Yoshi goes to Tesco is one of the funniest shitpost games I've seen in a while. "Some made up language called German" had me in stitches because even though I'm pretty sure the dev is American, they seem to have an understanding of British humor because that is one of the most British jokes I've ever heard.

After all that build up on the last game, it's once again another instance of the overdone sudden cut into a shaky and blurry gory video, which used to be creepy like a decade ago, now it just feels cheap, lazy and uninspired. On the other hand, the not fungal funny game was actually really cool for how short it was, props for making something so eerie with so little.
It feels a lot more tense when you're actually playing it, vs watching someone else play it. Especially if you're trying to use actual hunting tactics like moving slowly, taking in your surroundings, not moving too much to avoid spooking the deer, listening to your surroundings (positional stereo audio is needed to some extent), etc. The spooky shit can catch you off-guard a lot harder that way.

The Snow of Basidia was neat, but the moment I saw it was by Modus Interactive, I knew 100% it was going to be a twist thing, same with the "snow" and mushroom spores using identical particles. Not a bad game, but they're getting pretty predictable with what they put out, even if this is from 2020. Every single thing they release seems to be "normal retro throwback game, actually nope, it's horror, surprise!", kind of kills the enjoyment for me knowing it'll be the same thing every time. Still, very well made and fun for something simple and short.
At the very least it seems like the sequel game they're making to this (Winds Of Basidia) seems to be less leaning on the meta/twist horror and more on a standard adventure/faction story with the protagonist trying to *stop* the horror from happening. Seems pretty interesting, looks like Majoras Mask by way of New Vegas style factions.
