Magne gets his powers back. Hammer scene. Ragnarok season 2, episode 6. As he takes his hammer, he is confronted by Laurits, who realizes that Magne lied to him. Magne leaves anyway and awakens the hammer, causing his powers to return.
Wenche (portrayed by Eli Anne Linnestad) was a recurring character in the Netflix Original Series Ragnarok. She was a mysterious woman who provided Magne Seier with his powers.
As storms rage in the skies again, the news of the Jutuls' victory enrages Magne, who discovers that it was lightning that created Thor. As he takes his hammer, he is confronted by Laurits, who realizes that Magne lied to him.
Magne leaves anyway and awakens the hammer, causing his powers to return. At Jutulheim, Fjor and Ran find out that Saxa gave the key to Laurits and confront her, before leaving to kill Laurits. Turid goes on a date with Erik. Magne comes to Jutulheim to face Fjor, only to find an injured Saxa there. Saxa offers to help Magne and they end up having intimate relations. Elsewhere, Fjor is about to kill Laurits when he says that he possesses the only thing that can kill Magne. As they are about to leave, Magne appears in front of them and attacks them with Mjolnir, but they escape. As the episode ends, Laurits releases Jörmungandr in the water as Ran and Fjor watch by the shore.
Magne, Wotan, Iman and Harry, accompanied by Halvor, set out to Jutul Industries. Magne tricks Laurits into giving him the key to unlock the old warehouse where the ancient forge was located. Wotan distracts the guards while the others sneak into the warehouse. The guards inform Fjor and he sets out to the old warehouse. In the Warehouse, Iman keeps guard while Magne and Harry, along with Halvor manage to locate the ancient forge and start crafting Mjolnir. Meanwhile, Iman and Harry engage in a fight with Fjor who overpowers them and severely injures Harry. They manage to craft Mjolnir and Magne returns home while the others get caught. As a result, Iman and Halvor are fired from the hospital. Magne tries throwing the hammer, but his powers don't return. At Jutulheim, Fjor is pissed that tax authorities have an upper hand. Saxa suggests to appeal emotionally rather than rationally. Magne notices the pet in Laurits' room. Fjor organises a press conference and says that they will be moving their production abroad. The Norway government intervenes and allows them to continue their production in Edda. Turid gets a new job at the supermarket.
In the aftermath of all this, Laurits releases the world serpent into the wild, giving it a little parting smooch, which is weird. Ran and Fjor look on, watching him, as his eyes glow amber and blue, one for the gods and one for the giants. He has become as unique as he wanted to be, and he smiles as Ragnarok season 2, episode 6. Ragnarok is a Norwegian-language fantasy drama series inspired by Norse mythology from Netflix that premiered on 31 January 2020. It is Netflix's third Norwegian-language TV series, following Home for Christmas and Lilyhammer. The series is produced by the Danish production company SAM Productions. The second season of the show was released on Netflix on May 27, 2021. A teaser trailer for the second season was revealed on May 10, 2021

The best part about the build up to this is Magne, was the same guy without his powers; He kept going after people he knew he couldn't beat but he did what was right because it was right, powers or no powers.

Also he risked being killed as a mortal who intentionally struck by lightning! At the end it was clear lightning made the thor a god but most importantly it was aggressive spark that ignited in his heart!
Magne is Thor's Reincarnation. Thus he was never human to begin with. With or without his abilities and powers, he's still a God. For that is what fate, destiny and the universe wanted and needed him to be. And so his human parents were merely just vessels to bring Magne into existence and to bring Thor back to life.

Like in s1 AND s2 they made it clear he's basically Peter Parker but thor, but in s3 why FORGOT about his blindness... Which is why i think s3 is not written by the original directors.

The show is so well written, everyone connects with Norse mythos so beautifully that it's getting addicting to watch, Specially the actors were amazing at their job made it one of the most likeable show.

Ragnarok is laughable bad and possibly the worst series I've encountered in year's.
I'll admit when I first saw the headlines a while back that Netflix was developing a series titled 'Ragnarok', for some reason I got the impression it was going to be a Vikings-esque historical-fiction drama, based on Norse mythology. Ooooooh boy do I wish it was something like that and not the huge disappointment that this teen driven drama turned out to be. But after 2 episodes of this shit, I'm out!
Norwegian TV shows are often excellent at giving us realistically or genuine portrayals of teenagers, high schools and the typical mundane life and for a good part of the opening episode Ragnarok is no different. It gives us a genuine look and feel of a typical small town, but unfortunately that is a minor/temporary upside. The show attempts to blend this effortless realism with very straightforward supernatural elements, and the outcome is hideous. With very cheap looking visual EFX and CGI you'd think the supernatural scenes here would be done subtly and infrequently, but Ragnarok does the opposite, seemingly putting more focus on their weakest element as they do more and more horrid looking CGI scenes.
The pacing fares no better. From the episodes I've seen the show struggles to decide whether it wants to rush to the point of its story or be a sloth about it. You can see this from the first 5 minutes of the series. The writing lies somewhere between mediocre and atrocious and the main actor and a majority of the cast are so bland they recite their lines with no emotion whatsoever.
As for the mythology side of things, You'll probably spend half the run-time of of episode 1 trying to figure out if our main character Magne and his brother are suppose to represent Thor and Loki. And they seemingly are as it is made so obvious from Magne throwing a hammer at the end of episode 1 and again in episode 2. Well if that's the case, this series isn't based on original Norse mythology but instead based on Marvel's version of Norse mythology, and it's the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in a TV series. Loki is Odin's blood-oath brother which makes him Thor's uncle, not his brother! It is very loathsome to see a Norwegian series of all things follow a comic book series instead of their own cultural myths and folklore.
Ragnarok is a mess of a series and even the premise, what is supposedly a 'fight between mythological gods and giants' sounds like madness within the series itself. It tires to present itself as a stern, gloomy drama but ends up being disjointed and even comical at times. And if my words aren't enough to convince you of how bad the series actually is, check out this uncanny dance scene from episode 2.

This scene was so satisfying after the tired old 'hero loses his powers trope' we see in every superhero show. The only comparable scenes are Old Merlin using chain lightning at Camlan in series finale of 'Merlin' and Merlin regaining his powers at the end of 'Cursed'. All scenes involve lightning lol.
Ragnarok is such a good show, it had better be renewed for season 3.

Finished watching this and its a great show! But the ending just wasn't enough for me knowing they're still around plotting behind Magnes back even though they're no match for him!
Seriously now that he has his hammer and his strength back he can probably take the giants all by himself.

@Crimson The Thunder Knight no way Molner was totally “off” during this season, he clearly bulked up between the two seasons and came off as too aggressive sometimes, then they got rid of his love interest and the plot line deadpanned it was anti-climactic, the “new gods” that joined were useless filler roles

I remember seeing this and was like nah not my cup of tea. Never a fan of most foreign movies. But boy was I wrong after a few episodes in!

this scene was perfect and i can’t quite pin down exactly why it’s so perfect - the lightning and the sound of the lightning, clouds and color of the sky, the music, and some other elements i can figure out combine to make something special. this show is strange that way
I also think the transition of the electricity played a part. Like first he's "absorbing" the lightning to activate Mjolnir. But then releases all that lightning back out with more power. Idk it's cool af.
In the finale of "The OA" season 2 there is a really cool moment where it has the "main character activates their powers" moment and the lights all flicker followed by thunder. I know that doesn't do it justice but it has that same progression effect.

I just finished both seasons this morning and boy when Magne entered Jutulheim’s home along with the hammer and when he set it down..holy shit you can hear how heavy and powerful Thor’s Hammer is😳that can crush a skull wide open that hammer ain’t playing!💯💯💯👊🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I'm re-watching this now. Can't wait for season 3. Shows like this, Teen Wolf (the MTV series specifically) and the original Charmed from the 90's are some of the shows I enjoy that aren't anime lol. I'm also a lifelong Trekkie. Been watching Star Trek DS9 for the first time via Paramount+.

@@AdolphHItler-rs1wi I never said it’s okay for a mythology show to not have action, My point is like people will focus on action and Only want action, so when it’s more story telling then actual action people bash it or turn the other way because they expected more action than story telling. With This Show Ragnarok, it all comes down to the route they’re going with it and plus The budget the show has, I think it’s perfect the way they’re doing it it’s balanced out in my opinion, but most likely Season 3 will have probably more action than story telling because I mean they built it to that point and that’s fine they told the story well so now maybe they can do a slight more action sequences
