Hell, it's 2024 and I still recommend buying it. Even if they don't release a third DLC pack you get tons of stuff to do if you get it today.

It was free for my subscription tier but I had to get the DLCs this game is a love letter to DB and DBZ Fans and the DLCs are very Very fun and more are coming, Infact as of today (16.08.2023) the next dlc drops tomorrow!
I think the dlc's are worth it tbh, and if you're for some reason finding the game hard you can technically buy the power awakens part 1 dlc and get to level 250 with super saiyan's 1, 2, 3 and god and break the game into mecha frieza

You can adjust the speed of the video with youtubes built in settings, just set it slower. if it is too fast.
I just bought it for cheap, played the demo. It's okay, I used to waste a few dollars playing arcade games. The graphics are nice but the camera feels off. Feels like it can use more work and it'd be a lot better. The fighting over and over sucks. For a cheap price and not full price, it's not bad.
I just went ahead and bought the digital version on the switch and the Trunks DLC because they were both on sale and I love dragon ball z

Should You Buy DBZ kaka- - YESSS!! Definitely. Dont even think about it. Just give this game a damn try. I myself only recently played this game like 2 months ago and im totally hooked. Im super addicted to this game to the point I feel like its missing something if I went to bed without playing it. This is by far the best DB game i have ever played. From graphics to story and gameplay and ofcourse combat. This is exactly the combat i wanted. Not Xenoverse not fighterZ. I dont need to explain much. Just see for yourself. This game's combat is a huge upgrade from previous DB games. Well atleast for me i feel this is more towards what i want in the playstyle. The storyline itself has PLENTY of hours to play. It basically covers everything from DBZ anime. plus there's side stories which are sometimes fun to just roam around. And ofcuz there are DLCs to continue even after you finish the original game. And finally the MODS. yes. the mods just made the game more fun and much much more styles to play. But i suggest finishing the main game as it is first. and then play through again using mods. Either ways its totally a fun game. Even after finishing all the stories you can still use the mods to go 1 v 1 battles or replay the story missions with tougher enemy levels.

I haven’t watched this video yet. I BOUGHT IT TWO WEEKS AGO in 2024. 100% recommended if you’re into Dragon ball or free roaming. There’s a lot to do and a lot to focus on. (I ended up buying all the DLC’s on sale. Made it 10x better)

I believe if a person wants to feel the real experience of their favorite series, they should create a fan fiction story. The games are fun for a while but really give the player full imagination, creativity as if you were experiencing the actual adventure. I made a DB, DBZ, and Dragon Ball Super fan fiction story with accurate power level calculations and I did some artwork as well

As you said, DBZ and DBS are awesome and not only that but they're the most profitable. People love them mainly for the fights,ki blast,new forms and explosions.
Another possibility could be due to the og dragon ball's comedy,which was almost equally balanced with the action, mainly with most of the comedy involving perverted characters such as Roshi,Oolong and sometimes Goku(Out of sheer ignorance),yeah they could remove it but it would take away a lot of it's identity. Ik there's a lot of other anime/magna series that do something similar,but dragon ball being from the late 80's was a bit more extreme ,like not many anime protagonist are built like kid Goku who'd take a piss right infront of you.
Maybe Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will have it
because they're playing it safe ofc dbz and super bring in the most fans... most of the fandom are casuals and only like the newer stuff

Playing this in 2024 (platinum) The game is 7/10, but just because of those side quests the rating should be 5/10. You can’t even name a single side quest that was interesting rather than maybe the ghost of yamcha one. Fighting the same 3 robots again and again and they are stronger than frizza army somehow btw !!
They made the game annoying tbh exploring the map wasn’t fun at all just because of them robots and it’s not like if you kill them you can explore peacefully they will respawn with 20 secs again !!

Just wish there wasn't one spammy attack button your secretly feeling like something is off the whole time and that's it one attack button

It's true you have to press a Button for at least 5 times
But you switch it up with literally 3 other buttons and 4 to 8 Button combinations to use your Arsenal
Not necessarily defending here but just play on hard to make use of your brain because spamming won't get you through it
And challenge yourself

If you are 40 fight a lvl 60 with or without healing

Watch the original Dragon Ball Z. Don't watch Dragon Ball Z Kai, with the accessiblity of the episodes now days you can just binge watch DBZ. Before we had to wait for each episode to come on tv each day and seasons to be translated. With streaming platforms and other means you can really enjoy the original!

They really dropped the ball with this game. This could have been in excellent Dragon Ball Z game but there’s a lot of elements that they didn’t put into the game. What time is it to really get you captivated into the game like summer to Spider-Man or God of war when it comes to the action, see RUclipsrs like dm gaming like to make up excuses why the game is not where is post to be like saying it’s not for us it’s only for newcomers that’s been watching the super cause they know nothing about dragon ball Z etc. etc. they know the hard-core Fanbase is going to buy the game they need to please both once again, Bandai has not given fans everything they want other companies can do it like rockstar, insomniac, and others. There’s no excuses for Bandai to drop the ball hopefully when tenkaichi 4 comes out they give us what we want and more.

Snake. away,was a disappointment we didn’t do any training on king, Kai’s planet. Training in the game is a disappointment the one thing they should have did like they do when they Naruto games quit time events, it keeps you engage into the story like other games do you like for example, god of war, Spider-Man
I The Game with very lack luster at times. Overall could have been better.
Another thing is that the game was too easy. It wasn’t even a challenge at all now most RUclipsrs will say this game wasn’t for us. It was for the people that didn’t grow up on Dragon Ball Z but even those people want to challenge he’s a fool you think that people don’t.
Overall, the main game was very boring and it could have been better. I think the trunks DLC was way better than the main game.

But the combat being easy is kind of true, don't get me wrong, but some fights were challenging and the camera made that for me

My cousin loved tenkaichi 3 and is hyped for next one. Me personally i like open world games more so kakorat more my type game but tenkaichi is more simple tho thats also a good thing

Massive missed opportunity. We already have this from Legacy of Goku 2 on GBA like 20 years ago. Get creative on it and capitalise on such a valuable IP yet here we are.
Kai was better because it was closest to the Mangas dialog/writing

Really weird and annoying at the start of each saga there is a cutscene that shows everything that is going to happen.
I really enjoyed what I played of the card game, I normally ignore that stuff
