I've got a true love for the civilization series, no series of games has ever been able to capture my heart as much as Civilization.
my high school band also played those songs at our spring concert and we are also turning it into our marching show for the upcoming summer.
Oh wow.... Im speechless. This is brilliant! 5 stars!
Amazing brass section in this ensemble. Absolutely wonderful.
Is...is it okay that I literally cried of nostalgia...? ; _ ;
I'm 14...I've played Civilization my whole life...when I was younger, Civilization was the DEFINITION of my life. From all the fighting my family did, to all the people that died back then(ALOT of people close to me died when I was young), Civilization was my safe haven, where my only care in the world was exploring the world, just my empire and me..and this song was the start of it all. Words cannot decribe how much it means to me.
Playing this song for marching band 2 years ago was one of a kind.
those self-hating humans... y'know... the kind that think that Panda's life is worth more than a Chinese peasant's... they need to appreciate the scale of human achievement; something CiV got across very well.... our history as a species is a rich and inspiring one.
i'm just gonna replay this over and over. this music is beautiful!
The perfection combination of two beautiful songs.
I've always wanted to hear the band arrangement!! Thanks for the upload!
yess! thank you! i've been looking for this song without any singing! :D
This is the instrumental version of the song Baba Yetu written by Christopher Tin. The song was used with lyrics in the first Civ. IV game. The song is "Our Father" in Swahili.
Bravo! Bravo! Encore, encore!
Best videogame soundtrack ever.
That´s the sound of history.
Great video with great music :D
I get goosebumps when I see the construction of the Great Wall.
"make my heart filled with joy and to be glad that im human"
That is exactly, what this video does with me :)
what a wonderful soundtrack
... ... awesome!
Although we as gamers have this fixation on nostalgia and claiming that games only did it right in the past: Civ IV was an example that even contemporary games can still move you to your deepest core :)
not the video I was looking for, but I'm glad I stopped to check it out
@8bitman I love that video games allow us to experience feelings like this. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next to touch us on an emotional level. Thank you for sharing your experience =)
OMG! I love it! Such a great video....
I mean I love Civilazation. Always love being the King of the Vikings, lol. But great video. Love the beat and make my heart filled with joy and to be glad that im human.
It's really-really cool:) I love listening to it. The original music of the game is also excellent, but this is even better!
This... is amazing... I love the sound of Baba Yetu like this =).
This is a combination of Baba Yetu and Coronation actually...both amazing songs. It's a really great piece ^_^

What's going on at 1:02? Somebody ruining the Space Shuttle programme by talking about military adaptation?
I love this arrangement, the original is still better...
The best part starts at 1:38! has anyone got only this baba yetu version (from 1:38-end)?
Overall a good arrangement, but the two songs are missing the heavy percussion that made them memorable.
