I loved how he stayed on the sidewalk instead of running around in a panic on the streets. He even crossed at the corner! This is one smart fella. Thanks for sharing.
Ironically, at this time of year, it is safer for him on city streets than a few miles out of town. This old guy has been around the block a few times.
This one is a wise old fella. Avoids the hunters by being in town. Understands car traffic, so he has probably done this before. He wont be anyone trophy any time soon i dont think.
agree. He looks like an old moose dude. Anybody have a guess on his age? And do the die naturally from old age? Or do the elders, if not killed by a hunter, die from being beaten down by a younger stronger bull moose?
I thought for sure he was going to eat those pumkins! He does seem like a wise old guy...using the sidewalk and not freaking out about traffic. I hope he has a long life!
Katrina Demiri, "amazing" is one thing to call their loss of habitat, so that you "do not have to pay to go see them at a zoo" Hmmm, interesting thinking ...maybe try from the animals point of view
@Ron Pleake moose, like (most animals) don't think about anything besides eating, shitting, sleeping, and fucking. It doesn't have any meaningful thoughts about me or anyone other human unless it's "is that a tree"
Wow... what a magnificent and beautiful animal. I'm thankful that its smart enough to stay out of the road. Since I have never seen a moose in person, I have now come to realize how massive these animals are compared to us... let alone a car.
If the moose population in Alaska is healthy enough that large males like this can be seen in urban areas like Anchorage, that is a very good thing. In other places in Canada and the US, moose are under threat from many different factors. The more moose, the better! Long live the magnificent moose!
I was born in Seward, Alaska, and enjoy these videos of animals able to wander thru the communities and NOT be bothered by stupid humans. I do not mean some of the animals, but please give care to all!!
That's the big boss. He's just minding his own business. Smooth on his feet. Just walking down the street. Looks like he's been here many times before.
I seen one close up in December of 2017. It was huge like this one. First time to Anchorage. First time ever seeing moose. Scared the daylights outta me.
Summer of '74 I made friends with a bull moose in my Anchorage neighborhood (College Gate) by feeding him apples. After 3 days I would walk into the woods and find him waiting for me.
Years ago a neighbor of mine had a set on antlers he had brought from Alaska. They were huge and weighed a ton. Those moose must have some crazy neck muscles.
Such an amazing clip! He knows more pedestrian laws than knuckleheads in Ontario. Also good to see no one screwing with him although he could put a world of hurt on anyone getting in his way.. keep em coming!
This is a beautiful moose. He just gracefully glides through the neighborhood not bothered by anything. The residents carry on with their business and don't even seem to notice him. Of course this is an ordinary occurrence in Alaska. If I encountered that where I live I would be terrified that it may charge at my car. I can only imagine how much damage would be caused if you strike one with your car. I hit an ordinary white tail deer with my Corolla several years ago and sustained over $5000 in damages.
* Saw one ( a cow ) total a van in Ontario one summer evening. The RCMP had to put the moose out of her misery. The Canadian Moose in Ontario are not as large as the Alaskan/Yukon sub species.
I've watched several videos and moose do not seem to be afraid of anything they just walk in stride To not looking around or panicking or anything How Majestic
In Canada as I was fishing in a canoe I came a across a moose mom and her calf I will never forget the scene as long as I live just grazing along the shore peacefully
Not sure so much about good health, there appears to be a sore on his right rear leg and he's also limping on that leg. Also a pretty nasty scar on his right side.
It seems like no matter how long people live in Alaska, they still take pictures of a moose walking down the street lol… My husband and I went on an Alaskan cruise a couple of times, we didn’t see any moose or bears, we saw a lot of Eagles though.. ( We saw more moose and bison in Montana)…then we had to take a two hour train ride to Anchorage and we had two days to spend time in Anchorage and then fly back to Southern California. We loved it there in Anchorage, we met a lot of cool people working at the shops and restaurants we went to and the hotel we stayed at. We were there in late August so luckily the weather was perfect, not too cold or freezing! Lol 😉
Mary had a great big moose, great big moose, great big moose, Mary had a great big moose who fur was chocolate brown. I was impressed by how he knew that he should walk on the sidewalk, not in the middle of the road. Apparently traffic safety is something that this moose learned in school.

When they lay down they do it off any trials also. They know what trails are and the road is a big trail with big animals on it
This is just a normal day in anchorage. They have adapted.
Don't you worry, he knows his way around town.
Well, I have squirrels in my yard so there!
In Norway, we say it's 'the king of the forest'. Tall like a lord, and a crown fit for royalty.
Lord Moose. I love it.
Skull 💀
Moose are awesome but don’t get onto their bad side
What a lovely way to describe such a majestic animal. Thanks for sharing.
European elks are not as majestic as their North American fellas
Ironically, at this time of year, it is safer for him on city streets than a few miles out of town. This old guy has been around the block a few times.
literally, literally around the block
He's beautiful.
Mmmm tasty
@BigChungus55 meat for months!
Moose roast mmm
But, oddly enough, gruesome when he's screaming for his life as a Grizzly eats him alive.
Hunters should be hunted and their heads out on a mount in the living room.
He even used the sidewalks… like a regular pedestrian.
et il porte une couronne naturelle ! he is a king!
crossed at the stop sign too :P
And even the subtle head bob to avoid the poles, too.
This one is a wise old fella. Avoids the hunters by being in town. Understands car traffic, so he has probably done this before. He wont be anyone trophy any time soon i dont think.

@@moodylicious * Most will die from one to many encounters with a wolf pack or a grizzly bear.
😍😘
Great point I hadn't even considered that he may understand that hunters only shoot in the wilderness.
Such a polite Moose 🦌 and very calm enjoying his afternoon stroll through the neighbourhood. Beautiful animal 💚💚💚
Moose is in a whole new hectic world its never seen before, Moose dont care, Moose just keeps walkin
Moose only live about 10 years in the wild. He grew up around all this.
So polite, must be a Canadian moose on holiday in Alaska.
Thanks very Much
F-U
Probably. thats not that far from Canada and Moses are known to travel
@@mikeyjames Moses parted the sea
They're not polite, they just have total disregard for humanity.
I love his attitude. Just strollin' down the street.
That was awesome! What a magnificent creature, just walking down the street, how cool!
What a majestic animal
I thought for sure he was going to eat those pumkins! He does seem like a wise old guy...using the sidewalk and not freaking out about traffic. I hope he has a long life!
Ha yes ! Looking for pancakes as well. This is down near Inlet View elementary school
love that antler awareness as he moves past the light post
The fact that you can just see these beautiful animals walk around and not have to pay to go see them at a zoo is pretty amazing
Do you mean the moose or the Alaskans??
You don't want one of these on a zoo
Katrina Demiri, "amazing" is one thing to call their loss of habitat, so that you "do not have to pay to go see them at a zoo" Hmmm, interesting thinking ...maybe try from the animals point of view
lahla13 Alaska has 670,000 square miles of land. Get a grip
Lol I saw a moose walking my dog today
there must be something when the moose are smart enough to cross at stop signs, but humans aren't
It didn't know to look both ways though. Was hoping a semi truck would come out of nowhere and blind side it. Stupid smelly animal needs to die
@Ron Pleake moose, like (most animals) don't think about anything besides eating, shitting, sleeping, and fucking. It doesn't have any meaningful thoughts about me or anyone other human unless it's "is that a tree"

John Johnson it would probably kill you xd
Imagine walking down the street and meeting this guy! LOL
* I'd cross to the other side of the street.
I love how the moose is just casually taking a stroll through the streets like 🎶 doo doo dooo 🎶
That's the big boss.

Walking down the street on the sidewalk, crossing at stop signs...love this moose...which house did he live in.
I seen one close up in December of 2017. It was huge like this one. First time to Anchorage. First time ever seeing moose. Scared the daylights outta me.
That’s one of the neatest things about living in Anchorage. We have moose, bear, red fox and once in awhile lynx wonder in our neighborhoods. 🙂❤️
I'm in Phoenix. Once many years ago while walking I saw a coyote roaming through a neighborhood.
If a moose came and ate my pumpkins, I'd be SO happy LOL.
Just a good ol boy... maybe traveled this route a few times... Fantastic Video!!!
Love how he followed the sidewalk. hahaha. It's great to see them naturally integrated with our mechanized, electrified world.
Moose amaze me. They are docile and quiet. They don't look for trouble. Calm.
Good moose! Using the footpath...... :)
That's awesome. I saw my maroon F350 pickup in your video and have pictures of that same bull on the same day in the same spot :-)
He is magnificent
Summer of '74 I made friends with a bull moose in my Anchorage neighborhood (College Gate) by feeding him apples. After 3 days I would walk into the woods and find him waiting for me.

Greetings from Australia. Those things are HUGE. Nice video :)
Years ago a neighbor of mine had a set on antlers he had brought from Alaska. They were huge and weighed a ton. Those moose must have some crazy neck muscles.
He is stunning! What a great video
Even with houses and everything around, this is still HIS territory, HE accepts US in HIS territory
Beautiful! Seeing a moose walking down the street must be as normal as seeing the neighborhood cat walking around
* Only a lot more dangerous than a house cat.
Thanks for the video, it shows the size of an adult moose whem walking besides cars and SUVs . I love how it walks gracefully, so majestic.
That is one handsome looking Moose.

You hit a moose with a car and most often, the vehicle is totaled.

Majestic creatures! Sure may be dangerous and not the smartest, but still majestic. Love moose.
Zero fcks given as he wanders the streets lol
What a beautiful being 🧡🧡
Pleasing, fascinating and relaxing video KAM. Also, it looked like a gorgeous, mild Autumn day in Anchorage - wish I were there then.

it just roams around town like its one that lives there
What a majestic animal!
How graceful!
He’s so big!!! Beautiful!!
He is gorgeous!!!!!
He's a big boy, he is as tall as the cab on the pickups, and he dwarfs that little Toyota 4-runner. Shiny and muscular, he's in good health for sure.

@@randallmarsh1187 * Sorry ,I didn't see the limp or the sore, as for the scar, that was healed.
Wow! His legs are so amazingly long - the better to walk in snow drifts, I guess. And people just drive by! This one is just fascinating!

Wow! That is crazy. Such a beautiful, majestic animal ...

Moose are sooo cool, I'm living in a country that doesn't have Moose, thought it was on deer height's
If you followed the moose home from school, how did he know where you live?
Because he followed him from school to home.
Film was made by another moose ...
Because they live in the same place
A privilege to see such creations for real.
Leave Sammy alone, he’s working a case!
