I prefer owning physical items to show my collection. Anyone can "own" them on an emulation. I like the cases, art, disc's, physically opening my ps2 fat boy and listening to it cry. I beat them as a kid, but can't beat half of these games now a days. Blade 2 is royally kicking my butt. X files required my wife's help reading a walk through. I beat them both as a kid 😂.
@@coreysharp9794 Tbh. I own basically all the ones I play on emulation. I have a fine collection if I do say so myself! At least, when it comes to ps2/ps3. I no longer have a good CRT to properly view these games, nor do I have the patience to constantly troubleshoot my dying 24 year old ps2. (Av components cables are fickle) Even when it is dead, no, never selling it lol. It's just a lot easier to play them on the emulator. When it comes to the really Retro games. Well, they're an even bigger hassle, and with the inability to find almost any of them at a realistic price without being reproduction carts... ya may as well just emulate it. Still own the ones I love most dearly such as demons crest and mario world, but if I lost demons crest there's almost no way I'm finding one for less than 200 dollars that ain't a reproduction. It's just not worth the money either, despite being fun.
Dreamcast has been expensive for at least 10 years. Believe me, I wanted to try and get the full US retails set, but even that far back, some Black label titles were already going for hundreds of dollars - Don't even want to think what they cost now, but yeah, I waited a little too long for some of the grails.. For PS2, I already got most of the games I wanted to get... Sure, it would have been nice to get a few more grails, like Haunting Ground and maybe Rule of Rose for kicks, but not for what they go for these days.
