You have to understand the hundreds of hours of rehearsals, tuning, repetition, and grueling work that go into a performance. She is analogous to the auteur in film-making. I've listened to this masterpiece, this voice of the gods, at least 50 times just this morning, and every time, my chest gets heavy, and my eyes swell up. It makes me think of my mother, whom passed away 14 yrs ago and I know she would've absolutely LOVED this.
It's difficult to find words to say how much this group moves me. Although the talent is obviously considerable, there's something more. From experience, there is a power in music performed together. When it's good, it can be felt by the singers even in the midst of a performance. And these people know what I'm describing. I've seen members of the Angel City Chorale look at each other in joy during and after a performance, knowing what they're producing together is powerful, absolutely beautiful, and it feels like a small miracle of human acccomplishment. Sue Fink, you and the Chorale are phenomenal. Not only have you united a group of diverse people, they unite themselves in music every time they perform.

It's very difficult to find a good version of Adiemus because if you listen to choral music you will have heard it done 1000 times! But having said that, this is one of the better ones.
