    Starlink, even in North America was meant for area that do not have internet service or slow service. It was never meant for urban areas with fiber connections. Many areas in the provinces have no connections. The US Military have their own way of connecting with high command, as for affordabilty, people in the remote provinces can get together to procure or have local governments provide this to their citizens and local schools.

    Not all mabilis ang fiber, depende yan sa lugar, pag madami gumagamit sa isang lugar malaki ang traffic sa signal..

    Bakit pinasok ng starlink? Govt natin panahon ni PRRD asked starlink to service the Philippines. Ang internet natin ay controlled ng pldt kasi hawak nila ang gate. Plus local telecoms pay revolutionary taxes 200M pesos combined.

    yes in urban areas ok mga local internet providers. pero punta ka sa mga rural areas, most rely on mobile data dahil hindi pwedeng kabitan ng internet mga bahay nila. starlink is good for rural areas with no local internet cables or connections

    it pushed through with the help of amending of R.A 11659… at hindi yan nkapasok sa pilipinas ng dahil U.S military or strategic place tayo sa south asia. sadyang mas naging open lang tayo sa 100% foreign ownership ng internet service provider via satellite unlike sa karatig na bansa ng 🇵🇭

      If you check the Starlink map, you'll see that our neighbors in SEA will have Starlink from 2023-2024.

    • @cyproximity6389
      @cyproximity6389 Год назад

      yup. you can see there what the status and when will be rolling out in that country. and my point is our laws and regulations just made it easy for them to rollout here in the philippines. if that R.A is not amended last year for sure were still in the waiting list

    • @HiTechTaBai
      @HiTechTaBai  Год назад

      @@cyproximity6389 It could be the other way around because the proposal for Starlink to operate in the Philippines was way ahead of the passing of that law. So, maybe RA11659 was to facilitate Starlink after it chose the Philippines.

      Yeah but the problem is still the 60-40 restrictions lols.
      That's why there are few to no job available here in Philippines, thus Filipino goes to abroad just to work. Lol
