@@KathrynCogillKate thank you, so lovely to hear. With regards to our drone, we’ve had ours for many years now which at the time of purchasing was one of the best (DJI Mavric Pro) but I’m sure there are more improved ones now available. I do wonder how the mini drones go handling windy conditions, especially with what we’ve been experiencing lately. If we were to upgrade, I’d definitely get a separate screen remote, rather than use our mobiles. @ Hey Mick, I have over 50 years experience being a mum and a love for trying new food ideas. I lost my mum relatively young, so I had to learn pretty quickly how to prepare meals with my Dad. I have worked around food over the years, so probably picked up several tips from that but basically for me trying new ideas keeps me inspired to cook.
Hi Lynda, the countryside was so beautifully green and lush, almost like it was enhanced in a photograph. I'm loving the little Kleva and keen to try other recipes in it, it's just so easy and surprising how much it actually can hold. If you've got one, please give the coconut rice a go, it was so good. Cheers Marg
Great video once again. Those little town campsites are so good in NSW and they let you have fires. Must admit travelling the PDR many places have restricted camp fires and we haven't been able to use our camp oven as much as we thought (still have a few lamb shanks in the freezer). Hope the rain stops for you soon. Cheers Sharyn
@@sharyns.shenanigans I think NSW, Vic & Tassie are so lucky to be able to have many camp fire days. When we went to SA in summer, we were a little lost without our evening camp fire and in WA you couldn’t have one until after Easter in April last year. When you return from Qld you should have plenty of opportunities to use your camp oven. We managed to escape the rain last weekend and thankfully temps & weather this week have been awesome. The coming week has a few hot days predicted … so it’s time to shave the legs. 🤪
We missed u guys by about 3 degrees of separation at the Linga Longa Pub we were there on Saturday for lunch, We were camped up at Glenbawn Dam and yes it got quite windy. Liippy and I love the videos keep up the good work
So close Matt - if you ever do see us, please come and say hello. Such a great area with lots of options for camping. I think I asked Liippy on Instagram if you guys had visited the Wash Pools where we camped once with friends which I think would be awesome in summer. We never seem to stay too long in the one place, I think the longest we've stayed somewhere was at Big Brother/North Haven at the beginning of the year.
@@gibbosroadtripadventures Yeah we went out to the wash pools on Saturday b4 the pub and the water was going crazy over the weir, absolutely love the look of it and the grass was sooo green was great to see. We’ll be planning something out there in the New Year after Tamworth music festival in Jan.
Oh that sounds like a fabulous idea - have you been to the music festival before. I'd say the wash pools would be much calmer without all the recent rain and you could just chill. It was pretty mild when we went and very funny watching our 50+ guys having a dip during July last year. Cheers Marg
Thanks Ethan, we'll bring our friends or family next time. We had a ball and you two are gorgeous, thank you for your hospitality and all the very best with the arrival of your bub. Cheers Marg
Hi Guys, Chaffey Dam is a lovely spot, stayed there many times over the years. I was struggling to see where you were camped in relation to the amenities block. Just back down the road about 3 or 4 ks is Woolomin and the general store. They sell just about everything. There is a free camp just down behind the general store too. Just South of Tamworth about 50K on the New England is Wallabadah. Check out the first Fleet Park when you can, it is an interesting place and well worth spending half a day there. Free camp there also. A good tip is never set the van up under or close to a tree. I have seen a large limb take out the cabin on a motor home while parked under a tree for the night, luckily no one was hurt but the motor home was a write off. Glen Riddle Reserve on the north end of Split Rock Dam is a good spot for a tranquil setting too. Plenty of bird life and Wallabies as well as cattle mooching around too. Bingara is a must stay too. There are a couple for you for next time out. Thanks for sharing.
@@brucecliffe6213 Thank YOU Bruce for sharing, what a wealth of camp information. Much appreciated and we’ll keep them in mind for another time, just wish we had endless time. We are conscious of trees and I think we were pretty right with the one we were near. We camped to the left as you entered the campground which wasn’t close to the amenities. We did check out the amenities while we were there and I must say that they were immaculate, I’ve never seen basins as shiny & clean as what was there. Thanks for watching our videos, cheers Marg 😊
