how much I want to. I’m sure she feels the same way.

Variety of Contant. Although I do miss the zoom in up close personal application process. I mean I’m 48 but it’s always interesting to see how people do things differently. How people make up is evolving as they get older. I’ve heard it on your channel many times that you basically have to relearn your face as you get older , and I know this is your platform and this is what you do but know that it truly does come across as relatable. There are no rules there are no boundaries we have to do what makes us happy and who gives an F what everybody else says. I love that about you. It’s just very refreshing but if you think about it from time to time, maybe do a close-up zoom in because I’d love to see how you really do the brow like really in depth! PS I found a gray brow hair and I’ve convinced myself if it was just blonde lol

Hairstylist that works with k18 educators a good bit. The k18 dry shampoo is amazing, but the best way to not get the white cast with it, is to almost immediately shake it out. Make sure you shake it well, and also hold it further away when you spray it. I actually spray it shake it out slightly, then blow it out!

Shadow and bones, the selection, the cruel prince, fourth wing, discovery of witches, the passage, beautiful creatures, lightlark, the black witch, Witches of East End, Dark Inside, the 100, The Pain Colony, the fifth wave, angel fall, recruitment, crescent city, city of gods and monsters, from blood and ash. these are all the first books of my favourite series. I definitely recommend reading SJMs other series. I read the Throne of Glass series last year and it's probably my favorite series by Sarah J. Maas but I do enjoy her other ones as well. I also recommend Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. There are 2 books out now with a 3rd coming early 2025. The worst thing about reading Fantasy is how authors makeup some of the hardest names to pronounce.
It took me way too long to figure out that Sgaeyl is "scale". 😂

Yes Tati with the ACOTAR!!! Def agree with others and read Fourth Wing next, definitely very digestible (though the 2nd book is not as good). LOVE Crescent City 1&2, lots of world-building to get through but totally worth it (the 3rd one is again, not very good)! Throne of Glass series is next on my list cause everyone is raving about it!

Girl I'll be real with you I don't know if I've ever fallen in love with characters more than ACOTAR. Still chasing that high. However you might enjoy the Throne of Glass series from the same author. Another one of my absolute faves 💗

There are no coincidences.. These cardinals thing is an example of synchronicity - the universe is guiding you on your right path, showing you it is okay. So I think it is a sign that you are exactly where you belong. I love seeing this calm person that you are, when you are in Texas ❤❤❤

Throne of glass is more fantasy than romance but pulls on the heart strings.
Crescent city & ACOTAR aren’t finished but TOG is. I read all of the SJM books in 2 months, obsessed for sure lol
crescent city MC was so annoying though... and the latest book was rather disappointing...
haven't read tog, but the MC also sounds like a Mary Sue...
@@RainCraver the main character in TOG definitely has those vibes but she does experience growth. TOG was SJMs first series and I think she started writing it at like 14 or something like that. The first couple books are meh if I’m being honest, but by empire of storms I was invested.
I didn’t find CCs FMC to be annoying, but I can see how people felt that way. The vibes in that series were so different from the other two. So much world building, and as someone who doesn’t “watch the books like movies” in their brain it was cool to have the help to picture it.

i think the main problem for me was that it's urban fantasy... i found it very hard to take seriously a 75 year old fae Ruhn who acts like an emo kid and is mad at daddy and some 200yo Hunt to acts like a frat boy 😂
loved the world building, but the modern setting was too YA for me I think 🤔
and the last book... felt a bit like a filler? like in part it prompted the next acotar book but then I felt like we didn't spend a lot of time there... and then when we get back not a lot happened, I think I'm already forgetting half the book 😂
but yeah, to each their own. we all get to enjoy different books and not all of them are going to be everyone's cup of tea 😁

Hey Tati! Watched your videos for years. So much so I still have Sigma and Morphe brushes from 10 years ago that you've recommended. Top tip on dry shampoo, spray it in and let it sit specially if you get the white streaks after 10/15mins it’ll disappear and then you just rub it in and you’ll get WAAAY more out of it and won’t need to keep spraying

In the manicure… I recently discovered ORLY Breathable polishes and no joke, when I paint my nails with it, it lasts a week before it starts chipping. And this is without doing a base or top coat… it truly is one-step polish. And I’m no self-manicure expert… I usually give up on nail polish because it would wear off in 2 days. I’ve used several other big name polish brands and tried gel topcoats and this Orly polish beats them all. And I’m not precious with my nails either… I’m rather rough on them actually!
You'd be surprised - Clotho is a real name. She's the youngest aspect of Fate in Greek mythology. I'm not sure what she is in ACOTAR as i put it down and never finished it (unpopular opinion i know).
If you're looking for reading recs - id recommend City of Stardust. That one had me so engrossed that i finished it so fast. Also loving me some cozy ghost stories and small scale fantasy currently

So glad you got home safe! There's nothing better then being home after traveling and being away for a while. Isn't it the weirdest thing to think about how LA used to be home and now that you live in Texas and you're back you realize that actually that's your real home? I always feel this way when I travel back to Cali to visit family for the holidays since moving to missouri. I was born and raised in orange county and it's crazy to think that was home for most of my life but now whenever I'm not in missouri I miss it!

I just read Educated by Tara Westover. It is an autobiography that reads like a story. She is one of the most incredible human beings. So inspirational.
Highly recommend reading S.J. Maas’s other series, both are amazing! Throne of Glass is my absolute favorite! Crescent City is fantastic as well!
