Love these stories and the Guard ones are so fun as you see regular humans even well trained ones compared to a single Astartes even though they didn't write the Astartes well. Honestly the well trained troops of known regiments like Cadia, Kreig, Mordian, Tallarn, Elysian drop troops, Harkoni Warhawks and such are better drilled and trained. They just lack all the tech and mobility of the Tau.
@creolekolbytv1252 the Crisis Suits are the only reason the Tau Empire still exists. The Fire Warrior and tanks just are not good enough to out mussel the competition in the Galaxy otherwise.
Just saying, but its not like humans of the Imperium don't eat their own dead. What else do you think corpse-starch and Soylens Viridians are made of? If anything, at least the kroot eat the meat of other species instead of their own.
The Kroot do eat their dead. It was quite some time ago, but i remember reading that the Kroot belive that eating the dead frees their soul. Thus they do not do so out of ill will, but rather as a form of ritual. Like some cannibal tribes used to do in real life.

I always thought it would be more terrifying for the Tau to fight the Imperium the Tau coming to terms that their technological advancements dont really matter the vast scope of mankind the fanatic zeal of the guardsmen the weight of the artillery the mass of tanks then after months of that from the sky the space marines show up and cut through battle suites like so much tissue paper
Can someone elaborate why SM portrayal here is supposed to be off? I'm not really new just never was interested in any space marine stuff so I don't really know why. I would appreciate any elaboration
Firstly the sniper would have heard the hum of the power armour, when the Raven Guard stood behind him. Also a space marine doesn't bleed much, as the blood is clotting almost immediately, so the wounds he had sustained wouldn't nearly been able to take him out. The strength, speed and general combat prowess of the Raven Guard should have been enough to clear out the whole building. Also, a guardsman trying to pull a space marine is an impossible task, given the size and weight of a space marine in power armour. Just a few things, you know.
