Surprise I’m on road again friends! I was so excited to tackle this playroom! It was a bit of a mess and looked cluttered, so it was time for a declutter and organize! You might not have a toy room in your home, but I hope it gives you motivation to tackle a cluttered space that you may have!Thanks for tuning in this week and supporting me friends!
When I saw everything lying around, I first thought "Where would you even start?" Getting things off of the floor so you know better what space you have to work with makes so much sense. Thank you for reminding us that decluttering does not necessarily mean getting rid of a bunch of stuff. It can simply mean rearranging, reorganizing, and consolidating things so that you have more open space and so that things look neat and tidy. Congratulations on another job well done! Hi Matt! I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned in your first sentence-where would you even start? I think we have all felt that way I myself have let things get out of hand in the past where things become overwhelming and you truly don’t know where to start. That is one thing that I am going to talk about in an upcoming video. The thing that was challenging about the space was trying to find way to help not only the adults, but the children keep it organized. I think utilizing the bins for smaller items will really help out, that is my hope anyway! Thank you so much for being here and commenting. I have had several people comment about your comments! Oh, good, I am glad that you are going to talk about being overwhelmed with knowing where and how to start a project. I know that will help a lot of people. I love how you gave a lot of thought to working out a Plan to have things set up in such a way, to foster using the Table and Chairs, and creating Zones for a lot of things that will help them - and the Adults- 🙂 keep things corralled and easier to find/ clean up / and it also helps them ,with learning the Skills of " remembering " , making the Connection to " where thibgs are " and such. 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🙂😊
Every time I watch what you do , whatever you happen to be working on........I smile and applaud Your Skills, Thought Process ,and your Mindfulness as well. ...Especially when you are at a Clients Home or.on a Road Trip for My Big Tidy Up. I'm sure the Little Ones and Parents will appreciate all you've done to get this Play Room organized, ( and, they had a good system to build on ! ) .. clean and ready to enjoy .

Oh my goodness thank you so much! I really do try to put some thought into it and try to see the project from the homeowners point of view. I always want it to be their makeover, not mine. as I have said many times before, when I am on the go, I need to get out of my own way and become the homeowner! I have spoke to one of the homeowners and they are quite pleased! I think it is something that they will be able to maintain, which is always a primary goal! Hi DeDe! What a great video! So timely too as kids are getting out for the summer and messes will be made. I just love zones. My brain loves that organization style. I know parents who say why clean up when they are going to tear it up again? Bins make it easy for kids to help. Zones do too. It think it’s helpful to see what’s broken, past it’s play time with your kids or just plain too much! I would have loved this playroom as a kid. I did have an Easy Bake Oven and it was so fun! Sorry you weren’t able to enjoy the raw cake batter! Lol. Have a great weekend!

I saw that Amazon had easy bake oven ultimate baking kit!… It is a bit pricey, so it may not happen! Lol! I agree with you. I think bins make it easy! Just chuck it in and go! Awesome finish!! I love how it turned out!! Now if it could magically stay that way. But, alas, with children it doesn't happen! A trick I have found that helps littles become a bit more responsible for picking up is to take photos of the things that belong in that area and taping them to it. So for example, take a picture of the cubby with the fire engines and when the kiddos are finished with them, they find the picture and put them back in there. Just a thought. Good job and I know the parents must be thrilled!!

Hey DeDe, hmmmm this wouldn’t happen to be your precious angels playroom at home???? lol. Just seeing all the cars and “boys” things. This room looks very similar to my boys playroom at their house. They have the same cubby system at home, but there’s always looks like the before pic you showed. Lol. You’ve got me thinking maybe since I’m home now for the summer I may run over there and try to organize it for them and maybe surprise them. I’ll keep you posted. Have a great weekend.
