In this video I want to show you how to sound similar to Hysteria by Muse with affordable guitar pedals and amps. Matt Bellamy is well known for having an amazing guitar tone and playing with really expensive gear, but today I want to share with you the pedals and settings I use to achieve a similar sound to live versions. (I forgot to mention that everything I show you, including guitar, amp and pedals are second handed gear. Nothing is brand new).

is it possible to get this sound on guitat with three single pickups?
Sure!! You have a stratocaster, right? try to play the final riff of the song witht the neck pickup and you will see that it sounds sooo good! Almost like ratm style. I have a guitar with single pickup in the neck now and it sounds amazing!
For the rest of the song, bridge pickup will do the job just right!
@ Thats great! Couse its a long story, I wanted to buy les paul, but when I came to guitar shop and had a talk with guy working there, knowing A lot about guitars, i decided to take stratocaster even tho i didnt want stratocaster, i wanted this one specific I saw in store because it was great guitar and the guy said it will be better for me than les paul etc..and when I tried to play at home I got upset and was afraid I wont get the spund I want bc everyone plays on les paul songs I want to learn.
@@m.feniks Oh, man! I know exactly how you feel. People who work at guitar shops are always the same in every country I think and they recommend you something based on their expierence without knowing what you want and it is hard to say no. Similar things have happened to me in the past. I've owned a strat in the past. In fact, it was my first electric guitar and I wanted to play with humbuckers. After many years I realized that many songs that sound very heavy or distorted were actually recorded on a strat (Muse is agreat example) and they play humubckers in concert. So that's why now I own a guitar with both a single pickup and a humbucker to get best of both worlds. I think you should experiment with your guitar and if you really want humbuckers in the future let your ear guide you :D

@ Im about to get les paul for humbuckers in future but i didnt find one I really wanted in the stores, and The strat I bough, was becouse it was the only strat that i liked by design, it has great brand pickups and good quality with very low price bc the Brand of guitsr don't exist anymore and this guitar dont have more "copies"(idk how to say it) according to The guy who seld me it,so it was worth it. Oh and the guy was my moms friend, thats why I trusted him with technical knowledge, but decision I made was not bc he was "convincing" me. So if I can get the sound i want with that guitar, I will be as glad as ever. Thank you so much for your words!
