The way this song hits, I can’t explain. That’s so Raven didn’t give us enough Raven and Devon time.
But picture Devon’s POV while he’s moved away: adjusting to his new life and ultimately being okay with the move because he’s a family oriented guy and he’d do it again for his dad knowing how happy he is to be with his newly wedded wife, but feeling heartbroken at how he left things with Raven. Settling into a new school, maybe getting attention from girls cause we know he’s F I N E, but searching for that quirkiness, sass and confidence that Raven emaculated, and throughout that one year apart from Raven, he puts his self out there, but it doesn’t work out, makes friends, starts to adjust but opens the tv one day after school and sees the news cast from episode 10, and laughs at how Raven is disguised but thinks to himself same old Raven. Then, a few months later, catches the cooking show about Raven and her dad (episode 21) and sees her getting swollen up after eating mushrooms, but roots for her as she wins the competition and says same old Raven with a sparkle in his eye and then finally his sister, records the Raven scary episode of Babysitter’s Revenge and he ends up watching it and remembering why he fell in love with her. His sister sees how upset he is and then let’s him know that his dad is going to San Fran for business that night and that if he hurries and gets ready he can go with him. Then BAAM season 3 episode 32.
