The Golden Eye and Stanley Mods were pretty cool to witness, specially the latter having so much content crammed into it even if its a parody mod of said game. Camp Cronus got SO WEIRD/10 (one of the answer choices during the questionnaire briefly showed "castrate myself" before it changed back to normal answer at 1:33:42), though that npc morphing into a monster was pretty good I have to admit. Gonna look into it more so I can see what's up.
Hello! Creator of the pack here! I would just like to start off by saying thank you very much for playing what I sent to you! It really means a lot to me and I've been a viewer since approximately 2015, to answer your question. Now on to explaining myself: As my first pack, I honestly regret having rushed myself to put it together. I was starting a new job a day or two after submitting it and was afraid that I would never get around to finishing it if I hadn't. However, I was under the impression this pack WAS going to be vetted based on the submission page. I was betting on Bikini Bottom Massacre and Camp Cronus having to be cut from the pack and was offering to send replacements if need be. I don't regret the inclusion of Camp Cronus. What I DO regret is not providing a proper description in the text file explaining how it was focused on stealth gameplay. The creator's numerous other mods are nothing like this one, so it seemed interesting enough to include. The "Duke Nukem 3D" portion of the segment which I had actually titled "Grabbag" (as in the theme from Duke 3D) was supposed to be focused on encouraging future Doom submissions to combine mods together rather than solely gameplay mods on MAP01 of Doom II over and over. Vinny clearly rushed through it and missed the point. Now as for Daytime Drama; I quite frankly have no idea what drove me to include it in the pack aside from it having a couple references to Vinesauce. If you were one of the few who enjoyed it, I recommend checking out "Project Absentia" on Steam by the same developer. That's all I'm going to say for now. Finally seeing this happen has made me the happiest I've been in a long while. I thank you once again for devoting your time to this, despite the mixed results.
Camp Cronus is amazing at building up an atmosphere of extreme discomfort. Veering into speech that could be justifiably construed as political without making a direct and immediate point is an excellent way to do that, as Vinny's reactions excellently showed. At the same time, I don't blame him for turning it off because his streams avoid the latter as strongly as possible, no matter what "side" people are on.
The rushing has been an unfortunate issue with 'Getting Doom With It'. I get that Vinny wants to just present the mods rather than getting stuck to it for too long and I'm sure a lot of his audience appreciates that, while I'm more the Jo's House kinda guy, but him not really bothering to use all weapons/godmode cheats enough, swapping maps, and having a monster-packed level set available to really test mods [especially weapon mods] is frustratingly lazy. For 1-2 "Getting Doom With It" it's fine, but at this point, you need to have commands ready and at least 1 level you can test mods on. Still love this series, but improvements can be made. Camp Cronos could be interesting. But I do think it's not really the place for the series; chat can implode, even if Vinny would be fine with taking on some mature content, that's not fun to deal with and he didn't sign up for it. I'd say the inclusion was a good idea, but it needs to be paired with a warning.

Shame about the mapset showed off in the "Duke Nukem 3D" segment, that was Doom 2 Re-Build-t which aimed to remake the entire Doom 2 campaign in the style of typical Build Engine games like Duke Nukem 3D, but it hasn't been updated since April 2020. I loved where the project was headed, but three years with no updates doesn't give me hope. lilith.pk3 is my favourite of this pack by far though, just for the sole fact that it pissed the lead developer of ZDoom/GZDoom off after it gained so much recognition within the Doom community. I think it's meant to be something of a big send off for the ZDoom engine as it was made with various bugs from the final version in mind. Not everything shown is bugs, I'd say it's only about 30% real bugs, but it's still a beautifully horrific experience that still haunts me to this day c:

fullsauce has ditched numbered titles for anything that's not a linear playthrough of a game, starting with the f-zero 99 uploads i think. i'm seriously not a fan, it's made finding what i have and haven't watched a nightmare and it's gonna get real bad a few months from now when we have multiple non-numbered corruption segments at the end of a playlist of 60+ numbered videos
lilith.pk3 is a cool concept for a wad/pk3 file but I don't know how it won first place in the 2017 cacowards. I guess it might be more impressive to the modder community than end users.
There's definitely a certain level of artistry involved in corrupting something so heavily while still retaining its full function. From a technical standpoint I suppose it's probably very impressive.
So many people getting offended and going insane over camp cronus makes me realise that whatever the mod author intended, if it got this much of a rise out of some of you then they did their job extremely well. Not a super bad concept for a horror mod or even full game too. Just kind of needs a more subtle build up I think.
One thing one could consider is a G502 ripoff that Razer made. It has some nice button placements, a more modern sensor, switches and less things that stick out. As someone with chronic hand pain, I have been using the razer ripoff variant for over a year quite happily. And wireless mice are too expensive for my blood.
Knowing how the BFG actually functions makes Vinny treating it like a glorified rocket launcher at 55:12 very funny to me. Not that I blame Vinny for not knowing, since he doesn't strike me as someone who is a pedant for DOOM.
What a shame about Camp Cronus, because it does seem pretty mechanically solid with an actual stealth system. It's just stupid enough that you'd hope it's some kind of poor attempt at parody, but sadly no, looking at the Doom World release thread the author really is just like that.
Slow your roll, I checked the thread and the dude was chill the whole time even when people came to give their opinion. Yes it’s a pretty intentionally hyperbolic wad, and yes you might disagree with its view, but there’s no need to discredit the dude for it.
@@ThisisSigma200 One dude in that thread certainly was. Calling the maker a chud because he criticized feminism. Believe whatever you want, if you act like that when an idea you hold is criticized you're a clown. 🤡
School one was interesting, in the sense that the creator is so obviously fucked in the head. It's interesting when people reveal so much about themselves through their work.
Camp Cronus had some not at all subtle political undertones which is usually just bad stream content unless you already foster a community based around politics, and Daytime Drama (I assume that's what you mean by anime) was simply completely incomprehensible I had no idea what was going on
It feels so quaint and silly using completely obvious teleports for doors after all the crazy stuff MyHouse pulled off (though in the Goldeneye wad's favor, MyHouse's stuff is GxDoom-exclusive while regular teleports work in vanilla so I can see why they went with the simpler approach)
Does anyone know the exact name of the Goldeneye wad? I tried looking it up and keep finding other wads and projects Despite the age and simplicity, it looks fun.
It suprised me a bit that Vinny isn't more familiar with Spongebob. I guess he missed it by a few years. I loved that show as a kid. The first three or so seasons were genuine relatable fun. Shame that it all fell apart later when different writers took over.
Vinny was almost 15 years old when the first season released, maybe he just wasn't interested in all of the new cartoons that released during the time.
Enabling the stupid ALERTA emote on the channel was a huge mistake, its the "look at me, i am uncomfy" of twitch emotes. The Camp Cronus wad would have totally been fine if chat didnt devolve into cringe emote spam 30 seconds into it
Wish vinny played more of the camp cronus mod, it actually looks really interesting. Though I understand it does seem to be a bit controversial in this day and age, gotta keep it neutral for all viewers. Already seen a few party poopers in the comments here.
Yeah like, people in chat were quick to dismiss it as fetish bait or problematic but honestly from the little we saw it was really well done horror for it. It was genuinely unsettling. The themes were overt but that's what made it creepier for me. There's a mystery to wanting to understand what the hell's going on and why it was made, etc. etc. You can absolutely consume media that you don't agree with.
@@HamazuraGOD basically at the start the woman is aggressively trying to break the boy's spirit, and chat's immediate reaction was "THIS IS WHAT INCELS THINK FEMINISM IS" when actually no, she's literally an insane cultist
Its clearly a mix of obvious satire on radical feminism and a set-up to establish the conflict/horror and tension of the WAD itself. It could be very good and effective at scaring the player, but chat seems to have completely missed either point of it
Cronus Camp was pretty cool tbh. I found it to be a pretty funny satire on toxic feminism. Don't know why vinny and chat were so hesitant about it. Same with Daytime Drama tbh. I would have played through the whole thing just bc it's weird and nostalgic. I'd be worried a WAD screener would really ruin the segment. I'd at least want them to ONLY filter out stuff that directly goes against Twitch TOS. Edgy or boring stuff is ok.

I think Vinny should get someone to vet game packs before he plays them, if he doesn’t already. To avoid potentially controversial games or games that are just borderline incomprehensible lol
From what I've heard, after the Tron Bonne shit happened, he beefed up his vetting team significantly
GETTIN DOOM WITH IT IS BACK BABY
crazy how the squitwart creepypasta was the best one lol
this is a 'getting doom with it' stream isn't it? why isn't the title 'getting doom with it (number)'? the names of full sauce uploads have been getting messy lately, it's making searching for things difficult...
It's an algorithm thing, I believe.
Having numbered parts tends to result in fewer views than videos with titles like these.
fullsauce has ditched numbered titles for anything that's not a linear playthrough of a game, starting with the f-zero 99 uploads i think. i'm seriously not a fan, it's made finding what i have and haven't watched a nightmare and it's gonna get real bad a few months from now when we have multiple non-numbered corruption segments at the end of a playlist of 60+ numbered videos
The title got updated recently.
1:53:32 The music here sounds like a track that was in one of the FAITH games.
lilith.pk3 is a cool concept for a wad/pk3 file but I don't know how it won first place in the 2017 cacowards. I guess it might be more impressive to the modder community than end users.
There's definitely a certain level of artistry involved in corrupting something so heavily while still retaining its full function. From a technical standpoint I suppose it's probably very impressive.
I wish Joel still did Doom stuff.
If Joel ever does a 3rd doom wad contest
after Its over they should compile all the wads in one and have hub to select them like the RAMP series
Someone please link the Stanley Parable song
That Goldeneye mod looks good.
Yeah. I've had my Logitech g502 for about 6 years. Still going strong.
So many people getting offended and going insane over camp cronus makes me realise that whatever the mod author intended, if it got this much of a rise out of some of you then they did their job extremely well. Not a super bad concept for a horror mod or even full game too. Just kind of needs a more subtle build up I think.
The Stanley Parable awesome music gave me wicked Dream Theater vibes
that goldeneye mod was interesting, but i remember playing another goldeneye mod years ago and it was really good
Definitely gonna have to pick up camp cronus holy shit.
Anyone know if Binyot has tried the Perfect Dark weapons, or the Pirate Doom! wads?
G502 Hero is the best mouse I've ever had. If it ever fails I'll be getting the same one again. Great mouse. I also prefer wired to wireless.
yep, that's what I have. wired, just enough buttons if you like getting stupid with that. pretty durable.
Can we get the long awaited Farty Guns replay?
Binhóta please it's 1am here in the civilized world
Camp Cronus feels like an elaborate indulgent fetish game
Just missing the tail buttplug
It seems made by an incel who sees women as authoritarian demons
oh my god the adventure line cover had Who Likes to Party from fuckin Kevin MacLeod in it. thats why it sounded so familiar
It's just stupid enough that you'd hope it's some kind of poor attempt at parody, but sadly no, looking at the Doom World release thread the author really is just like that.
once he used the word "woke" I knew what was going on lol
How dare someone not believe the things I believe.
That thread is so inoffensive, it's remarkable how little it takes to set people off.
@@The1337guy1 what are you talking about
people are offended? excluding yourself, I mean
The Spongebob music is pretty much all stock music, it's royalty free.
Camp was crazy
i actually really liked this pack. idk why the school and anime one got so much backlash from chat.
Twitch chat just proving how terrible they are at everything. What else is new?
School one was interesting, in the sense that the creator is so obviously fucked in the head. It's interesting when people reveal so much about themselves through their work.
Camp Cronus had some not at all subtle political undertones which is usually just bad stream content unless you already foster a community based around politics, and Daytime Drama (I assume that's what you mean by anime) was simply completely incomprehensible I had no idea what was going on
The chat has grown weak in the past few years. They can't handle anything anymore.
The only thing that is weak is my stomach when i goon my goomba@FelipeJaquez
Mr Sauce not being versed in the poriferan Robert lore was quite the bedazzlement to me.
The guy who made Camp Cronus has a knack for good monster design! Also probably some _interesting_ opinions about feminism. Win some, lose some.

Does anyone know the exact name of the Goldeneye wad? I tried looking it up and keep finding other wads and projects
Despite the age and simplicity, it looks fun.
It's simply called GoldenEye Doom2. It's the most current version on the ModDB page.
@@soapy.z64 Ah- thank you!
Vinny said that he stopped watching cartoons around 1999.
Why is Donny DuPree on the thumbnail?
Im pretty sure the whole Squidward Doom mod was either inspired by Uncle Al skits or the other way around
I've seen spongbob episodes with similar setups to that camp chronus wad ngl
Enabling the stupid ALERTA emote on the channel was a huge mistake, its the "look at me, i am uncomfy" of twitch emotes. The Camp Cronus wad would have totally been fine if chat didnt devolve into cringe emote spam 30 seconds into it
I hate the moment anything gets challenging or interesting vinny moves on to the next thing. damn he has become so lazy lately
That's kinda always been the case but yeah the last year or two it's been awful.
His Twitch chat doesn't help either they often persuade him to change games whenever shit gets too real, his choice though I guess
He had a lot to stream, this stream was 5 hours long, so I can understand why.
You're getting free entertainment regardless. Let him do what he wants.
@@Sdoots thats the problem im no longer being entertained. it's his job we should atleast hold him to some sort of standard
You seriously didn't even stay to hear Joel cameo as Bonzi!?
Fun fact: Most of Spongebob music is public domain stuff. You likely would've been fine.
That Camp Cronus shit was some serious rightoid shadowboxing.
While I might agree, calling people things like "rightoid" makes you look like a weirdo.

Wish vinny played more of the camp cronus mod, it actually looks really interesting. Though I understand it does seem to be a bit controversial in this day and age, gotta keep it neutral for all viewers. Already seen a few party poopers in the comments here.
It's funny how little sets them off
I don't even get why people are getting worked up over it. Seems pretty silly all things considered.
It could be very good and effective at scaring the player, but chat seems to have completely missed either point of it
if anyone has a link to that adventure line cover you'd be my personal hero
Cronus Camp was pretty cool tbh. I found it to be a pretty funny satire on toxic feminism. Don't know why vinny and chat were so hesitant about it. Same with Daytime Drama tbh. I would have played through the whole thing just bc it's weird and nostalgic. I'd be worried a WAD screener would really ruin the segment. I'd at least want them to ONLY filter out stuff that directly goes against Twitch TOS. Edgy or boring stuff is ok.
Chat was hesitant because the game's villains are all women, and it's not PC to imply that women can be bad.
I don't think the wad is made out of hateful beliefs as vinny implied, but it was getting into some hot button political subjects. So I completely understand him not wanting to play it, it's just not worth the trouble.
@@carrickbend6184 yeah ig but other youtubers have played it and just appreciated it for the work that went into it. i think it was nicely made. good atmosphere. a little cheesy at times but still pretty good. things can be appreciated even if you dont agree with their message, and i dont think you should avoid giving attention to something just because others dont want to appreciate it. its ok though. vinny has a shit load of other stuff he does so its not like this is a "wow, cant believe binny WOKE, litrly unwatchable" rant.
@@na-ky8ouor maybe because it’s a game that has such an non-nuanced presentation with a seemingly mean spirited and spiteful nature about it. And games like that typically do and say really edgey things that only get more insufferable the longer ya play

Idk why he's so freaked out about wanting a DOOM wad vetter when the weird stuff is always the most interesting stream content.
Tron bonne
I'm intrigued by Camp Cronus. You don't often get to see satire from that sort of political view, at least with any effort put into it.
You've never seen satire of feminism before?
I hate how he rushes through the map but then complains about all the enemies, like maybe take out enemies instead of running around?
That's how doom is, fast paced yet balanced.
Here before someone asks Vinny to play MyHouse even though he already did
I hope Vincert plays My House soon!
People in the comments just completely flabbergasted by the concept of Vinny not wanting to continue the manipulated fetish chud wad is fucking hilarious
It's either a fetish or a chud wad. I know it sounds more insulting to say it's both, but try at least a little bit to make sense.
I had a bad feeling immediatly after the AI/text-to-speech voice-over TBH.
I don't know how to tell you this but Vinny used to be an avid 4channer so you're unknowingly watching what is essentially "chud" content. Dunno how you'll take that information.
@@FelipeJaquez I normally dont reply to shit but i just wanted to say this is the funniest and stupidest fucking reply I could've received and "Avid 4channer" is going in my lexicon now. Thanks!

That Camp Cronus was pathetic. Oh boy, Jordan Petersen made a doom wad.
very funny how "don't joke about SA" is seen as evil cultist behavior by the author
The concept of don't joke about "certain topic" is the definition of cultish behaviour
@@Dinofly4not really
Jordan Peterson sure does like to live rent free inside your head
There's a hardly any topic that shouldn't be allowed to joke about in comedy. There's only a right place and the right time for them.
There are many prison rape jokes in media I could think off, unless you think they're fine as they happen to only involve males
Regardless of what people think about Impie, I'd say Cronus served its purpose for Spooptober by stirring either confusion or discomfort amongst the viewers in one way or another
