    5 reasons preorders are best:
    - It guarantees the MSRP
    -Retailers suck at restocking
    -It arrives to you... "Correo"
-You will not pay scalper prices
-You're guaranteeing (almost) the figure in your collection.

This! I've been preordering for the past two years and its taken load off me hoping I find whatever the toy is.

me personally, i completely agree with you on the fun part. i love budgeting and going hunting! mall hopping, planning, scheduling outings just to scout and listing down where ive been to is always going to be my favourite part of the hobby

Exactly! When I do rarely find something in the wild it's a real treat!

I like going out hunting because the paint applications are botched on Transformers figures so often that I have to actually go out and find the figures to check the quality of the paint and the plastic myself.

@@dkkanofkash8798 I would love to do that! I just can't find them out there on the shelves in the UK

Yeah it sucks. But imma do it😂 I've missed out on too much. Now if I want it, I'm pre-ordering it. I pre-ordered SS86 Swoop. It "sold out" in minutes. I literally waited over A YEAR to get Snarl. Unfortunately this is the world we live in and the game you have to play.

If you don't pre-order then some do become extremely hard to get. The small mom n pops toy shop I use doesn't stock transformers but orders me everything he can and I have most figures from kingdom onwards. The comic exclusive shockwave, Grimlock and the next comic book figure (name has slipped me now) are exclusive to Hasbro and can't order anywhere else so those get pre ordered aswell

i do preorder but mostly from trusted collector online stores in my country. They are run by collectors who are part of the collector community. Outside of those places availability of those toys sucks in my country so I want to contribute to them staying afloat.

I just pre-ordered the Knight Rider crossover.
I can't really afford it right now but Amazon doesn't charge you until they ship, so I had a few months to let my finances restore.
Unfortunately, they charged me right away. I guess there's no delay in pre-orders. I thought about canceling the order but I really want it.
I'm not one to float the credit balance but oh well this time.

It would be nice to know when things are expected to actually be for sale. just so I know when to expect Swoop for example. With a date to look forward to the excitement can be there, like with album or movie releases in the past. and You know when to be checking in on the shop if it's been 2 weeks with no delivery.

"It's the company's job to make sure there is enough of an item readily available for people to buy once it's released." (3:30)
Sorry , but you are wrong about this. It's the company's job to make money. And more specifically, it's their job to make as much money as they can. The fandom is not entitled to own any particular Transformer toy. If companies can cut down on waste/costs by not over producing product that eventually has to be sold at a loss on clearance, that should be their option. More over, when it comes to toys, the manufacturers have very little control over how much product hits shelves or where it hits shelves. The retailers place their orders. The toy companies fill those orders. If Walmart decides that they are going to order fewer Transformers this year, or just fewer boys toys/ toys in general, Hasbro can't force more product onto their shelves. If anything, the rise of preorders as well as direct sales options such as Hasbro Pulse are attempts to make products available to everyone.

I agree. I preorder all the toys I want (not as bad as it sounds cause I keep in mind what I order and all). Sadly product sits on shelves at Walmart and places where turn over isn't what it was. Distrubution is also really bad too. I don't see the toys I want or they are hard toy to get. Pulse hasn't been that bad. $50 pays for itself in all mailing of all the stuff I've bought.

I didn't start preordering till couple of years ago. I had it with not finding any of the toys I want in store. I use to enjoy the hunt for many years cause sooner or later I'll get my prize. Now I may never see that toy in store. . . Toy stock in stores don't move much and don't have the toys I want. I made special folder in my email of all the stuff I preorder so I know what I got on order and so far its been working for me. I don't pay scalper prices and so far guarantee that I'll get the toy.
