Lol. While I certainly understand where the impulse to help comes from… how exactly would one begin to “look after” a wild moose? Unless what you meant was more along the lines of… don’t harass him in any way, don’t shout and definitely do not get in his way. If that’s what you meant, then more power to you.
Interesting..the description says these white moose are called "piebald" In horses and other animals piebald usually means white with large color patches over it
Con Joe it’s not albino, if I recall correctly. I think it’s a gene mutation. I’ve seen a couple of videos of white mooses in Sweden so seems that maybe the gene mutation occured there.
I have a love hate relationship with Moose. I love them because they are such extraordinary animals!! So awesome when u actually see one!! I hate em because up at my cabin in Yellowstone my dog and I always seem to get caught off guard by them and charged and chased for about a half mile lol fun stories to tell though!!
If anyone's interested: "Despite the animal's all-white appearance, it's coloring does not result from albinism, a congenital condition that results in a loss of pigmentation. Cases of albinism in animals and in people result in light or pinkish colored eyes. Moose with bright white fur more commonly obtain this feature from a recessive gene that causes the animal to grow white with specks of brown-a condition referred to as piebald." (Source: National Geographic)
That was two different moose. That, or half the video is from one year and the second half was videoed a year or so later. The second moose that was eating the tree leaves was older, larger, and whiter than the first one shown.
Yeah, moose are massive beasts. You don't want to hit them with your car since their height means you snap their legs and the rest of their insane weight hits your windshield and flattens you and your car. The precious white moose population in Värmland, Sweden have the same size as the the normal brown moose population of the rest of Scandinavia.
@Brain Strain Can never be 100% sure. But we have several of these white ones walking around. Our hunters have more respect then these trophy hunters killing lions and shit just to hang on their wall. Also hunting season here is only a short period of time during fall, rest of the year its a non-hunting season. Never heard of a swedish hunter who shot a white moose.
@Brain Strain Most likely you are correct. Sadly also its well known that some of the asian countries think tigerbones grinded down to flour will give you strength. They will disappear during our lifetime. It is a fact, from 200k tigers a century ago, to 20-30k tigers today. It will be a sad history we teach our children about, the striped big cats known as Tigers.
Very beautiful and majestic. That is one moose people should definitely NEVER want to shoot. Doing such would probably bring something much worse than simple bad luck.
You act like hunters are bloood crazed morons. Hunters are the first group of people to protect rare or unusual species..and understand their natural ebbs and flow in their normal poulations in regards to natural predators, disease and food source availibilty depending on seasonal precipitation..foid source blights..and competition from others in a herd that may have ourgriwn its numbers in a specific area. ..They understand how to properly and reasonably thin a herd so it will be healthiest without reducing numbers in any one area beyond natural sustainable limits. You truly need to spend some time in a logging or hunting community and learn about their views on conservation and preservation..
Do you see those antlers on his head? He can impale you and lift your entire weight with them (and his incredibly powerful neck muscles). He’s well protected.
And there are twisted, sick, demented people out there that would love to shoot this rare beautiful animal !! Trophy Hunting gives hunters a real bad look !!
A bull moose, it will be hanging on someone's wall one day. if people want to protect things they shouldn't advertise the fact, many hunters now will call that a prize moose
In Sweden we have about 100 white moose or more, and they are NOT albino!
So rare and so beautiful
Beautiful and stunning, look after him if you can.
Stabil that’s good thanks, never knew you even had bears and wolves there, all the best from Scotland 🏴
Look after for it what❓that's a wild animal that can fend for itself in the wild 🤨 as wild animals in nature do
Lol. While I certainly understand where the impulse to help comes from… how exactly would one begin to “look after” a wild moose?

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful creature.
Interesting..the description says these white moose are called "piebald"
In horses and other animals piebald usually means white with large color patches over it
You're right, I think this one is albino (seems to be a pure white) also, I may be wrong but piebal wild animals (I think) are a result of inbreeding
Con Joe it’s not albino, if I recall correctly. I think it’s a gene mutation. I’ve seen a couple of videos of white mooses in Sweden so seems that maybe the gene mutation occured there.
Albino would have pink eyes...This is definitely piebald
One of Santa’s raindeer..🤗

That's white chocolate moose.
Majestic !
That’s an albino but gorgeous
Yes, looks like it ~ but his eyes are very dark. Albinos usually have light or pink colored eyes, I think?
If anyone's interested:

No, it's leucistic (a mutation which causes only partial loss of pigmentation) not an albino. If it was albino it would have pink or red eyes
Leucistic is correct a pibald would have brownish spots👍
No it is not an albino. It has black eyes. Not pink
Thanx

A Moose who fell in flour at a bakery in Stockholm is missing, please call animal welfare if you have any informations.
Why did the shape of the antlers change?
So cool!

I regret to inform you all that this video was taken moments before I shot and killed this legendary moose...
...in Red Dead Redemption 2
Ooh its cute! Then again, all moosen are cute.
Ghost of Mooses Past ?
Woah magnifique ! En France la chasse à courre l'aurait pister, épuisé et buté direct à l'arme blanche.
How come the horns are different in each clip? Two different moose??
Se nota la poca variedad genética
Dont worry, no trophy hunters will ever take that crown and put on a wall.

Idc if you’re late for your mom’s funeral, you don’t drive by a moose like this without stopping, turning off the engine and just listening
Moose from snow white
This happen here finland also.
First it was news, then it was news when someone shot it during hunting season 😁.
