I think the reason the new doctor became a woman is cause most of the real strong characters are women, take the mars queen she wanted bill"s intake on what to do and not the doctors' and when clara did what she did to save her doctor. or when martha went around the world to help the doctor, or rose being rose and turning into the bad wolf to save the doctor. and yeah donna how she helped the doctor not become someone he would hate to be, and donna saving the doctor again.

The Thirteenth Doctor's First-Words should have been: 'Still Not Ginger!'
Hey, if anyone's interested, I'm reviewing all the Doctor Who stories on my channel, with me just having uploaded my review of: 'Death To The Daleks (1974)!' No pressure, of-course; It just might be worth checking out! :)
"To be fair, they cut out all the jokes!" is the most underrated line in the whole episode!
I prefer his comment on the rug Bill had bought him 🤣
I was expecting the reaction for "I am younger!" lol
But also Bill's line: "long story short, i totally pulled"
@@JuanSam I don't remember that line, but that's probably because I don't understand what it means. So it didn't stick.

"Clara had a crazy last second of her life"
oh my god I never thought about that haha
I also like that this episode confirms that Clara did, in fact, eventually return to Trap Street to die seeing as she has a glass avatar at her current age.
But did she remember her adventures?
@@BlueSparxLPs was that a glass version of Clara? or did the glass Bill unlock the Doctor's memories leading to a vision of Clara? Doc even says he has his memories back.
@@donaldwatson7698 Maybe it's a bit ambiguous in the episode itself, but the episode as written is that Clara appears to the Doctor as a glass avatar. The more "dreamlike" feel to the scene occurs on-screen because Jenna Coleman couldn't appear on that set to film at the time and had to be green-screened in later.
Blue Sparx I always assume she went back because the universe hasn’t collapsed yet haha
As soon as Bill said, "I'll prove to you how important memories are," I just lost it, I knew what was coming. I still cry every time I see it.
Me too
Same. It gets me everytime.
I was so happy that he remembered Clara in the end. I did not see that coming.
Although Matt Smith remains my favourite Doctor, I have nothing but love and respect for Peter Capaldi and what he achieved in this role. This was a beautiful send off to a wonderful character.

Farewell Twelve. Some criticized 'Twice Upon a Time' for being too indulgent, or “for having no plot”, but all it’s meant to be is a coda; a short reflection on change, death and the nature of memory, and as that, it works perfectly. Together with 'World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls', these last three episodes were the best farewell for a Doctor yet, and a fitting one for a phenomenal Doctor. For me, Peter Capaldi's very flawed and insecure, yet kind and wise Twelfth Doctor was my ideal kind of Doctor and will always be my personal favourite. Capaldi got to live his lifelong dream of becoming the Doctor, and he delivered a portrayal that will forever be remembered for many years to come. I still miss him deeply, just like you would miss a very dear friend who will always be with you.
Too bad it doesn't work as a competent episode of television.
My family laughed when Capaldi regenerated. Only hardcore fans liked this episode.
@@LiveHedgehog Hardcore fans were pissed at the character assassination of the first Doctor. I was also pissed at how insanely drawn out Capaldi's regeneration was. I just didn't care when he did because I did all my mourning in the six months he took to regenerate. I do miss when the Doctor could just change without there being some big drawn out thing about it.
Anyone who doesn't appreciate this episode can get fucked. It's such a wonderful story.
@@cameroncaws8506 what character assassination do you speak of? I have seen all of Hartnell's episodes and I completely disagree with your assessment.
@@lostfremen lol no it isn't. It's awful.
The editing at the beginning of the Hartnell to David Bradley was done by the fan who did the most famous wholock fanvid
He also did the opening black hole sequence in "World Enough And Time" too. Amazing how they hired someone who created stuff for fun to end up working on the show. The production team did know about him for a while before from RUclips and invited him to set, he likes to remain rather anonymous I believe in public.
@@fleason771 Adding onto this, Capaldi's title sequence was also a sort of remix of a fan title sequence. They brought the fan who created it on to make a version that kept the spirit of the fan version, but was more themed toward what they wanted for the Twelfth Doctor.

Twelve's GOODBYE, and Thirteen's baptism by fire. BRILLIANT, indeed ❤
Shame it didn’t carry on in this vein, and between 13 and the new direction her “baptism” may as well have doubled as a funeral for the entire series
@MarvelDC girl 1255643 2354 No she is not. There is a lot wrong with the new season.
Parker Groseclose yeah but it’s not her that’s the problem it’s the writing
@@desmondpoppy4511 I'd argue its both, but I don't know. I don't really like how she plays the Doctor, but I don't know if its because of the writing or her acting. She may be awesome if she had a decent script as a foundation, but she doesn't so I have judge based off what we have. And what we have is disappointing.

This to me, is one of the most underrated Christmas specials of all time with so many people saying it didn't need to exist, but my gosh, that ending and the Doctor's speech. peter really sells his age in that one speech right before he goes back into the tardis.
The problem is that the Doctor Falls was the perfect ending. No fuss, no sappy speech, just the Doctor dying heroically without hope without witness without reward. Then we had to wait 6 months to watch them milk the regeneration so hard that I stopped caring. I did all my mourning six months before he changed.
@@lucasdolding6924 A Christmas Special didn't seem necessary at all considering that Chibnall instantly dropped the.
Matt Cybus Agreed. This is one of my favorite episodes actually.
709 episodes ago refers to the last Hartnell episode. Hartnell had appeared in well over 100 episodes prior to that episode. So the 700th episode of Doctor Who is actually Aliens of London with Christopher Eccleston. The series is now past 850 episodes
Another thing to keep in mind is that Peter himself grew up watching Doctor Who in the 60s and was a hardcore fan during those early years, so the fact that he goes back to the First Doctor's last story and has an extra adventure alongside him must be such an experience. Like Eric said, this is really good for classic fans who have stayed and cared for so long, but that also includes Capaldi and I can't imagine how awesome must that feel.
The weird old timey bigoted jokes they gave to the First Doctor were a big miss for me though.
Jokes are jokes.
Well, the jokes serve multiple functions. They serve to indicate how far removed One is from Twelve, to foreshadow the coming of Jodie Whittaker and give a different dynamic to the Doctor, as he’s at the same time in awe of him but also kind of embarassed. Isn’t that how we would act if we would be face to face with our kid selves? Maybe canonically there are some discrepancies, but damn it does make a good story. It shows how much the Doctor has changed, keeps changing, how change can be good. Doctor Who is a show that constantly changes after all. “We’re all different people throughout our lives” Matt Smith said in his final speech. For better and for worse.
I remember Peter saying in conventions (during series 8 and 9) that the villain he'd like his Doctor to face most were the original Cybermen. Moffat obliged. :)
Some of the bigoted First Doctor lines were not originally given to him by Moffatt; the Doctor actually said them in episodes in the 60s. I can clearly remember him threatening Susan with giving her a jolly good "smacked bottom." I can't remember which other lines Hartnell spoke, but many lines we now see as grumpy, cantankerous and tolerable because it's a black and white episode in the 60s, really do stand out when put in a contemporary setting. I do think there were too many of them in this episode, though.
@@michaeldeboer9940 My problem is not with the purpose they served, but with what the lines themselves were. They were jokes in bad taste. Given that is subjective, but I don't think threading that line should be a thing you go for to begin with. You didn't mind them? That's good, I'm glad for you. Other people did though.
Also I don't think reducing the First Doctor to "well grandpa always says sexist shit at dinner, please don't mind him" is in any way doing him justice. Kind of the opposite really.
@@michaeldeboer9940 I'm embarrassed at myself from 2 weeks ago, for ever saying 1984 was anything near a Good book.

22:20 it wasn't 700th episode, because the episode which was 709 episodes ago was hartnells last. You have to add up all the hartnell episodes, so plus 131.
Time of the Doctor is episode 800, so this will be 840, as Capaldi has 40 episodes. The show currently has 857 episodes, as of the most recent episode.
The 709 specifically refers to _The Tenth Planet_ part 1, which is the 131st episode overall. As the number fades it starts showing clips of parts 2 and 3, then reconstructed scenes from part 4, of which only the regeneration scene and a few other clips survive. _Twice Upon a Time_ is the 840th episode.
I went to the comments specifically hoping someone would address this so that I wouldn't have to. So thank you for that.
Twelve’s last speech always gets me
Ya, that's why it pissed me off they decided to skip it all in this reaction!
@@SGK1206 what about 'never be cruel, never be cowardly, hatred is always foolish and love is always wise?' THAT was what i was complaining about, the children thing is cute, but unnecessary, THAT was the bulk of this speech and it was omitted.
@@SGK1206 The children part was added in because of Peter specifically. In a q&a a young fan asked if Peter knew The Doctor's name, and he replied with almost the same thing.

ZERO respect for Doctor Who, retconing and ignoring everything that been established before not to mention terrible, terrible writing that was dumbed down so much that no one is watching it anymore lol
I was a huge DW fan for years but now? They might as well cancel it at this point, I don't even care.
Doctor Tophat, there's only been one decent episode (Episode 5) and that's the only episode that feels like previous eras. The rest have been as bad as S11.
"If you call it the time war one." There were several time wars, it is call the last time war, so there were others.
To be more specific it's the "Last Great Time War", so in theory, there could be more time wars, just smaller scale time wars.
It’s actually called “The Third and Last Great Time War” in an episode.

"Well, I suppose….one more lifetime won’t kill anyone. Well, except me.
"You wait a moment, Doctor. Let’s get it right. I’ve got a few things to say to you. Basic stuff first.
"Never be cruel, never be cowardly. And never ever eat pears! Remember - hate is always foolish…and love, is always wise.
"Always try, to be nice and never fail to be kind. Oh, and….and you mustn’t tell anyone your name. No-one would understand it anyway. Except….
"Except….children. Children can hear it. Sometimes - if their hearts are in the right place, and the stars are too. Children can hear your name. But nobody else. Nobody else. Ever.
"Laugh hard. Run fast. Be kind.
"Doctor - I let you go."

I grew up with Tom Baker as the quintessential Doctor, but Matt Smith became MY Doctor and was heartbroken with his departure. It took me a long time to warm up to Peter Capaldi, but he grew on me, and is truly a continuation of Matt Smith's Doctor and the greater Moffat arc. Capaldi is indeed a perfect Doctor. Salute!
How do you feel about Tennant. He is my doctor
This probably my favorite Christmas special and favorite final goodbye to a Doctor.
...ahh, 'twice upon a time' - one of my very favourite doctor episodes . my first doctor was mr william hartnell - 'the original you might say' - myself and millions of other kids thought the world of sir william. mr david bradley's ability to embody william's doctor is nothing short of remarkable - it's as if mr david was channeling the first doctor - just beautiful! the interplay between mr david and sir peter is amazing - these two terrific actors sparring and sparking off each other - what a great double-act! farewell sir peter, farewell sir steven of moffat, farewell sir murray of gold - y'all were fantastic!!
Let's hope Mr Hartnell _stays_ the original and none of this retroactive continuity of a cycle of women before him. Uurgh!
Adam Darren Lmao rewatch Fugitive of the Judoon. A lot of fans missed the obvious there. I know for a fact it’s either one of two things. One possibility is the Season 6B theory. Google it.
I don't need to Google it, I've known about the 6B fanfiction-fanwank for almost three decades. Never bought into it. Never bought into fanfiction in general.
What's the other possible theory?
@@mekonta the whole '6B' fandango doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. the current show-runners went to great lengths in the last series to construct 'stand alone' episodes - presumably to make the show more accessible to 'casual'/new viewers. it would seem counterproductive to all of that to suddenly start referencing 'deep fan' material in a big way. perhaps ruth is a regenerated susan paying the doctor back for leaving her stranded in a dreary, dalek-ridden london with a crummy boyfriend!!

You should watch Broadchurch (UK). It has Whitaker and also Tennant. Even Bradley is in it. :D
Three Doctors. Also, Aaron was reading Broadchurch off and mentioned Gracepoint as well. Gracepoint was an inferior retelling of Broadchurch set on the west coast of the USA. They got David Tennant to play the lead in it as well: basically a clone of his Broadchurch character but a different name.
Also arthur darvill who played rory
The master refused to regenerate after his “wife” shot him.
The Brigadier had a daughter named Kate who took over UNIT. Also, the Brigadier's name was Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. He was a companion of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Doctors.
The first time the crew saw Jodie would have been on Black Mirror. The episode where a chip records everything you see, she played the wife.

Aaron’s face when Clara appeared was totally my face when I watched it for the first time.
Capaldi was my favourite doctor and Missy was my favourite master. I was so sad to see this era end. Also, the music in the episode! Man, the call backs!
This wasn't just the end of Capaldi and Moffat's time on Doctor Who, but also the composer, Murray Gold. You can pick out his most recognisable themes throughout this episode from across the entire modern era. The 9th Doctor's theme (a.k.a. Bad Wolf theme) plays when 13 appears, and the 11th Doctor's theme "I Am The Doctor" starts right after the 1st Doctor says that exact phrase at 5:05
We were all sorry to see Murray go.
I said this before and I will say it again if Doctor Who was to end as a show, then this episode would have been (Not Perfect) a satisfying or good way to do it. They can keep the war doctor but if they get rid of the 2nd David Tennant regeneration then that would have made Peters Doctor be the last Doctor of the cycle. The story of the last doctor convincing the first doctor to keep going all while knowing that this is his last life and also the fact that there isn't really an enemy for the story I think makes it better gives more time for the characters and the struggle they face in the story. Also having it be (roughly) taking place during in my opinion the biggest act of kindness and love the Christmas armistice, also Peters last monologue to Bill and Nardole really makes it act like this is the end of the entire thing. I could go on for ages explaining how this is a, again not perfect, but
a satisfyingly good end for the show, there are things I would change to make it a lot better but for what we got I'm happy with.
I really wish it was. Chibnall has killed The Doctor for me. He had no idea what he was doing writing that character, and now I don't even recognize the character.
@@epiccarrot88 same :(

Series 12 has been very good so far. So I have to disagree.
@@jeckjeck3119 Agree to disagree. It's still got all the main issues I had with Series 11. For me, the quality of the writing isn't what makes a show. The quality of the story isn't what makes a show. Sure, they both help, but they're not why I like stories. It's the heart, the soul, the passion for the story and the creativity. It's why the prequel Star Wars films are my favourite Star Wars Trilogy, despite the writing being pretty bad in some areas. Chibnall didn't have a story to tell, he had politics to discuss. He didn't take over Doctor Who because he had a grand vision of where he wanted to take the story, to build upon the work of the previous heads, and to create a piece of art. He did it because he wanted to make Doctor Who more woke; the show, in his eyes, needed more diversity, and more left-wing politics. He didn't care about the story. Mickey, Captain Jack and Martha are some of the most popular characters in New Who, despite them all coming in succession to one another and all being minorities. People didn't complain then because there was a clear story being told. Mickey being constantly insulted by the Doctor, realising he was just letting it happen, toughening up and becoming someone The Doctor ended up respecting. Captain Jack was a man from the future who conned people, only to end up trapped within his own life. Martha liked The Doctor, but eventually began seeing that nothing could ever happen between the two and that she deserved better than post-Rose Doctor was treating her. They all had a clear story to be told, and it was evident in their very first episodes.
The show ended here tho. Everything else is just a terrible fanfiction written by 14y old girl from tumblr for a group of mentally challenged 12y olds.
Its just better to pretend its not cannon
I never really got the idea of fans claiming a Doctor until I got to this one. I understood it but I never truly GOT it. But with 12 I was like yeah okay yeah this is totally my Doctor I love him and he's totally who I think of when I think of the Doctor. I love his character development so much. He started out questioning whether or not he was a good man and needing Clara to care about others on his behalf and not minding anyone's feelings when he said things. Now he cares so much even when he teases his companions and the thing he wants most for his next regeneration is for the next Doctor to be kind and never cruel and it speaks so much to his growth.
As a german, this episode has a special place in my heart. I'm always getting goosebumps when they start to sing. Honestly as I watched it the first time I started crying, but in a good way.
"I suppose one more lifetime won't kill anyone."
Proceeds to viciously kill the canon with The Timeless Child. Thanks Chibnall!
They did the First Doctor so dirty in this
Honestly it makes me more uncomfortable the more times I see the way he’s written. It’s a shame as David Bradley portray’s the First Doctor with such perfection that the cheap jokes really bring the whole thing down.
@@SamR1995 Yeah its unfortunate
Moffat is horrible that way.
I know, they should have put those sort of things down to the time they were written, I don’t even remember the first doctor saying anything like that sort of stuff from what I’ve watched, but you have to get your political message that men are bad and all that I guess.
Also, it was only like two episodes ago the Doctor went on saying the Time Lords are so far beyond our petty concepts of gender or something and then they go write the doctor as a misogynist!
Not really. Its heavily exaggerated, but it was fairly in character.
Gracepoint was the U.S. remake of Broadchurch. Chris Chibnall wrote a few DWs before this and was the main showrunner on the first two seasons of Torchwood. Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart was a Brigadier (often referred to as simply "the Brigadier"), not a Brigadier General; his modern equivalent is his daughter, Kate, and Archie is his Great Uncle.
Chris Chibnall has written Dr Who before, and he was a showrunner on Torchwood.
God I'm going to miss 12th so much.
Gracepoint is the American remake of Broadchurch which also starred Arthur Darvill (Rory) and Jodie Whitaker (the new doctor). I'd love to see your reaction to Broadchurch.

Unfortunately the shitty “fans” have arrived because they can’t just let people enjoy things. I didn’t appreciate Series 11 until my second viewing of it, and Series 12 has really blown all of that out of the water. I’m absolutely loving Jodie now. The style has changed in Doctor Who now, but once you get adjusted to it, it’s quite enjoyable. Series 12 is reminding me a lot of the Tennant era.
In what way do other people's criticisms impact on your enjoyment of the show? If you enjoy the show, all power to you but don't blame it on other people's criticisms if you're not enjoying it as much as you used to. That's the show's fault, no one else's.

So we know that now.

Also think about those Demons. So now everyone who dies not only gets scanned by the glass but also he has some demons looking at him? Getting a little bit clouded huh? Give the dead some space!
OMG I'm not ready for this, very interested in what you think of next weeks episode.
If they think the next season is even watchable they will lose all credibility lol
@Oll why the truth triggers u so much my friend?
This is a good epilogue to Twelve’s era aswell as a nice ending for Capaldi and Moffat ‘s run on the show .
As someone mentioned below , it’s a nice reflection on change , death and memories wrapped in a fun romp . Capaldi and David Bradley have good chemistry together (even though I feel like they go a bit too far with the First Doctor’s sexist attitude).
Capaldi was not my favorite Doctor but I still thoroughly enjoyed him and his arc ..from someone who was unsure he was a good man to doing the right thing because it was kind ..Goodbye 12 , we let you go!!.
I’m interested to see your thoughts on the current era... I personally find it to be the weakest of the modern run so far but I’m still looking forward to going on the journey with you all!!.
"Soon as the Doctor turned into a woman she crashed-"
I mean, we WERE all thinking that too when it happened lmao
and her screwdrivers looks like pocket vibrator
@@serafimjones Tardis was already crashing. This time it crashed cause she forgot how to drive. Context matters.
Goodbye 12 You will always be my favorite Doctor! And get ready because Season 11... Well it's gonna be a rough one.
This regeneration hit me the hardest T_T
Me too, we lost the Doctor.
Yep...
All downhill from here
Ah yes! Been waiting! Can't wait for Melron's reaction to the new episode too :3
Doco56 Yeah, its the first time I’ve been excited to see their reaction to a Chibnall/Whitaker episode because up to now they have truly sucked!
@@keithwatson1384 Season 12 is really good so far.
@@keithwatson1384 Not true at all
Crazy4Comics What’s not true? Maybe you liked it but I wasn’t too keen.
@@keithwatson1384 Fair enough however you were stating that they were awful like it was factual not an opinion, so I'm disagreeing with that statement
Now I just hope the comments section will remain classy with the next season! I really love Jodie even if her first season wasn’t great and I wish people would be able to respect everyone’s opinion. I’m sure Blindwave will continue to give us fair reviews.
Series 11 was one of my least favorite seasons, but I still adored it nonetheless! And Series 12 is shaping up to be one of my favorites of all time! (And I have seen every episode of Classic Who, too!)
So hopefully people stop spouting how bad the new era is when they have made vast improvements lately in my opinion. Doctor Who has still got it!
God season 11 was bad and 12 isnt much better at all. I really hope thet fire the current writer and get in a better one who can actually write an enjoyable story that dosent really on bringing back old villains.
Only they will we be able to see Jodie show her amazing acting skills
Duolingo The aren’t during anyone, and like the Sonic movie, this studio is actually listening to the fans. I hated Series 11 during my first viewing, but upon rewatching it I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, especially Demons of the Punjab. And Series 12 has actually been pretty amazing. It’s not just relying on old villains, but bringing them back has always been a part of the show, and at least all of Series 11 was completely original. Some fans will just never be satisfied, I guess. The Lone Cyberman was actually very well done and the creepiest by far, and you can’t be mad at Fugitive of the Judoon when it brought Captain Jack fucking Harkness, which has been long overdue.
@@Martin-rh6bn That's the trouble with glitter (Capt. Jack) sprinkled on a turd (S12), it's still a turd. But hey, it's glitter, right?! Everyone loves glitter!
What I've always liked about this episode is how subtle it is in bringing back elements from past Capaldi storylines. Of course, all of his companions returning is kind of obvious. Additionally, though, the Testimony creating a sort of afterlife is similar to Missy's afterlife storyline from season 8 and the manner in which the Testimony operates by freezing people in time just before they die is evocative of Clara's fate at the end of season 9. Rusty making his return is not only a call back to Capaldi's second episode as The Doctor, but it also helps make Rusty a possibility for being the so-called "hybrid" mentioned throughout season 9 (since Rusty is a Dalek who had his mind temporarily linked with The Doctor and as a result inherited The Doctor's hatred of the Daleks, thus making him a hybrid of sorts of a Dalek and The Doctor). The Captain saluting The Doctor is a call back to the Cyberman who is presumed to be the Brigadier-General saluting The Doctor at the end of season 8.
SHEEEEEEE'S HEEEEEEERE!!!!!!! (I'm surprised Shane didn't say "I hate her!")
Give it time.
@@mekonta I was about to say the exact same things mate
It's nice to come back and watch Moffat Who, before the dark times... Before the Timeless Child...
It's gonna be interesting in a couple of months they'll be actually caught up to where Doctor Who currently is and they can do polls and QnA's and stuff
Disappointing that Murray Gold's departure was not referenced by the guys. Love Capaldi he was a brilliant Doctor, arguably the best actor to ever play the character and such a lovely man in real life. Moffat's time was up but he had given so much to the show that I Am eternally grateful for. His final interviews with Cristel on Doctor Who The Fan show were very revealing into his experience as showrunner (Pt1 ruclips.net/video/iBwBlwGbVaA/видео.html Pt2 ruclips.net/video/ZOfIIqb8Uhg/видео.html Pt3 ruclips.net/video/bTRfKmVqdjo/видео.html
Aaron sighs during the regeneration. "Here we go again." 🙃
Mark Gatiss also wrote An Adventure in Space and Time
He was also Danny Boy from the Churchill episode and that chess player in the ‘shock chess’ or whatever it was! He’s written loads of Doctor Who episodes! And of course he co produced Sherlock with Moffat
@@keithwatson1384 Lazarus too 😀
The_Judge_ Yeah, but they mentioned that one in the reaction so I didn’t bother mentioning that one!
@@keithwatson1384 Ah, my bad !!
The_Judge_ No prob.
Farewell to my favorite of all of the Doctors.
It'd be interesting if you reacted to the three-part Steven Moffat interview that the BBC uploaded on its channel after this episode was aired. It clarifies many aspects of his run, such as River Song, the 50th, Capaldi's choice, giving up the show after a long run... I think the gang would enjoy it and it'd also help y'all understand some important aspects of the last 6 seasons.
Welcome to Thirteen. I’m sorry for what you’re about to experience.
She has a couple of good eps, but that's literally it. A couple.
Shaky thus far. Mostly a writing thing. I liked Rosa and some others. Fugitive ep not bad.
I'm sure they'll survive... just.
for season 13 they will need a bigger table. they should be caught up with melron by then so they need to shove up and make room for melanie lol.
michael jeacock I was thinking the same thing

Even Naruto on the back, can't believe the first Doctor said that !
Her being a woman who cares her keeping her Yorkshire accent is everything!!!
It would be so cool if Classic Doctor Who eventually wins a poll. I really want them to watch Tenth Planet.
I don't think this was mentioned, but the whole thing about when you can hear the Doctor's name is something Peter Capaldi came up with on the spot at a convention, and then Steven Moffat incorporated it into the speech because it was just so good.
Absolutely loved Shane's thoughts and insightful comments...Oh wait 😂
😂
12th will always be My Doctor.
It's been one hell of a journey folks, I can't believe we're almost caught up!
Almost there.
Get ready for the Chibnall era... the greatest era the show's ever had! They're gonna love all the interesting characters and intricate story lines!
XD
hahahah niiice
12th Doctor: One more lifetime won't kill anyone
The Doctor Who franchise:
sarcasm is strong with this one
LOL, I see what you did there.
Broadchurch is a great show containing two Doctors and a companion.
And Olivia Colman (she made a guest appearance in The Eleventh Hour).
Rania Lian oh yes, I was trying to remember if she was on Doctor Who.
I love the smell of Nepotism in the morning.
I've meet david bradly in real life and been in a film with him (our parts were filmed seperatly), he is friend's with the godfather of a friend of mine from university, who also directed the film, so at the premier, I actually meet him. Such a nice and pleasent man.
The funny thing is that fans of the first doctor DESPISE this episode
Some other fans, too, mostly jumping on the "OMG, they made him a misogynist" bandwagon. There's maybe a handful of times where The First Doctor makes an old-fashioned comment, but that doesn't make him a sexist. It's quite obvious that the lines are only there for comedic effect - more for the Doctor/Bill to react to than for Bradley's character as such - and I'm quite happy to take them on those terms.
I hate the term bandwagon
Just because a opinion is popular doesn’t mean it’s invalid
But apart from that I agree
@@oliverbennett8515 Perhaps "bandwagon" was the wrong word. I'm not questioning the validity of the opinion, just that the extremity of someone's response to a given episode can be coloured by a desire to conform with their peer group. It's a well-attested psychological phenomenon, so it's only to be expected I guess.
You guys should react to The Five-ish Doctors.
1:26 did shane forget that the master got shot and chose not to regenerate and died? 🤔
@@bigfatcarp93 unfortunate
@@GamingGamer22 i mean can you blame him
Its been over a year and abit since they watched it
@@marshymooo9312 true, I guess my brain is just better at remembering random information
Jodie Whittaker was a major character in the TV Show 'Broadchurch', was in the 'Black Mirror' episode called "The Entire History of You", was in the Great movie 'Attack the Block' with John Boyega & Franz Drameh (Jefferson Jackson (a.k.a. Firestorm) from Legends of Tomorrow) .
The end of an Era
Oxygen wouldn’t have been the 700th episode. The first doctors regeneration story was 709 episodes ago, not the very first episode. The first episode would have been 125 episodes before that, so 834 episodes ago at this point. May sound like a lot but bear in mind classic who stories were serialised and normally split between 4, 6, or even up to 10, 20 min episodes. As of today there have been 856 tv episodes. Not to mention about a billion big finish audio plays.
Paul L S - I think there was even a twelve parter. The Daleks‘ Master Plan, series 3 (Google yeah). And Trial of a Time Lord could POSSIBLY be counted as a 14 parter, but is more commonly seen as three 4-parters and one 2-parter.
The last Doctor Who Episode, RIP Doctor, I let you go.
Can't wait till series 12:)
@@jeckjeck3119 Still waiting for series 12. They better wrap up that tumblr fanfiction they keep airing recently tho...
RIP Doctor Who!
@@Pir-o
Series 12 ended.... And it was awesome!
The only real complaints about jodie whittaker (no idea how to spell her name and really don’t care) being the next doctor was the extreme politicization of her doctor. The show has gotten more and more political as it went on, like most shows do sadly, but they went from inching forward to launching miles at a time. Very very few complaints about jodie’s doctor were about her being a woman. It’s been known in new Who since Matt Smith was on that Time Lord eating planet that Time Lords could change sex during a regeneration. The ONLY reason the only complaint most people know about is the doctor changing from a man to a woman is because that’s the only thing the media, actors, and staff talked about to try to paint fans as sexist bigots that hate women.
To be fair to that extreme minority though, I understand why they would have a problem with the doctor changing into a woman. The doctor has always been a man, so there’s no reason to change that. Then there are the companions. Up until Clara, every new doctor has had an attractive female companion that wound up being a bit of a love interest. If you have a female doctor, 95% of people are going to assume if there is a new love interest, it’s gonna be a dude, with quite a few hoping it won’t be a dude and she will be a lesbian. 4.99% just don’t care and the last .01% is woke and doesn’t want to “assume her sexuality”.
And this is it. The final episode. No more Doctor Who. It's been an honour and a pleasure. I subbed to your channel fairly early on, around season 2 or so, and have enjoyed your reactions for all these years. I'm still looking forward to your other shows, but, finally, Doctor Who is done.
