I came to this video after your Asus horror story. I just want to say the obvious, on a Mac, forget about calling that friend to recover your files if it dies on you. I personally do not make any laptop without removale storage, my main computer.
Yes, thanks...my big thing is video editing with the Mac and I edit from an external drive and back up all my files, so hopefully I'm ok if it happens to die.
@@ScooterMediaVideos thanks for the reply. One thought. If these machines are so important for your workflow why not add them to your home insurance policy. In those cases you submit the claim for the repair cost (2800 for the asus), the insurance pays and you get your machine repaired. No?
@@DanielRodriguez-fg5ll to be honest I have no idea how that works and I imagine if you put in a claim or two then they'll raise your home insurance and then you're not really any further ahead.
