You are correct it does need twin clocks, spoked wheels and high rise clip ons to make it look better, it also needs the same bhp as the 85tt (80bhp) and then it would be a real contender. Failing that Moto Guzzi should just make a mk1 LeMans replica / resto mod, what ever we call them. One day they will do it, hopefully while us 60 plus group still want one.

Sold my 7 month old V7 as I couldn’t stand the character “shall I start or not this time”, dealer was crap and hadn’t got a clue. Nice bike no doubt but I’d traded a 20 year old Triumph to avoid reliability issues. Yes warranted but who wants to spend spare weekends in a dealership.

My V7 Stone is my 20th motorcycle in over 50 years of riding and the most enjoyable. Superb in the twisties or the highway with a wonderfully comfortable seat ; with torque that is pure pleasure for effortless travel. The single plate clutch and air cooling are old school; but it's been carefully refined. I'm thrilled.

It’s nice that Guzzi tried to hide the cheap looking pinch-weld under the fuel tank but, compared to “classics” of the past, why have pinch-welded tanks in the first place? To save a few dollars, not all manufacturers succumb to that mode of manufacturing fuel tanks. That aside, good on MG for making interesting smaller bikes - less cost, more fun!

i own a v7 850 and i have done 60'000km on it since november 2021. I only know one guy who rode his as much as i did mine, which has been almost everywhere in Europe, including the north cape.
Do not get yourself fooled, this bike is heavily overpriced. It is mediocre at everything, except for pricing, which is too high, especially maintenance with its pricey 10'000km services and most parts, even if replaced under warranty, taking 2-6months to arrive anywhere in europe ( i ve been to mandello 4 times now in 2 years).
If You love the look and maintain it yourself, go for it, otherwise, this Italian has nothing on the japanese, not even performance.

That dash is just horrible. Why oh why wouldn’t they just put the Special dials on there?

Nice looking bike, except for the seat, but like all of the Guzzi range it's underpowered,

With low down useable torque . Try it and you might change your idea . I understand the high revving sports machines , I had a Gixxer 7 Srad , but I got fed up with having a beast I had to hold back for most of my ride due to paranoia of losing my licence . Let us be honest ... there are bikes that are good on a race track and others that are best for road use .

I would really want to see a v7 with a liquid cooled engine and Aprilia upside down fork, like the mandello, instead of these same old bikes with new looks.

Would rather have a real bike with character that does not need a crane to lift it. Aircooled, simple to maintain and shaft drive.

The awful electrics on guzzis scare me. Guaranteed problems they havent redesigned or sorted out. Keep it basic and fit good quality looms, switches and electrical components guzzi then we would buy them. I want a reliable and simple workhorse.

Not my type of bike, It looks too much like a copy of the old ones.
