Fun fact: the man that dips out with his margaritas when the flying dinos attack was Jimmy Buffet, he had a deal with universal to feature his restaurant Margaritaville.
Just in case it wasn't made clear enough on the screen, the T-Rex "hero" at the end was, in fact, the T-Rex from the very first movie. There are moments that you can see the scars she got from the raptors in the climax of that first film. The two old-school Jeeps they showed are also DIRECTLY from the first film. That introduction scene, where everyone arrives at the island, the Jeep that Hammond and the lawyer were riding in was 29, the one the boys fixed up and drove off in this movie. Jeep 18, that Owen and Claire were hiding behind was the Jeep that Alan and Ellie were riding in when they saw the dinos for the first time. Those (and many other) connections are some of the smartest things Colin Trevorrow and his team did for this film.
So fun fact, helicopters can glide too. They use something called an auto rotation to glide safely to the ground then use the momentum of the the blades to flare right before they land to slow to a safe landing speed. Helicopter landings under no power conditions are arguably safer than planes landing with no engines.
A helicopter is more safe than a plane in an engine-out situation since the helicopter can auto-rotate and land in a tiny spot where as a plane needs a runway. But on average you are much safer in a plane. The stats are around 1.44 heli vs 0.011 plane. For fatal accidents per 100,000 flying hours.
28:20 with "On Your Left" and the random cut ins of the Avengers theme had me dying. As always a great reaction video. I like this movie a lot. Never understood all of the hate it got.
For me seeing this movie involved a lot of screams and tears. Just before the movie came out my older sister got her wisdom teeth pulled, and I was the only one home all day to take care of her,and as a thank you for taking care of her she took me to see this movie.
There was so much funny things Holden did for This one it’s ridiculous 😂. The Mercedes logo. The “on your left” and to top it off “we did it guys, we saved the city” when it’s all destroyed 😂😂. I couldn’t stop laughing at that part. Love the content guys! Hope your wedding ends up being awesome along with the honeymoon.
I really loved the part when Henry is explaining to Masrani how the dinosaurs we see in the park aren't visibly what actually existed. What we see is what most people imagine dinosaurs as and they explain how a lot of their genetic template is missing so modern day species are used to fill the gaps in the genetic code.
This came out after all the “dinosaurs had feathers” and “Spinosaurus wasn’t what was depicted in JP3”, so it was the easiest way to explain away why they look like “theme park monsters”, and why they took it to the next level with hybrids.
Fun deep lore fact: masrani took control of ingen from Hammond before the events of jurassic park 3. His team started using the lab on site b to make brand new dinos, which is why in JP3 you see strange looking raptors and a spinosaurus. Pretty sure a hurricane comes through and they have to evacuate but that's why site b had new stuff
This movie was liked fine enough, some like it for the solid fun, others don't because of how corporate it comes across, by the numbers blockbuster franchise movie, being another "eh" sequel to a classic. The boys carer, Zara, to this day, does not deserve that death, especially when they ran off, and much worse characters got off lighter. Saying it did well was kinda understatement, it made 208 million in it's opening weekend, and 1.6 Billion dollars overall, beating The Avengers opening record and taking it's spot as third highest grossing film of all time... Until Force Awakens months later blasted by it.
I think the criticism towards Zara's death is kinda strange. The actress, Katie McGrath, has the honor of being the first female death in the Jurassic film series, and not only that but it's one of the best, creative, and memorable death scenes. It should be seen as an honor and nothing else. If we really want to talk about undeserving deaths, let's talk about Eddy from The Lost World. Or let's talk about Muldoon from the original film. Hell, let's talk about everyone who was killed that had no ill intent including Zara.
Imagine having a whole island of building sized dinosaurs and an emergency fast response team is just a bunch of guys with electric spears and a few 12 gauge shotguns. What could possibly go wrong?
Side note: Helicopters float to the ground with autorotation when they lose power, they don't just drop out of the sky. This is probably the real reason we don't ever hear about helicopter crashes.
Absolutely loved the "On your left" as Blue runs in. I like this movie, it's a sold popcorn movie. The original JP is the best in the series but, for me, this is 2nd place. Love the inclusion of the Mosasaurus in this one. Unfortunately I had it's moment of killing the I-Rex spoiled for me about an hour before I saw this at the cinema but I know it would have been the highlight if I'd seen it cold. Also, minor point: the long-necked dinosaurs that the I-Rex kills are Apatosaurus.

In an engine malfunction, you can let the rotors glide in the wind as you drop. Since they are essentially spinning wings, it'll have a corkscrew effect to fall at a slower rate. It'll still hurt, but definitely makes it survivable.
The marketing team went into overdrive for this movie. Before it’s release the park had a website to buy tickets, park maps, real stores and restaurants with park specific merch and menus, webcams, ride wait times, hotels, weather.😂😂
I like this one. It's my favorite after the original. Each sequel to this point used cool things that were omitted from the books later than they did in those 2 books. Lost World went right up to my favorite part of the book (the part with the raptors) but instead of a raptor showdown, in the book the raptors wouldn't go in the area with the buildings. The reason was a dinosaur (not Indominous) that turned out to have camouflage ability. Such an awesome moment in the book and I actually exclaimed "YES!!!" in the theater when the Indominous had the ability. I'd been waiting for that since The Lost World.
At 6:45 it’s from the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie. Peter comes in from fighting the Goblin in the burning building and Norman and Aunt May have that conversation as they go in his room.

He and is whole crew survived the crash but had to wait for rescue because they didn’t know if they landed in a field filled with IEDs
27:53 I like the T-Rex smashing through the Spinosaurus skeleton like "i'm still better than you!" even after the dirty neck snap the Spinosaurus did to the T-Rex in JP-III. I feel this movie did some good homage to the original while also taking it forward with all the DNA splicing.
I don't care what anyone thinks, Holden's dirty little jokes have me cackling every single time. Cutely saying horrible things about the dogs is about equally hilarious. I think we just have the same dumbass humor. We are here for it.
7:14 when I was a teenager, some guy crashed his self-made helicopter in my neighborhood. He crash-landed it on the same street as a family whose lawn I mowed and I could see the marks on the asphalt and sidewalk for weeks. Amazingly, no one got hurt, not even the pilot. Now I'm an aerospace engineer, and I have to agree with Holden on this one, I'll take a plane over a helicopter any day!
I mean... there was just a 737 out in China that dropped out of the sky like a missile. Helicopters, so long as it's right side up should have the auto-rotation of the rotors, which SHOULD slow its descent some. But no matter what way you swing it, plane and copter crashes are both equally dangerous with the potential for massive destruction.
@@TheBlackbirdFly but if the helo rotor blades are damaged then it won't be a slow descent, it'll just crash. Any aircraft, plane or helicopter, nose diving towards the ground without control will crash. An engine failure won't cause a plane to immediately fall out of the sky, however. It will glide. An airplane and a helicopter having equal chances of crashing is technically incorrect. In terms of a crash both being equally as dangerous is also incorrect.
@@thechh8297 @The Chh I did clarify that if the helicopter falls right side up that the rotors SHOULD go into auto-rotation and slow the descent (note that I emphasized 'should'). I figured that damage to the rotors would prevent them from working properly and would prevent auto-rotation was common sense, which is why I didn't mention it. I didn't say that they have equal chances of crashing, nor did I say planes couldn't glide to a relatively safe landing as it's happened multiple times. They are equally dangerous in a general sense however... depending on where they land and how they land, the speed at which they are moving, and the angle/trajectory of their descent. If either one lands out in the wilderness, there will be no human casualties (besides the people on the vehicle) either way unless some VERY unlucky hiker/hunter just so happens to be there. Both could, however result in wildfires that could lead to additional deaths if not controlled. If one or the other crashes in a populated area, they have a much higher chance of casualties (though the copter is less likely to cause casualties depending on where it lands in said populated area). Most people in the aircraft could die or be seriously injured unless they somehow get lucky or the integrity of the plane/copter is stable AND the pilot(s) is able to control the descent. There's a lot of variables you have to take into account that will obviously change your chances of survival and their destructive results, so I stand by what I said.
The original spiderman the conversation between norman and aunt may in peters room. This was my favorite scene and the goblin felt the most menacing here.
The T-rex in this movie is the same one from the first Jurassic Park movie her name is Rexy by this point in Jurassic world she quite an old dinosaur but still strong enough to hunt and kill She will will appear in fallen Kingdom and dominion
This movie is set on Isla Nublar 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park 1 when Hammond decides not to build the park, The park has been a very successful park for 15 years prior to this movie under another company as John Hammond has died from cancer just after Lost World Jurassic Park
Helicopters got a thing called autorotation when the engine fails and the rotor is disconnected from the engine, it relies on upward flowing wind, you might get down a bit faster than with a functioning engine, but you're more likely to make it than just crash.
"He's kind of a slob isn't he?" "All brilliant men are" is from Spider-Man when Norman and May go up to Peter's room on Thanksgiving. Right before the blood drop scene.
I loved this movie,it's really fun. One of my favorite parts is when you see kids being able to ride a baby triceratops. If this was a real thing I would love to have a chance to do that.
I saw this in the theater in IMAX. The part I remember most was the 3D scaling they used on a couple scenes was way off. When the helicopter landed on the hill in the foreground with the park city in the background, the helicopter looked like it was sized as a toy. The eye separation wasn't right. The lake creature grabbing Indominus was cool, too.
Could that be a system problem if the projector alignment was off? IMAX uses a double image system (two projectors) and it requires actual alignment. I think I saw this in IMAX 3D and don't remember any scaling issues. But maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
Actually, when an helicopter had an engine failure he didnt just fall from the sky, the inertia of the rotors help him glide into a controled landing thats called auto-rotation.
Exactly, and Holden's comment about how helicopters operate was totally inaccurate and I was pretty disappointed in his comment. I totally respect the fact that he may never want to travel in one but should learn how the dynamics of helicopter flight works before making that kind of comment (and yes, as a helicopter pilot I was shocked by that statement!)
how old are you? not for insult, curious because it is not something normal people know, it is something you learn with time lol I found out5 y ago, before that i also thought they were F#¤%¤#
@@Belnick6666 I'm actually 44, but the whole auto-rotation thing i've learn that about 30 years ago, just watching some documentary, and they talk about it in the "blue thunder" movie. ^^
If you likedJP World I recommend watching Camp Cretaceous on Netflix. The story runs parallel to the movie and is about kids going to camp at the island. The show is aimed at older kids but is definitely above the average kids show.
6:44 sam raimi Spider-Man 1 ( osborn in peter’s bedroom before the blood drips ) 🕷🕷 I love the first film in each Jurassic trilogy, i love the first Jurassic park and jurassic world put im not a fan of what follows, im excited for the new film this summer tho
Jen being so invested in the wellness of CGI dinosaurs was one of my favorite parts, beside Holden stealing Jen's lines. TBH I missed "is it a fish?" When the water dinosaur showed up to eat that poor shark.
The scene with the raptor glaring at the kid by the fence reminds me so much of the Spongebob camping episode where the seabear points at them like "Next time, b*tches!" and it's absolutely hillarious!!!
The Indominus Rex is actually made to symbolize the consumer and corporate excess in both movies and in this universe. Colin Trevorrow has stated that they didn't want to have another Spinosaurus problem, but yet they thought it would be fitting to have a huge genetic monster Dinosaur be the baddy in a modern day sequel.
omg the editing for when blue shows back up in the last fight and it's falcon saying "on your left" with the avengers theme in the background SENT me. that was toooo funny!
Absolutely love this movie. It will always have a special place in my heart, because it has been 14 years since Jurassic Park III when this came out. Such a long wait and we got to see how the Park would've looked like if it actually opened. Also love that the T-Rex in this and the World sequels is the same one that was in Jurassic Park 1. Love that continuity.
It's actually opposite in terms of losing power for planes and helicopters. Planes glide until they go too slow then they drop like a rock when there's no more lift. Helicopters rotors get unlocked when there's no more power and they go into "Autorotation" and glide down more gently than any plane gliding without power would. Of course if the rotors are gone, then you're f*cked but you can say the same about a plane's wings. But in terms of "dropping like a rock". there's more chance of that on a plane than a helicopter. Basically, saying Helicopters would drop like a rock is similar to saying the earth is only 6000 years old or that the earth is flat.
Watched this with my dad in the theater and I was blown away! It made $1.6 billion dollars at the box office against a $150 million dollar budget, making it the highest grossing JURASSIC PARK movie and the second highest grossing movie of 2015, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which made $2 billion dollars! Critics said that, "Even though this film doesn't capture the awe or imagination of the original JURASSIC PARK, it does give us what we always wanted: the ultimate popcorn summer thrill ride."
Fun fact! The t-Rex in this movie is the same one from the first movie , you can see the scars the raptors gave her at the end of the movie, her name is REXY and she’s in the second one as well and I’m thinking she’ll be in the third one hopefully!
@@maleficking6556 idk I like to think it gives rexy a tiny beat of character development lol, you knows she’s been through stuff and kinda root for her to win things. @@lvstinger5838 I get the intention but is there actual development there? @@maleficking6556 I can get that, idk I liked the added little touch. I mean with the trex from the first movie being such a phenomenon it was. And your right rexy isn’t all that significant but now that she’s in both Jurassic worlds she has grown to be significant as a “character”

20:47 "One of these days I want that to happen in a movie and the gate doesn't open. They just, like, crash into it." It happened in the pilot episode of Angel, 'City of...' Angel is inside the mansion saving Cordelia from the vampire oligarch and Quinn tries to crash through the gate but the gate is too strong so the car bounces off it.
Seeing a car try to ram a gate and fail would be so funny. The only film in recent memory that came close to that idea was in Logan when he tried driving through the fence and it didn’t work initially. Added a nice touch of realism
- Despite any real plan to reaquire the raptors should the indomnious hunt have gone successfully, this is still my 2nd favorite Jurassic Park movie after the original. - 20:23 - I love how hard(man) Holden works to get DIS-engaged sometimes 😄. - Apparently the margarita guy WAS Jimmy Buffet himself in a cameo. - I only realized recently that the babysitting asst who can’t catch a break in this movie also played Lana Luthor on SUPERGIRL.
Right? The crime of "looking after the kids you were put in charge of." I wish the youngest one died, then I wouldn't have cared as much. Always afraid to kill kids for some reason.

Boston's timing with the dinosaur impression after "Welcome to Jurassic World" was impeccable. 5:10
Zara's Death was Awesome and Dramatic at the Same Time!
“All brilliant men are.” Spider-Man 1. C’mon Holden, give us a challenge.
The original spiderman the conversation between norman and aunt may in peters room. This was my favorite scene and the goblin felt the most menacing here.
Jen: “DID HE DIE?!?!?!”
Holden in a action hero type voice: “Looks that way babe 😎”
Quote was from spiderman. Ah, Willem Dafoe. So glad he went above and beyond to reprise his role.
The T-rex in this movie is the same one from the first Jurassic Park movie her name is Rexy by this point in Jurassic world she quite an old dinosaur but still strong enough to hunt and kill
She will will appear in fallen Kingdom and dominion
The killing of that hot assistant is arguably the nastiest and ruthless in the franchise.
She didn’t deserve it
Fun Fact: The T-Rex is the same T-Rex from the first Jurassic Park film in which the fans call her Rexy
I loved this movie,it's really fun. One of my favorite parts is when you see kids being able to ride a baby triceratops. If this was a real thing I would love to have a chance to do that.
6:43 THATS FROM SPIDER-MAN 1! I never thought me being able to recite that movie word for word came into use
21:21 I think we can all agree the real hero is actually Jimmy Buffett (of Margaritaville) saving the margaritas with both hands.
I like how this entire movie is just an excuse for Holden to reveal to us his deep-seated fear of helicopters.
Actually, when an helicopter had an engine failure he didnt just fall from the sky, the inertia of the rotors help him glide into a controled landing thats called auto-rotation.
made me hard reeeee on the screen :D
Exactly, and Holden's comment about how helicopters operate was totally inaccurate and I was pretty disappointed in his comment. I totally respect the fact that he may never want to travel in one but should learn how the dynamics of helicopter flight works before making that kind of comment (and yes, as a helicopter pilot I was shocked by that statement!)
@@jimgassor8473 I can't imagine being disappointed by something that isn't well known
how old are you? not for insult, curious because it is not something normal people know, it is something you learn with time lol I found out5 y ago, before that i also thought they were F#¤%¤#
Blue is like Captain America in this. "I can do this all day."
6:44 sam raimi Spider-Man 1 ( osborn in peter’s bedroom before the blood drips ) 🕷🕷
I love the first film in each Jurassic trilogy, i love the first Jurassic park and jurassic world put im not a fan of what follows, im excited for the new film this summer tho
Ok, that "On your left" edit made me bust out laughing, nice one!
The comedic timing between you two can honestly be great aha
“On your left” edit was great
It's funny how jen's thoughts are always longer then the movie script 😅
The Indominus Rex is actually made to symbolize the consumer and corporate excess in both movies and in this universe. Colin Trevorrow has stated that they didn't want to have another Spinosaurus problem, but yet they thought it would be fitting to have a huge genetic monster Dinosaur be the baddy in a modern day sequel.
Holden, I was losing it when I heard that soundbite of Samuel L Jackson from Deep Blue Sea 🤣
omg the editing for when blue shows back up in the last fight and it's falcon saying "on your left" with the avengers theme in the background SENT me. that was toooo funny!
Surprised that Holden didn't mention that that's the same kid from Iron Man 3 or did I missed it lol
Fun fact: the T-Rex is the original T-Rex from the first movie. That's why it is attracted especially to flares.
"All brilliant men are" from a very sticky thanksgiving dinner
Holden's jokes never get old during these reactions😂
Since you watched this serie, I would love to see both your reactions on the Godzilla and King Kong serie!
Wow I never realized that kingpin was in this movie, Vincent D’Onofrio has a crazy acting range.

Who the hell is us? This movie is awful and soulless

@LeoS Little Boy, My Ass!
Damn! I remember going to that Dinosaur Adventure Land as a kid! Still can’t believe we share a hometown - I miss Pensacola so much.
I really loved Michael Giacchino score in this film, he was able to retain the sense of magic the John Williams had in his score.
He's pretty good. If he's lucky, he might have a small career as a composer in Hollywood.
Every time I see a upload the amount of excitement I get you'll never understand, appreciate the uploads guys
Fun fact! The t-Rex in this movie is the same one from the first movie
, you can see the scars the raptors gave her at the end of the movie, her name is REXY and she’s in the second one as well and I’m thinking she’ll be in the third one hopefully!
Gonna be honest, never saw the appeal in that besides nostalgia bait.
@@maleficking6556 idk I like to think it gives rexy a tiny beat of character development lol, you knows she’s been through stuff and kinda root for her to win things. Also nostalgia also helps a lot, nostalgia isn’t always a bad thing. Especially when the beloved series comes back after 14 years it’s good to have a little something for the people who grew up on those movies to be like “oh wow I remember that”
@@lvstinger5838 I get the intention but is there actual development there? It's not like Blue or the Spinosaurus which had individual personalities or traits that could carry over with a specific individual, Rexy is actually less significant than the male T-Rex from The Lost World.
Also "oh wow I remember that" is like 50% of the movie.
@@maleficking6556 I can get that, idk I liked the added little touch. I mean with the trex from the first movie being such a phenomenon it was. And your right rexy isn’t all that significant but now that she’s in both Jurassic worlds she has grown to be significant as a “character”
@@lvstinger5838 I dunno I feel the World movies pretty much changed her for the worst. Now she's the T-Rex that always loses and has to be a hero.
don't be discouraged, make the video because we will always support this Chanel
28:21 was by far the funniest scene I’ve ever laughed at, like I literally started crying laughing, then at 28:50 with the deep blue sea reference and now the phantom menace reference, what a great laugh
This movie ends with the exact same evacuation that is happening at the end of 1st season of Camp Cretaceous
I feel that Jenn forgets that animals eating other animals is part of nature 🤣😂
20:47 "One of these days I want that to happen in a movie and the gate doesn't open. They just, like, crash into it."
It happened in the pilot episode of Angel, 'City of...' Angel is inside the mansion saving Cordelia from the vampire oligarch and Quinn tries to crash through the gate but the gate is too strong so the car bounces off it.
I can’t stop watching you puppies reactions haha there so cute and funny
The look of real horror on Boston's face when the shark was eaten.
Seeing a car try to ram a gate and fail would be so funny. The only film in recent memory that came close to that idea was in Logan when he tried driving through the fence and it didn’t work initially. Added a nice touch of realism
I really love this movie a lot. Great movie monster.
The assistant's death in this film got a lot of criticism when the movie came out. Her "crime" did not deserve the punishment she received.
Right? The crime of "looking after the kids you were put in charge of." I wish the youngest one died, then I wouldn't have cared as much. Always afraid to kill kids for some reason.
For whatever reason (maybe just cuz they’re both redheads?) Bryce Dallas Howard and her sister in this also play sisters in The Village.
”All brilliant men are” - A woman who was told to finish it.
it WAS fun being an extra in this movie, just lots of running & extreme heat. We had to wait until there were no clouds in the sky in direct sunlight & run for multiple takes in different directions, but would do it again.
