I emailed the company yesterday about the cut out for the antenna. They said that due to the high demand here in the US, they have revamped the design and have removed the cutout of the antenna. So the newer versions of the case will not have the cut out...
great review. I know which one I'm going to get now...the Ultra Hybrid. I like how it protects the phone on the back as well as on it's sides. Also, I like how it has a clear back, it allows the character of the original phone to shine through. The robust perimeter protection really offers a comforting level of security when it comes to falls and hits. The poly sides seem thick enough to offer a substantial level of stress absorption, protecting the phone and allowing it to carry it's value into the future. Thanks Droid Life for another helpful review!
I have the verus thor for my g3 and I swear they are almost identical in looks, design and quality to one of those spigen cases. While The verus being a couple of bucks cheaper . both on amazon
i looked on amazon at all of the case options including all of these spiegen cases. ultimately i went with another otterbox defender, i had my s4 in one when i skid for 50 feet after a motorcycle and the s4 came out unscathed. i wanted something with a built in screen protector, so my options were fairly limited, but as i looked at most of them, i noticed a harder drop would probably split the 2 pieces of the cases apart. and if it landed on the plastic rather than the rubber that could also be a problem. so i decided the extra $25 was worth it to protect my $600 phone n got the otterbox, because it has a hard shell interior, with a snap on screen protector and then a rubber sleeve that fits over the back and the edge of the screen protector. i've dropped my s4 from 12 feet on accident and it came out alive n the case didn't budge. i'm not sure if otterbox has patents that keep other companies from making something similar, but if they did and put it out for $30-$35 i bet they'd sell them by the boatload.
The back and corners should be well protected but i tend to drop my phones on the screen all the time so a reinforced heavy case would be good although its heavy
The hybrid is the best type of case for any android phone. I have dropped my phone from a standing position a lot. I never get any scratches and I don't use screen protectors. I hate those things. Also, my phone never breaks, because the case absorbs the very well.
***** Thanks for the reply. The reason why the phone won't break or scratch if it is dropped, is because the case wraps around to the front. Where the case goes over the bezel, it is risen somewhere in the millimeter range. It is not noticeable, and does not take away from the phones look. If you care about those things. Anyways, that little raise in the front, absorbs the shock and keeps the screen of your phone from ever touching the ground. Sorry for the long reply, I hope it wasn't confusing.
Yeah, I wanted the clear one so much, however that cut out pisses me off because there's no point of it, because we don't have the little antenna. That's on the Asian version.
I think the slim armor spigen case is shit. I dropped my phone and the phone literally popped out of the case and was damaged on the bottom corner. The phone just pops in the case and apparently pops right out when you drop it. POS.
after experiencing LG's G2, i would highly recommend their latest model G3. you will be so happy how speedy and smooth everything is especially with connecting to the internet. so much better than its rival's current offering. good luck.
I love the SPIGEN slim armor and tough armor cases. I use them for the Nexus 5 and iPhone 5S. Great video 👍

I see that this comment was posted a year ago....and spigen still hasn't made a version without the antennae cutout

The slim phone case looks nice and has good protection
Wish they would make the Neo Hybrid design for the G3. I've had that design for my past devices and always thought they looked the best.
Wow ive never heard anyone say spigen that way before
I know. It made me wonder if I was the one pronouncing it wrong. Lol
I think I have been saying it wrong this whole time lol
The wallet/case is a great idea.
Good information..thank you
Im trying the ultra hybrid.its only 15 bucks online and it looks good.wanted the circle case but not for 50 or 60 bucks.
I think the metallic black G3 best suits these case, specially the hybrid and slim armour.

im already picking a skin very exited

would be very useful to inform us about the weight of those cases. Weight is key in comparing mobile stuff.
Love Spigen!
The back and corners should be well protected but i tend to drop my phones on the screen all the time so a reinforced heavy case would be good although its heavy
I want the otterbox, but also want to use the wireless charging on the European version if I get this phone, so I'll probably get the slim armor
Whoop going to get my hybrid case 👌👌😃
Awesome review. Great job mate.
love them but they all come with the cutouts for the korean version's antenna... Droid Life
There should be the spigen neo hybrid version for the g3
Thanks guys for your videos, you are absolutely Great.

have u tried slim armor? ultra hybrid or slim armor is better?
Samantha Che Sieau Hua Thanks for the reply and suggestion . I looked up those cases, and I think I agree with your opinion.
Slim Armor case would be great, pity it doesnt seem to work with LG's QI charge (wcd-100 i think) :(
Does the Slim Armor come with a screen protector as well? I know he said most do.
All that good stuff...
Does the ultra hybrid etc work with wireless charging and room for the wifi sticker?
Is it scratch and fingerprint resistant on the back of the clear Spigen case?
Would these cases have an effect on the use of a screen protector?
how do u change the LeD brightness for charging and notifications its barely noticeable.
I've been hunting for a case for the past week, where can I order a Spigen. Lgg3 Vigor case?
The top cut outs are not microphone cutouts, if I'm right it's the ir blaster?
Also, the Korean models have an antenna.
Dark_Soul but thats not a korean model so its an ir blaster
And yeah, the IR blaster.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the way the slim armor case feels in-hand? It's really sharp and a little uncomfortable to hold in my opinion
For the phone
nice
You don't take apart the slim armor case to put it on... You just put it on as one piece like another case..
Slim's the best
I want LG G3 but hopefully with 1080p not 2k... .
Also known as the LG G2
vaporcobra lol
Lol i think thru call that the g2
are they gonna make any without the antenna hole?
The second case didn't have one
laser auto focus speaker
I just hate how they have the cutout already built in. The only thing stopping me from buying me the case is that damn cutout.
Yeah, I wanted the clear one so much, however that cut out pisses me off because there's no point of it, because we don't have the little antenna. That's on the Asian version.
i thought it was pronounced like.. pigeon.. spigen. lol
anywhoo, this really helped, thanks!! :D
I'm going with the Spigen Slim Armor! :)
hes definitely saying it wrong its not pronounced "spy-gen", they started it korea and its pronounced "spee-gen"(hard g)
What? Spy-ghen? Lol
SPYGEN
Why can't we watch TV on our phone if we live in Europe? I guess that will never happen otherwise we wouldn't have to pay for TV license..
I thought it's pronounced spih-jun like pigeon.
I think the slim armor spigen case is shit. I dropped my phone and the phone literally popped out of the case and was damaged on the bottom corner. The phone just pops in the case and apparently pops right out when you drop it. POS.
Its pronounced speegin
LOL
Still deciding which way to go, LG G3 or M8? perhaps I should wait to see Note 4
just get the G3 whats the point of having a phone if you just keep waiting for a better one?
Soo true my friend

I just bought the g3 today. I tried both and really liked the g4 better.
Got it Oneplus One in the end, very impressed over all, especially performance.
Thanks guys for your videos, you are absolutely Great.
