Another thing that can be slowing down a PC is if it is throttling back because of heat. This was my issue on my notebook and the fix was to blow the dust out. I used a compressor with the regulator set to very low pressure.

I really hate those anti-virus apps. It makes my laptop too slow and it is really annoying. I just rely on windows security when I enter college and my IT teacher really help me. I was thoughtless. Well this is very informative for everyone out there who are scared to explore their pc

I am not tech-savvy and I don't own a computer until last year when my fiance bought me a laptop as a birthday present, thank you for this video! My laptop is running slow... it's annoying sometimes and I am afraid I might delete important files while clearing the cache. Why does a message appear in my screen when I am deleting "unnecessary files" in the Registery which says - "Are you sure you want to delete these files?" And when I press "OK" another message says - " Are you really sure?" - when I click "OK" it then says, " are you really, really sure?" again when I click "OK" the words " Oh dear......oh dear.......you've done it now...." :-)

Your Windows 10 tips are a godsend. Also, I am grateful that you mentioned that Windows Defender works as well as some anti-virus programs. I have Webroot in my Dell Inspiron computer since 2017. I may be on the verge using up my subscription. Then I will not renew it anymore. To you, I am subscribed. Also, I am on the verge of switching my Web Browser from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge.
