I have run the 225/45/17's on myToyota Caldina GtFour previously and found them to be extremely good tyres in all conditions we get in New Zealand..... I was amazed at the grip level vs other brands I have used.... Definitely getting another set fot my 87Toyota Celica GtFour
I just wish more sizes were available like a 205 or 215/40/17 as I can't fit 225/45/17 on my 87 GtFour

Actually, W rating is 168mph. I see your point, but for the daily sports car; this tires are superb! Lots of traction, and SUPER QUIET! I highly recommend these tires to anyone willing to eliminate tire noise.

What I want to know is what sort of longevity you can expect from these tires.

    155mph?
W is rated for 168mph - How often do you go that fast?

depends on how you drive I'd think...

Might want to say "he/she" instead of "he" when referring to the driver, John....
