Honestly, the strength of God is greater than you could imagine. As a child my religious education consisted of my mother saying God and Jesus exist and a couple picture books. Naturally, in our modern anti-christian society, I had trouble latching on to God, or merely comprehending the true nature of Christianity. Frankly, I allowed myself to be shamed out of it. When my brother offered me more knowledge on Catholicism, my entire world fundamentally changed in every aspect. My life has meaning. My suffering has meaning. I am no longer a slave to my emotions. The nature of my mental disorder was completely turned on its head. But most of all, there came strength. We are only human; no human can even compare to the strength of God. There is strength now in my faith; in my relationships; in my art; in my work; in every breath I take. It is not only my strength anymore. You can have this strength. Turn to God. If you haven't already, I would recommend you read Orthodoxy by GK Chesterton and Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. That is usually the best place to start. Good luck on your journey. Darkness is fragile; it cannot withstand a single shred of light.
@Luan Fernandes I feel like that's how I am too, for now. Just do the best you can; if we do that we will all get through this life together. Have strength, brother.
*"Here comes the Lord in a Eucharistic procession!"* *Let God arise,* *Let His enemies be scattered;* *Let those also who hate Him flee* *before Him.* (Psalm 68)
What ever happened to “and when you pray do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and *on* *the* *streets* so as to be seen by others.” ?
@Ameretat010 You can accept Jesus Christ without shoving it doen everybody elses throat. How so? Dont deny Him when somebody *asks* you. Thats what He’s referring to. Yes i know theres a need to spread the Gospel message, but when the ones who are spreading are associated with pedophilia by everybody in the secular world, its time to dissociate ourselves from them. And no, this is not a single person showing how great they, the individual, are. This is a group of people displaying how great they, the catholic institution, are in public.
@Ameretat010 Also that quote “Where two or three are gathered in My name….” is *exactly* what I use to say that the catholic institution and aaaalllllllll of its doctrines are wholly *unnecessary.*
@Ameretat010 Wow…. Writing off pedophilia from church officials by saying “the rest of the world does it too.” I’m pretty sure that’s the opposite mindset that a Christian is supposed to have in general. And yes, displaying the Body of Christ is quite literally spreading the Gospel message of the resurrection of Jesus Christ as King of the Kingdom of Heaven, a.k.a “The Good News.” Not the worst thing to be done, but like i said, the world associates catholics with pedophiles…. so that means theyre one step away from associating Jesus with the same thing. And yes, people should have stopped supporting the *people* and *organizations* in the sci-fi community that were revealed to be pedophiles. Theres no justifying it. That doesnt mean the rest of the sci-fi community is guilty. Just like the *other* followers of Christ arent guilty either. Just the leaders of the catholic institution. Yet when they were exposed, it was covered up, thus further profaning the name of God in the eyes of the world. Youre a Christian, you are held to higher standard than the rest of the world. How dare you write that atrocity off by saying the world is guilty too. As for your nuke targets…… All *your* words not mine. And i never said anything about nuking anyone. I said its time to dissociate ourselves from the pedophiles. *YOU* chose weapons of mass destruction. Just like *YOU* attached all those judgemental labels to all of your nuke targets. You took it from dissociating the Name of Christ from the pedophile church leaders to nuking the nation of Ireland and its people for doing *nothing* *other* *than* *existing.* Your words are telling of what your character is. “It is not what goes into a man that makes him unclean. It is what comes out of a man that makes him unclean… whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles.” Since you already believe in Christ, here are His words. I suggest you do some self reflection. I’m done responding to this garbage that you speak.
@Ameretat010 I understand what you mean, and i dont actually believe that you condone those atrocities. But your words carry weight, and its possible somebody else could interpret all of that as a justification (and the nuking stuff was a bit extreme, i wouldve pointed it out whether in person or not, it was apples and oranges). I shouldnt be as accusatory as i am, yet here we all are, as big of failures as ever. Its the human condition.

@Sam Myerowitz Marxists, and by extension all the other degenerate forms of socialism, despise religion as it is a form of tradition people have that prevents them from creating a proper revolution. The soviets oppressed Christians, Jews, basically any religion as it was seen as subversive to the state. Nazi Germany did it as well, and tried to replace it with a cult of personality around hitler. China is doing it right now to the Muslims and their own local religions as well as Christian missionaries and local sects. Make no mistake, Marx hated religion, and that hate is etched into the soul of the ideology.
Join us, then. Holy Mother Church would love to see you, and everyone else, in it! Christ wants all of us to love Him more. You love Jesus, this is obvious enough, and great. God bless, from a Catholic to a Protestant; I was once in your shoes...best decision I ever made in my life was conversion. I never want to go back. This is Christ's true Church, this is His home.
@KY-ji4wdThe problem.with sola scriptura of Luther is that it is not correct to begin with. The Bible is an important part of the Tradition of the Church but not everything. And it is not only word of God but also to be interpreted through the wisdom of Jesus christ who is the word and thus reason itself. Literal interpretation of scripture is a fallacy. One needs the authority of the apostolic teachings of the church to keep it united and not split up into sects. That and also the 7 sacraments, the importance of natural law which Luther rejected, the importance of greek philosophy on Christianity were reasons for me to convert ( I am in conversion and will be confirmed next month)❤
@KY-ji4wd Principles for interpretation are of course difficult because everyone can potientially read something differently . And this was often a problem in the history of the church Like the 'Realpräsenz' (real presence) of Jesus in the Eucharist which Luther affirmed (althought he weakened the aristotelian 'Transsubstantiationslehre - sry I don-t know the translation right now). From my point of view the sola scriptura, sola fide, sola gratia makes the religious experience less fulfilling. Luther totally rejected natural law, and by that there is no middleway between the ungodly world and the faithful anymore. This makes protestantismus dwindle and sort of fall from the extreme of fundamentalism to radical openness to the world/unholiness. The middleway seems to be blocked, because Luther made any genuine political theology unfeasible. For me not only given the disorganization and strong heretical tendencies within the Lutheran Evangelic Church in Germany I decided to convert. Catholicism which for me represents a strong continuity of tradition in teaching. Certainly compared to what I have had to witness here in lutheran churches. All the best❤️🙌 Praise be upon Jesus Christ

I mean, there is no difference in Christians to Muslims, your all desperately fighting to keep 2000 year old concepts that serve no purpose alive. And because cognitive dissonance looms over your lives it is gonna be a hard life for you compared to those who can make use of actual factual information and knowledge to make realistic and rational choices in life that won't have them walking into oncoming gun fire thinking God will literally save them. I've seen that, and it ends bloody. I mean currently the two most common ongoing conflicts in the world is either over tyranny or religious radicalism. No conflict has ever been caused by an Atheist, or an agnostic.
@@53ns3i I just wanted to comment on a specific point you made, about the kind of people that would run straight into gunfire thinking "god will save me", and any other example like that that you can think of. As a Catholic myself I would say that those kind of people have an immature faith, I recognize that those kind of people exist and I've seen them, I'm not sure if I'd say that they are many but I'm sure they are louder than most, but that way of thinking isn't actually representative of how at least Catholics, because that's all I have experience with, should be. Thinking of god like some sort of personal superman that it's gonna go right there and get you out of the way of the bullets for example, or serve as a bulletproof shield, is the way a child would think, someone with a more mature faith would think "well God gave me intelligence and reason to see that if I go there I'll probably die, so if I'm not willing to die in that gunfire I should probably stay away". Faith and facts/reason are not opposites, I think that part of having a mature faith is using those skills, knowledge and possibilities in life, wether they may be possibilities to study, get access to information or experience things, which were given by god, to their fullest which in turn would make your faith grow and develop. Doubts and questions help your faith be stronger and bigger, they shouldn't be avoided by a good Christian, and knowledge and reason always breed them, so they actually are complementary to a healthy faith. A reasonable catholic would see science for example as a way to admire and know God's work, my view in particular with things in general, specially things you may like, is that the more you know about them the more there is to love about them, so anyone that loves God would be more than happy to have more ways of expressing their love for him. As an old Spanish saying goes "A Dios rezando y con el mazo dando" which translates to something like "To God praying while with the hammer working", the closest thing in English would be "God helps those who help themselves" I think. It's not like God isn't helping you, he is, by giving you the means and possibilities to get things done with your hands, but don't expect things to just magically get done from one moment to another, that's foolish. As a Catholic I do believe in miracles though, but that's not the way they work. Sorry that I went on for too long there, all I'm saying basically is that there's always ignorant people in any group, so picking on religions based on them isn't quite fair, they do not represent the ideals and teachings of the group they supposedly participate in. I respect your decision to not believe in God, but I just hope to clear some misconceptions so you can make an informed judgment for yourself. Lastly sorry if I made any mistakes or said something in the wrong way as English is not my first language, I'm happy to clarify and correct anything I may have said wrong so we can understand each other.

@Piotr Dembowy The speed of light is the forward propagation speed of light. The speed of the light wave itself cannot be measured. Science is limited by the bounds of the scientific method. If you can't measure it, you can't science it. Your faith in nature only allows you to see part of the material world that you have been allowed to see.
@Piotr Dembowy That's not entirely true. One is not able to explain the very existence of the material world that you can see. One assumes that because science can be used to explain so much, that it will eventually, given enough time, be able to explain where the material world comes from. I am here to witness to you today, that science is utterly incapable of explaining, without doubt, the machinations of the "quantum" world because of the limitations of the scientific method and its fundamental reliance upon measurement. Information travels at the speed of light. Our ability to measure anything is limited by the speed of light. Heisenberg's original proclamation was that the quantum world was "unknowable", not that it was uncertain. It became "uncertain" because without doing so, all pretense of scientific atheism is destroyed. This does not prove God's existence, but it relegates science to its proper order within the realm of metaphysics as that of a philosophy. A useful philosophy, no doubt, but nothing more than a philosophy - one that is relegated to the bounds of permissible measurements. KAT

@@captaincole4511 I would say less then the mainline. Also, Catholic Church clergy and priest are actually becoming more theologically conservative while the membership body and the pope and those on his level are drifting more liberal. @asherlito3801 it would be great to see the Catholic Church take hold and actually teach what She always taught. Not this nonsense the bishops and modernist priests spew out now. You see, the issue is that there are so few(devout) Catholics left. Most Catholics don’t even believe in their own faith(hence why I put devout in parenthesis. It’s only the devout who are willing to do the right thing). And that includes priests and bishops. There are a few who are willing to take a stand, but they’re a minority. And since they’re a minority, they’re easy to get rid of. In a nearby diocese, I heard over 8-12 priests were removed for preaching the truth. Some of their whereabouts are still unknown. It’s very sad. I agree, as a Catholic that the Church needs to step in once again and Catechize(I mean the whole reason the Church was established by Christ was to catecize! Bc Catechesis=knowledge of God=much higher opportunity to turn to God and change for His sake v.s. Remaining in ignorance). I don’t exactly hold the view that the clergy doesn’t teach properly bc they assume people will care. I think far worse of them. Based on things I’ve seen, interviews I’ve heard and questionable documents put forth, I believe they had diabolical ideas. They acted on them. Taking advantage of the lack of concerned for faith displayed by laymen. The clergy patted the lukewarm lax Catholics on the back and pointed them to the gates of hell. The clergy Im referring to are now dead, they were at their prime in between the 20’s-70’s. That is when they did the most damage, they planted the seeds of destruction and now we’re seeing it’s fruits in a radical Pope who has bishops and priest following his lead. Both apparitions discuss the times we live in, quite scary but Our Lady conveys hope, and a need for sincere repentance by the world. Which includes me and you all. I called myself a Marxist and was even active in the Communist Party from my late high school years (2004-2005ish) until about 2018. It wasn't until 2013 that I realized there was something seriously wrong with the movement, the way it glorified violence, tried to destroy any critical voices among their own membership, and particularly made anyone whether they were famous novelists or just rank and file members of their own party the subject of character assassination if they professed belief in God. Meanwhile they treat Lenin, Mao, Stalin, Marx, Engels, and Fidel Castro as if they're infallible. I slowly started realizing that communism operates very much like a very primitive, and very malignant cult. It has its own rituals, its own theology that has elevated a handful of their comrades (particularly Lenin) to Godhood, and they even go on pilgrimages to places like Lenin's Mausoleum, preferably while carrying around large portraits of the man that are basically their substitute for icons. They celebrate his birthday, commemorate the day he died, and keep pictures and/or statues of him in their homes, often near a selection of their books, creating their own small shrines to him. I remember one time when a well liked member of our youth movement died while in his early 20s, and people kept telling me "he has gone into the light and is with the comrades who have gone before us now". It just...baffled me. The pieces slowly started to fall in place. I went through all the usual stages one goes through when their world view falls apart: from "they've strayed from the true path Lenin had intended", to "It's never been implemented the way Marx intended it", to "it was the product of its time, maybe parts of it just aren't appropriate for this current age anymore and we need to update it to 21st century circumstances". Finally I just made peace with the fact that I'd let myself be mislead for the entirety of my adult life. It's not easy to admit to yourself that your entire worldview was completely and utterly wrong, but I'm glad I have excised this cancer from my life. I had never been an atheist, but in 2019 I finally converted to Christianity after I discovered the power of prayer, how praying the rosary made it feel as if my soul was healing. I'm a cancer survivor and the treatments left me with a lot of lingering issues including chronic pain, but nothing has ever given me the peace and pain relief of prayer. God is great and merciful. I was a sinner, but once I asked Him to love me He made sure I felt the Holy Spirit embrace me. God bless all my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Okay, but seriously, even if they just changed routes because the procession was in their way, the fact they moved so goddamn FAST just confirms that they straight up fled at the sight of them.
Maybe they went to get their dresses on so they could join the other men wearing dresses. I'll never understand why men would say cross dressing is sinful, then proceed to put on a dress and put on a weekly show for hundreds of people as a service to God.
@@TheRealMonnie A priest’s robes is not a dress. It’s less about the design of the clothing and more about the cultural connotations behind it. That’s why most depictions of Jesus wearing a robe are not him cross dressing, since that was the standard for men of his time.

I haven’t been to church in years but this made me wonder if I should be going back
Honestly, the strength of God is greater than you could imagine.

And this was often a problem in the history of the church
Like the 'Realpräsenz' (real presence) of Jesus in the Eucharist which Luther affirmed (althought he weakened the aristotelian 'Transsubstantiationslehre - sry I don-t know the translation right now).

@@davidlopez6703 actually because we live in the Information age, young folks are more likely to question and doubt religion. People are a whole lot smarter than ever before.

You can. Just sit in the back row. Perhaps try to follow when the others stand and kneel, but no problem if you can't. Singing along is not required. When/if they bring around a bowl for donations, toss in some coins. When the others go line up for communion, just stay in your seat. The duration of a Catholic mass is less than 1 hour.

@Piotr Dembowy The one that made you, me and everything that you can see which surrounds you.

@@captaincole4511 I would say less then the mainline. Also, Catholic Church clergy and priest are actually becoming more theologically conservative while the membership body and the pope and those on his level are drifting more liberal. @@asherlito3801 Depends on where you are talking about, catholicism itself is terrible though so it doesn’t matter
Why is catholicism terrible?
If your interested look up Our Lady of Akita and Our Lady of Gods Success. Both apparitions discuss the times we live in, quite scary but Our Lady conveys hope, and a need for sincere repentance by the world. Which includes me and you all.

If I were them, I would cross myself and bow.
I'm glad to hear your journey. Stay strong!!!

Where was this at people are saying it's a college?
Can you say what country this is? It’s confusing me. At the beginning it resembles North America/ somewhere in the “new world”, but then at 0:25 you get transported back to medieval England (looks just like many of the historic colleges of Oxford and Cambridge). I know it isn’t Oxford or Cambridge because the first part is way too modern to be either of those cities, so I’m guessing it must be somewhere like the US or Australia?
@@tamaracarter1836, It's probably the USA. I searched for "Left Action", (the name of the organization on their Tshirts). Some Facebook posts by them popped up. All of them were about Roe v Wade, Trμmp b@d, Blah blah blah..

Ran faster than the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Despite having a defunct economic system the Soviets achieved more in two decades than religious societies in centuries.
Yeah.
And they also destroyed their occupied countries' economies and populations just as fast too.

God bless the Catholic Church, even though I am a Protestant, the Catholics have most beautiful procedures and churches, and every time one of my catholic friends asks me if I go to church too, I agree.
It is the church founded by Jesus. He wants you to come home to his church. You can call the church office and ask about RCIA classes. Once you learn, you will never want to go back to a church without the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist and 2000 years of tradition.

Tosca C you're right!!!
Netti T. Well said, protestants are the true evil and satanic cultists, it's their fault and of their deformers(specially that bastard of Luther) that Europe is so atheistic and true Christianity is viewed around the world as a joke and an evil and corrupt mafia. Please do not profane the name of God.
Maybe they went to get their dresses on so they could join the other men wearing dresses. I'll never understand why men would say cross dressing is sinful, then proceed to put on a dress and put on a weekly show for hundreds of people as a service to God.
@@TheRealMonnie
A priest’s robes is not a dress. It’s less about the design of the clothing and more about the cultural connotations behind it. That’s why most depictions of Jesus wearing a robe are not him cross dressing, since that was the standard for men of his time.
@@TheRealMonnie Cassocks aren't dresses, they are a type of robe essentially. Lack of pants (which they are actually usually wearing under cassocks anyway) does not equal dress not does it automatically signify something feminine. The irony is that the priests probably more guilty of putting on a show aren't even wearing cassocks anymore, these guys are following rather specific rubrics laid down for the old mass.
