I went and found the video, and you're right, his performance was even better there. He looked like he was having a wonderful time! I think the acoustics and/or sound system were a little better in Cadogan Hall than they were in the church performance. I know for sure the video system was better; it was fun to get to see closeups of the singers, musicians, and director!

Same here, I've heard the Stellenbosch University Choir sing it, the US Navy and several male gospel choirs and I can't get enough of it. The male soloist for this choir is on target with his pronunciation of words and vocals.

Absolutely. The song/hymn itself is so uplifting that there are many other performances that I like. But this my absolute favorite, my go-to when things look dark.

Just had my daily dose of Baba Yetu, l just love this version, and also the Cadogan Hall one too, I just love to see the brilliant interaction between Tommy & Frances, their smiles and beautiful voices really make a dull day in the UK brighter.

The pure joy of the female soloist when the male sings...it's like jello. Just look at her, mouthing the words. She's right there, in the moment. You don't know how it gels together but it does. This arrangement and performance is simply amazing. What an outstanding performance by both soloists and the chorus at large. Wow.

I thought he made the song too "pretty " not bad. But I loved the African singer. Now HE had an incredible voice and just his presence was unbelievable. I thought this was was mediocre really.
