23 years later and i still think this was probably the best civilisation build through the age's game i'd ever played. And holds a special place for me as one of the first 'Civ' games i ever played too.
This intro is insanely powerful, brings back good memories from the game that inserted me into the strategy genre, also i think it's the only thing that to this day make me, an aspie emotionless fucker who never get affected by absolutely anything, cry every single time

But when I heard Churchill's voice, it made me think about what he was talking about, and now Cancel Culture is trying to destroy everything we have worked so hard to build... everything CELEBRATED by games like this... that brought a tear to my eye just now
This intro was cooler in every way over CTP1, better music, better details, better fluidity. i only miss the aspect of going into space, even though the conquest of the ocean floor is also a very impressive concept. Sid Meier may have prompted to give us realism, but he lacked the sense of imagination required to enable us to go forward in the technological evolution.
aw and the view of the future it`s to optimistic :( ... i don`t think that we all will have the luck to stop the wars :( it`s imposible but after all imposible is nothing and we can stop this shit and live in peace :)
This will probably get voted way down, but... I didn't really like Alpha Centauri, I MUCH preferred the Call to Power games' depiction of the future. I just think the gameplay had some very interesting additions that would have been major improvements on the Civ series. Examples: 1. More civs in a game (and bigger maps at the time) 2. Space incorporated into Civ 3. Underwater incorporated into Civ 4. Many more techs 5. Much larger time frame Stopping due to character limit, but there are a

I mean, Captain Mother******g Anderson starts the whole thing, gets followed by quotes from the likes of General Douglas MacArthur and Otto von Bismark. It's like the entire intro's made of badass. The actual gameplay though... I felt they dumbed it down a bit too far, although it did bring a lot of cool new features to the table, like the hex grid, and only one unit per tile.
i just tried to play the game but its just sttupid how much wrong whit it -.- i cant see the animations and i f i play it for 5 mions or more it says it doesnt work... i love this game and i hate windows vista for not making it awaiable for play

GOG.com; it costs barely anything and is DRM free. You also get the absolute knowledge that it is virus-free, which you can't have if you pirate it with torrents or whatever.

I like that in Call To Power we have future era. Sad that in Civilization last era is modern.
Well we have something like that in Civilization V. Brave New World - Information Era with Giant Robots and X-Com.

The best civ intro and music
CTPII for me its the best "civ" game. Shame that is now impossoble to run MP mode. Also i love the atmshphere in this intro.

I think that the best thing about this game was the cinematics.
