  • "The white moose of Sweden", a small film from the heart of Sweden -the landscape Värmland. The white moose is not a albino, it´s a race that you can find around the the landscape Värmland and most around the town Arvika.

    Thanks for filming this - and the still shots are really great too. For those of us that are not able to get that close - it's a real treat!

    Man, that Swedish accent was so thick that I'm sure at least one English-speaking viewer didn't even realize that he switched to English.

      I bet it is hard at night to survive. He stands out so much to predators like wolves. These species probably have to try a lot harder to stay alive.

      @@coffeepandacat I agree, really hard to hid themselves from preditors. They stand out like a sore thumb. Poor things, even though he is a big boy and can probably defend himself from most. I hope he is still alive and running free.

    Hold on, let's not go nutzie here. It's merely an albino. At least nobody made absurd kissing noises toward it. And also it's lucky that that car which blundered into the scene wasn't white, else you know who might have tried to mate with it.

    • @hemligx-sson8202
      @hemligx-sson8202 Год назад

      No, it’s not an albino, it’s some other type of disorder. They produce melanin, but they break down the melanin, so they become white. Try albinos have red eyes, these haven’t.

      Most leave the white moose alone though. We eat the normal moose however, because we have to shoot some, they become overpopulated at times and are highly dangerous. It makes both humans and moose suffer consequences. They get hit by cars and injure themselves. Would you rather it die from bleeding out, starving or getting brutally hunted by predators for being weakened, or have it quickly put to sleep using a gun? We can still respect them, we just have no choice but to eat some. Wasting their meat seems like a dishonor to nature. Moose is literally the symbol of Sweden, do not say "shame" on us!
