No problem Looking forward to this video. Hi Holden and Jen Falcon and Boston
The reason Optimus doesn't look like the other Primes is because he wasn't one of the original 13, just a descendent. After the 13 died, the title of Prime became more of a rank in the Autobots. Hence why characters like Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and Rodimus Prime all share the same title, without being one of the original ones.
Rodimus Prime is my favorite name of all the Transformers.
Your Half Right it did become a rank type of deal after the Original13 had died.... But! .... On CyberTron once a Transformer gets/earns the rank of Prime that Transformer then goes to a special place on CyberTron and receive a charge/Blast of special Energon that upgrades them and makes their punches and kicks and blasters and metal body way stronger than the other Transformers...But Since CyberTron is no more a Transformer can't 100% become a Prime...which made Optimist and the Fallen the last 2 100% Primes
@@jason42080 you're right... If I recall correctly Optimus was a simple worker on his home planet, and was named Orion Pax
Are you looking at this based on the lore in the movies or the actual comics/television shows. In most animated stories Prime's back story actually has him as one of the original 13 Primes being the last one born. This is also stated in Transformers: Covenant of Primus. The reason for his changed looks is because he chose to be reborn as Orion Pax without any prior knowledge of his life as a Prime.
@@JustMeESM In some incarnations he is but in others he's actually a Prime that chose to be reborn as Orion Pax without remembering anything about his former life.
People can say what they want about this movie and I personally don't like it that much, but the whole forest fight is maybe one of the best action sequences i've seen in any movie. Optimus dropping super badass quotes and kicking all their asses
That is a fact
“You’ll never stop at one… I’LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!” *unsheathes second Energon blade for the very first time*
This moment will always be cemented in my heart fr fr
@K Lennox you can watch hundreds of movies with a thousand shaky cam action scenes and this one will still be better. It's in the top 20 at least.
@@themoviescorelad3230 I quote the "i'll take you all on" line all the time when i'm gaming lol
Can you tell me where his hooks came from.
*Has blades, 5 seconds later, has hooks*
Jen: "They should make one where Optimus prime is evil"
Holden:😏
You mean where he's evil for literally 5 min and it has zero effect on the plot?
In the 5th movie, Optimus was brainwashed & mind-controlled by Quintessa. Hence, the purple eyes & the red mark on the right side of his face.
I was assuming he was referring to the cartoons.
You know what's funny? The 😏 emoji looks just like Holden, lmao.
I love how invested Jenn is in Optimus. It's kinda endearing seeing her so worried for him when he gets killed lol
i mean considering reactions to his g1 death it's no surprise
no matter the persons feelings about this movie the fight scenes between optimus and 3 decepticons in the forrest and optimus vs the fallen are some of the best fights in the whole franchise
The reason for Prime's flames was because when making the first movie, red was still a really hard colour to film with digital cameras, which Michael Bay knew since he has experience with shooting car commercials as you said last time. The flames and orange gradient at the front were a compromise to help the CG artists get as much red into his design for his chest and arms, while still maintaining a majority blue truck.
Loving this series and cannot wait for Dark Of The Moon, my favourite!
Not gonna do the research & just believe you lol
@@Anonymous.Throne same
That's also why Ironhide is black instead of his classic red.
Also Live Action Optimus is based/inspired on his Generation 2 version of long nose flame cab.
Credit to Steve Jablonsky for his contribution to the five Bayformers films, his music was incredible (and still is)
it whips the floor with any mcu music tbh
@@kR-qj7rw wouldnt say any but most of them probably, the music from the 3rd is ven better imo
@@TObserverT actually the 5th one has some absolute bangers for literally no reason. "Know what, I'll make a leitmotif for the fucking staff, why not? Do you one better, I'll make a leitmotif for the staff and have it be the best track in the whole movie" or "I'll set this massive action scene to somber piano music cause fuck you, it'll be awesome trust me"
Same shit as Hans Zimmer in Pirates 2 and 3. "Why don't I make two new leitmotifs for the pirates just doing random shit, and have them both be incredible" or "you know what this mythical sea creature's theme needs? Electric guitar. Because fuck you, who cares? It's pirates! It'll work bro trust me" or how he took a scene of the characters puposefully capsizing their ship and portrayed it as the most genius and awesome thing ever with the power of his music alone, and it's THE BEST TRACK IN THE FRANCHISE.
Both of them are absolute geniuses and I love it when geniuses realise what movie they're making and go "fuck it" cause it always ends in the best shit imaginable.
@@kR-qj7rw very debatable but it's better than 20% though. That's for sure
@@leeregno 20%?!
No not ever there's like the avengers theme and spiderman one in the MCU that are good enough to be recognizable that's about it and they don't come near the mastery of Jablonsky's score .
Optimus prime progressively gets more and more darker and aggressive with each movie and I kinda dig it. I know some people don’t like it but I think Jen will enjoy it!
After fighting for over a million years you’ll Be tired of it and war takes a told on you
@@tmac731 yep and transformers prime show they showcase that well on how much it took a toll to Optimus.
much like raiden from MK
@@dungeonmaster16 I love murder prime. He gives no fucks and will kill you with no hesitation. Fatality style lol
People don't like it because he's dark since the first one, he's just got even darker since that
I feel like you guys will really enjoy the 3rd movie, it scraps most of the things that is bad with the film, Leo is gone, the twins are gone, the middle school jokes are toned down and we get more Optimus and Bumblebee, and it’s less convoluted. Plus the Final battle rocks! Hope you guys watch it, I would love to see your reactions!
And it’s a great story with a great villain. Also one of the best end battle scene
Best transformers movie imo
I honestly fell asleep watching it.
@@Eidlones It can drag on a bit at times, but it is overall the best one (in my opinion).
@@Eidlones At least watch the last 40 minutes
Dang Holden. Y’all made me go back and now I’m watching all of them. Don’t care what anyone says but these movies are so much fun to me. Reliving the childhood now.
definitely fun to watch movies but when Bumblebee came out that took the top spot for me
@@thunderlighting2006 hahaha that hilarious. Childish nwith characters actIQ came from Teletubbies
I was seven when this movie came out in '09 lol. I'm one of the kids that grew up with the Bayformers movies. This movie was a huge part of my childhood, and even as an adult now, I still love it. It might not be a sophisticated piece of cinema, but it's a fun ride for sure. I love this thing.
I was 7 back then as well and I feel the same way as you do
@vincent overy great input bro 😂
Me too man. ROTF was the first Transformers film I saw in cinemas, back when I was 7. Growing up I’ve come to realise that the movies aren’t perfect by any means, but they’re still great to watch and I love them as much as I did as when I was a kid just wanting to see some robots beat each other up.
same. I remember going to the movies to see it opening night every movie
I grew up with Transformers: Armada - it’s a million times better than this stuff. Although I did enjoy the first three Bay films
29:30 the faces Holden makes when we know something Jen doesn’t 😂
😂😂
The last knight... 💀
26:15 some interesting facts about Devastator,
- he was the most complex CGI character ever created at the time, (I think he might still hold that title)
- it took over 72 hours to render a single frame he appears in
- almost every computer they tried to render him on melted
The megazord formation was in Power Rangers too which came before this movie
@@saifmehdi178 Yeah but Devastator blew the megazord out of the water in terms of complexity and sheer size. They had to render each limb individually and layer them on top of each other just to keep him from completely frying their computers again.
@@wingedbluj1674 I mean Transformers has a lot of moving parts that would resemble the "vehicle" that they transformed from such as windows, bolts, and latches, etc... So the level of detail for Devastator - which is a combination of multiple vehicles does beat Megazord by a mile wide, CGI wise.
I remember reading when the first one came out that the rendering process for each of them took months to do because everything that moves when they transform is a realistic movement. If they were a real thing they would be transforming the way it shows up on screen. That always impressed me more than anything. That attention to detail
Bumblebee being the reboot is actually great for the franchise plus a follow up to it is releasing sometime the beginning of next year. And the way arcee was done in this movie was horrendous and I hope they do ember right because she is a confirmed character in the upcoming film
It might’ve been, but they went from garbage director to a new garbage director
Arcee was seen in the opening of Bumblebee, her design looks fantastic. Definitely going in the right direction with her.
@@liljuicyvert719 Knight's direction was far better and actually made you care about the characters.
@@betterlatethannever2156 But people do care about characters from the bayverse
@@HiGuyII That opening sequence of Bumblebee was literally what all G1 fans wanted right from the start with these movies.
For what i remember in the previous movie the transformers are actually damaged by some ammo. So it's easy to assume that now every branch of the military has a stockpile somewhere close
16:14 - Exactly my reaction when I saw my hero die the first time I watched this. It was so heartbreaking, I felt my heart pounding so hard I thought it was gonna burst from my chest...
I saw this in theatres
As did I...I was a child. I really dont remember much. Just jumping around and shooting things with my hands as i was leaving the theater hashha
“That sounds a lot like the villain from Inspector Gadget.”
Probably because it’s Frank Welker, who did that very voice, as well as being the original voice of both Megatron and Soundwave in Transformers G1, who would go on to reprise both roles in the various films and even some later series.
This film is very much a guilty pleasure for me. I will forever love the first 3 films and I will defend Transformers 1 & 3 till I die. However for this film… it’s definitely a film that nostalgia saves it for me. However I am extremely excited to see you guys check out Dark of the Moon because I definitely gotta say it’s my favourite film of all time. I somehow love every aspect of the film and my nostalgia for it is massive.
That’s one thing I always liked about Michael Bay movies tbh, that he actually makes a military look competent. Like they can actually make a bit of difference in these battles
Sometimes it feels like the military makes the Transformers characters themselves look kinda redundant.
This movie became my favorite out of the series! I loved it when it came out in 2009 and I was 10 years old. I had a blast watching it with my family in the theaters!
5:47 that Sideswipe scene is my favorite, love how he just drifted around the corner and caught up
I actually got to see them film this movie when I was in 7th grade! Our school went on a trip to Washington D.C. and they were filming the scene where they activate the old transformer at the air and space museum. My favorite moment in this one though is when Optimus is fighting in the forest and yells "i'll take you all on!"
I love the Transformers films. Revenge of the Fallen is my favorite film out of all six films. The CGI and explosions really do look like they are real. My favorite character Is Sideswipe.
I still stand by that you can’t get a full transformer experience without watching the 86 movie
true but since it takes place after parts of the show i feel like you won't be able to fully enjoy it without having seen the episodes that take place beforehand
@@dankerbell that is true, I doubt Jen would willingly watch G1 :(
Great reaction as always! Always get a good laugh whenever Holden talks about AT&T 😂
To clarify…. The Matrix of Leadership is the Key. The Key is a power source unlike any other. It is used to activate the Harvester (the machine in the pyramid). The machine harvests suns and the energy they give off. The machine then converts it into Energon, which is essentially the life blood, fuel, and energy resource that the Transformers use and live by. Hope this clarifies that part for yal
The third one is and always has been my favorite. I think Jen is going to love the third one compared to this one. I feel like the team behind the movie learned a lot from the first 2 and have fans more of what they want
Josh Duhamel is from Minot, North Dakota (for anyone that doesn't know), and we frequently see him walking around on Broadway, here in Fargo. Really nice guy.
The Loud Noises add in is just perfect. Well done.
The first movie pretty much explained how they can fight them. It's high heat
They use high heat on the bullets to beat them
I loved the second one as a kid and then rewatched it during lockdown...and it was a MESS. I'll give it this though. It was a LOT of really cool looking transformations, action scenes, and Transformers added into the mix.
Did you know megatron is played by Hugo weaving?
I never knew that until this movie came out he does such a great job!!
Holden Hardman, in this movie after the transportation Shia “burned” his hand and had it wrapped up. In real life he was in a drunken car crash and had lost one of his fingers from that hand and they reconstructed it with bone from his hip.
They had to pause the filming from the injury and when he came back they wrote the injury into the movie to explain why he had to have bandages on it. Because no other character suffers any injury from the transportation
Shia admitted to driving drunk, but he had a green light and it was someone that ran a red light that T-boned him and rolled his vehicle over
The reason Optimus has flames is because red is difficult to render and stuff in cgi so adding the blue flames spreads it out, but they keep the red so he has a red chest in robot mode
Don't remember verbatim what I said in the last video, so imma say, this was one of the worst theater experiences I ever had. Not just for watching a bad movie, but watching it too damn close, and hurting my neck, and getting a headache at 2am arriving home on June 29th, 2009. I remember it clearly because, three days before, Michael Jackson's died, to put it in perspective.
As a massive Transformers fan, this hurt, and they continued to hurt as time goes by, and somehow Bay managed to make worse ones.
Oh yeah, Frank Welker voiced Soundwave AND Dr. Claw, since he used the same voice here, instead of his filtered iconic voice. Besides that, he voiced G1 Megatron and Galvatron, which he won't do in the movies until 4 and 5.
You feel better now?
The movie was literally good
It’s so amazing seeing someone who has no bias or stake in the series whatsoever react to these notorious films. It brings out a genuine honesty that I really appreciate
Not sure why this movie gets the hate it does! It’s my favorite behind the first movie. Dark of the moon is also great! Everything after that is where it gets yucky.
I 100% agree with everything
because it's complete garbage, i mean considering it literally had no script it could've been worse but jesus
@@dankerbell I disagree that it’s complete garbage. I agree a little bit on the script but it’s not as bad as everyone saying it is. T4 and 5 are worse.
Because its an absolutely awful trash film.
@@ochayethenoo Nah it’s an ultimate movie, peak fiction
The twins received near fatal damage at some point which permanently damaged their brains and they pretty much had to start over from scratch. They used the internet as a source of information during recovery and that's how they ended up with their unique lingo.
Now I get an excuse to watch it twice😏
"Had to remove Soundwave's sex scene with the satellite." I had to pause the video. Was tearing up I was laughing so hard
Michael Bay has some damn word fetishes, lol.

@@ochayethenoo overrated movie
Fun fact from watching the corridor crew at 13:49 when “she” starts transforming before it cuts in the RUclips edit here, that whole CGI sequence took the special effects team 9 months to make.
i think the first one was helped by Spielberg being more involved, reigning in Bay's worst impulses. This one wasn't as good but i think audiences were a bit forgiving because it was known that the writers strike left them in a situation where they needed to get a script done in a hurry (apparently Bay locked the writers in a hotel over a 3 day weekend to bang out the pages). From the third one onwards, it just feels like Bay doesn't want to be making transformers and is doing whatever.
hope at some point you'll watch the 1986 animated Transformers.
Michael Bay actually locked his writers in a hotel (during the writer's strike) until he had a script he could use to start shooting. So, what writing we got was pure exposition and the rest of the movie is big big action. I still saw in in IMAX opening night. Still loads of fun for me even today.
6:10 the thing is, they added the flames for a reason. Back then cameras had a hard time processing the color red, so they’d have to diffuse it with another color. It’s also why in Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman films his webbing was silver instead of black. They tried the solid red and blue but the footage didn’t look as good. It also gave more flexibility on where Optimus is red in his robot mode.
That part from 27:04-27:10 that he laughed at always makes me laugh too lol I thought I was the only one 😂
18:42 that Steve Carell edit is gold
I think the battle in the forest is the best action scene in any transformers film period. Also for the confusion
-The Fallen built a machine on earth(in the pyramid) that destroys the sun to harvest energon
-The Matrix was the key to activate the machine, and could also be used to reactivate Optimus.
I also don't agree that Jetfire's explanation in the desert was boring or confusing. You see the original primes and how they came into conflict with the fallen over whether they would use the machine or not.
Fun fact: Skids and Mudflap (the twins) actually had a reason for their stupidity. A deceptiocon named Thindertrucker experimented on them and literally fried their brains.
Love your reactions!! Transformers is what made me get into the film industry as a colorist! Your takes on this franchise is very analytical and is weighed very fairly! Best wishes to y’all!!
Fun fact, 5:56 they aren’t in china, they filmed in Bethlehem PA where I’m from, and the place they filmed most if not all the beginning scenes is called the Steel Stacks, which is like 7 mins from my house
The other primes most likely didn't have a earth vechile form, you can see in the first movie when the auto boots on a hill looking at a truck, that's Optimus before
For like 15 seconds I questioned if Steve Correl was actually in that scene.

I honestly love this movie so much, have done since I was a kid and I’ll stand by it for the rest of my life, you can nock the story all you want you but also have to remember that this movie was made right in the middle of the writers strike so was mostly improvised and still turned out as good and enjoyable as it is.
Also, judging from Jen’s band t-shirts her music taste is great and there’s no way in hell she wouldn’t appreciate Linkin Park (THE best band of all time, come at me!) being in the first 3 movies.
Holy shit you made a good point on the writers strike. I still enjoy it here and there . Yes it has it’s flaw but you’ll still catch me enjoying it 10 years later
@@pgbrayan the writers strike is honestly almost not a reason the movie is that bad, watch a review by PointlessHub, he explains why this movie turned out like this, and its not the writer strike

(After "Bohemian Rhapsody", I learned a lot of bop songs were dropped by Queen, so lately I got respect for them too.)
@@Detrax655 Completely agree; especially considering how bad Age of Extinction is.
I mean all the transformers movies are pretty bad and forgettable. Its all the same Michael Bay movie he just remakes the same stories with some slight changes, debate me?
also they're not in Egypt when they find the tomb. they're in Jordan. Petra, Jordan.
The animated Transformer film is still BY FAR the best Transformer film and not just because Dare to Be Stupid by Weird Al is prominently featured in it. 😉
the thing with optimus prime having 'go faster flames' was that the actual truck is a real truck that someone loaned to the production company of these movies and it was his design that had them on, and because it wasn't their property they had to respect the original owners stuff so couldn't even edit them out in post.
Honestly this movie really suffered from that writers strike that happened during that time this move had a good concept but was terribly executed story was all over the place
The twins were mocking people form the hood, not just black people. There’s other kinds of people who act like them
The third one is definitely better, has a Optimus go through something “kinda” personal without spoiling too much. The key word in that sentence being kinda.
Really excited you guys are going through the entire Transformers saga!!! These were my favorite movies as a teen, even more so than Marvel I’d say. It’s really cool to see someone new react to this and point out the detrimental and questionable parts of each movie but I ver all be entertained by each one.
No matter how bad these movies may be, i will always keep loving them cause they were my childhood
haha the meat shop is my favorite part "oh yeah that little website with gameboy level security" "Robowarrior!..."
These movies are definitely my childhood. I grew up with these designs and I appreciate that a lot of people like these movies too. 4 and 5 are kinda questionable but the first 3 and bumblebee are great. This is my least favorite of the original 3 movies, mostly because optimus prime is barely in it for the last 3/4s of the movie but other than that it’s pretty good. The third movie is definitely my favorite so I hope y’all watch that one. And I love the excessive use of Linkin park, especially in this movie, New Divide plays a lot this movie
and i love Jetfire and how he died to help Prime also like how Sam technically became the first and only Human Prime and earn the matrix of leadership to revive Optimus Prime. oh and loved Sam meeting the Ancient Primes to

Hi Holden and Jen been watching you guys a long time but I don't think I've commented before. I loved your commentary/reviews on this one, I think you are both dead on with what you said and you articulated it much better then how most people just say it sucks and that's that. it *does* suck but at least you guys explained why. In response to Jen's concerns going forward, I know a lot of people hate the Mark Wahlberg ones but personally I think they are still much better than this one, so at least we got the worse movie out of the way nice and early. Also, Holden, you might already know this but the reason Soundwave sounds like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget is that they are the same voice actor, Frank Welker, and in the original cartoon Welker did the Dr.Claw voice for Soundwave and then a vocoder effect was used to make it sound robotic. For this movie they decided not to use the vocoder so now Soundwave just sounds the same as Dr. Claw.
the twins Mudflap and skids were funny.
All I really remember is enjoying the first movie a lot then being desperate for this one to end in the cinema and never enjoying another Bay Transformers.

Soundwave sounds like the villain from Inspector Gadget (Dr. Claw) because it is. Frank Welker voices both, and when originally voicing Soundwave for the 80s cartoon they just slapped an autotune vocoder on it. Here, he does the same voice, just no vocoder.
I keep hearing rumors of there being a Beast Wars film. That was more of my childhood Saturday morning cartoon than the original transformer shows. I collected the Beast Wars toys and bought the full seasons of the show. I am really looking forward to that if it does come out. The transformers movies themselves, I still found them enjoyable. I guess I'm just not a real movie critic. I'm more focused on seeing a childhood dream come to life in seeing live action robots disguised as cars since I'm also a cars fan thanks to the Fast and Furious movies. lol I don't know what all movies you will be watching, if you will be including the Bumblebee movie itself, but I look forward to which ever you react to.
@Chillaxin Snorlax You probably live under a rock cause the Beast Wars film was confirmed ages ago. It was supposed to come out this year but got delayed to next June. It's a sequel to Bumblebee and it'll have Autobots, Maximals, and Terrorcons. Sounds pretty dope

Congrats on finally getting internet Hardmans. This will be so relaxing after your nightmarish fiasco of not getting it. I thought the sarcasm in this was a bit much and almost over the top. That's my only negative comment about this one. The CGI and other special effects are still superb.
If only a Prime can kill another Prime, how did Megatron kill Optimus?
It's not some kind of law of fate. It's just that the Primes are on a different level from the other cybertronians. Megatron nearly killed Optimus in the first film because Optimus was weary from his long journey to Earth. In this film, he had two years to recover from that travel fatigue, which is why he was still winning even when he got jumped by three of the toughest decepticons while protecting Sam. If they hadn't jumped him AND used Sam as a sort of human shield to keep Optimus from focusing on the fight, they most likely would have lost to Optimus.
@@Slays_Media yeah I was pointing out how stupid that dialogue is, that giant fuck off cannon on the destroyer would have fucked up the fallen or Optimus just fine.
Optimus is weaker than megatron in 1 but then able to wreck multiple people in 2 because they wanted the fight scene. There was no planning for this series, it's why Megatron dies then comes back multiple times. They don't care about what happened before, only focusing on their current project, then retconning and ignoring previous shit going forward.
@@pezdispencer113 to be fair, that's jow the franchise canon is. Megatron is the cartoonishly evil bad guy who is supposed to be impossibly strong, yet always dies and has to be revived by Starscream. Remember, it's based on a kids' cartoon that was written to promote a line of toys.
@@Slays_Media but this is not trying to be a hyper accurate adaptation, they have license to make changes so it can make sense. They just chose not to.

Also bumble bee either recons the Michael bay movies a lot or, is set in a different timeline. I think a different time given a sequel of the bumblebee movies is coming next year
Back when Bumblebee wasn't yet released and still in production it was said to be a prequel, then it was changed to be a reboot since many story elements didn't add up to the previous movies. I honestly think it was a good choice, the new designs have the mechanical detail and transformation of the Bayformers, but they are mainly the G1 designs, which are generally more appreciated.

Plus all of the corny lines thrown in "Give me your face!" etc. And i mean, John Turturro standing beneath Devestator's uh...wrecking balls...is immature and hilarious. It's stupid, silly, but fun. I still can't stand the RC twin stuff or the little humping robot. Definitely stereotypical stuff that just keep going and going and going AND going with the annoying stuff. And this movie definitely feels like it needed more Bumblebee and even some more Optimus. They reference the importance of a Prime, but half the movie he was being air lifted and dropped onto the ground.
There are so many reasons to love this movie the fight scene between Optimus and the three Decepticons for the fact that they're bringing in different types of Transformers
The Twins are actually one of my favorite aspects to this movie. They’re a little stereotypical and semi-racist but this movie’s pretty old that this point not to mention you have to realize that the autobots learned how to talk like humans from the internet. They pick and choose what they want to sound like. The Twins clearly had some fun on the web lmao
This movie isn't that old. When it came out, everyone pointed out how they were a minstrel show. I guess you were like 5 when this came out, so you like it because of the link to your childhood. This movie isn't a biography, there's no excuse for them to be like that. They could have been something other than the worst stereotypes of black people. They're just Micheal Bay taking a break from being sexist to be racist.
Nah man the twins are just garbage
@@godmagnus I love how people who just want to see racism in everything assume someone’s intent with characters that are robots and not human. Maybe the “problem”, if there is one, is that’s the way YOU see the stereotypical black person. They are robots my dude, any type of connotation you make to anyone else is you doing that.
@@godmagnus damn you people with your white savior complex and false sense of moral superiority is crazy.
How are they racist stereotypical? They are from the lower economic class of cybertron, there’s many races like that for humans not just one
This is my wife’s favorite Transformers movie. She refers to it as the “Kitten calendar “ movie
Personally, I like Bumblebee the most out of all the live-action movies (even if it does include John Cena) as it has a simpler easy-to-follow story, a different tone, and a different director.
also i agree in the first one when the autobots come to earth but i also really love how bemblebee talks at the end.
I love how he said in the first Transformers reaction they did "everyone gets offended nowadays" when he was making those jokes, but in this video he’s literally getting offended and upset over fucking cgi robots💀
The bad guy from Inspector Gadget (Dr. Claw) was voiced by Frank Welker, who voiced Megatron in the original Transformers animated series. He was passed over by Hugo Weaving to voice Megatron for in the first three live action films, but then replaced him for the last two.
Paramount announced this movie's release for 2009 while the original film was still in theaters two years prior. The writers of the first film (Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman) declined to return and their replacements' scripts were rejected. Paramount then went back and convinced the original writers to return to do a brand new draft and then hired Ehren Kruger to help with revisions. To meet their opening date with the completion of their needed special effects shots, different action sequences had already started filming ahead of time with no script in place for them. To make matters worse, because of the impending 2008 WGA Writer's Strike of 2008, they were left with only a film treatment and an unfinished script when that went into effect. So a lot of the plot and dialogue that made it into the movie (as little as there was) had to be fleshed out on the spot at the time of shooting without the involvement of any writers per their contract and the WGA regulations.
Bay just puts eye candy/ glittery fun with no substance
I think the Transformer franchise is entertaining and fun to watch!
23:21 funny thing is, this film was made during the writers strike, which meant all union writers were not allowed to work, and before the strike, the writers had a structure planned for the film, but after the strike it was up to Michael Bay to make it into a script.
Apparently, Shia LaBeouf injured his hand during filming, and they wrote it into the movie in the laziest way possible by making him hurt his hand when they teleport to the desert. Mikaela just materializes bandages out of thin air, I guess
