I bought a Moto Guzzi V7 in 2018. It was my first "big bike" and I thought it would be a stepping stone to something bigger. However, over the past 4 years, I've learned a lot about riding and motorcycles in general. The most important thing I've learned, I'm not getting rid of my Guzzi. Ever.
Just bought my first guzzi also a V7, the rough. Not the fastest bike I've owned but that's not what they're about. It is most certainly the characterful bike I have owned and that combined with smiles per mile is all you need. Oh and cool beyond belief
I bought my 76 MG T3 when I was 28 That was fall of '92. Running into financial troubles after divorce I sold it to my brother. He in turn sold it to my dad. Dad passed away last July and I got it back after 30 years. New Dodge Viper copperhead paint New Dodge Viper snake skin green paint. Viper print seat cover, new rings, cables tires, basically broke it all the way down and now going back together. Never again letting this machine go.
My first Guzzi was a Norge. Now I ride a V85. The V100 already has a spot waiting for it in my garage. After 42 years of riding, no other brand has captured my heart the way Moto Guzzi has. Thanks to this video, now I know why.
I started my career as a mechanic on Moto Guzzis, working with Dave Richardson at Moto International in Seattle Washington, USA back in the mid 90's. I now own a 2008 1200 Sport 2v head. I love my Guzzi! I hope that Moto Guzzi is around for the another century as a progressive, yet historical motorcycle producer and business. Forza Moto Guzzi!! Forza Guzzista's!!! This is a fantastic video, thank you for making this available to all of us. Long live Guzzi!
Bought my Guzzi ( '14 California) from Moto International, Dave was still there and his mechanic Micha was a stand up guy as well. I was truly saddened when I heard they closed down, it was an end to an era... Oh well, at least the brand is still here. The bike I bought I ended up driving all the way back home to New England via the "southern route" in the spring of 2016, Dave kept in touch with me the whole way across! He really seemed to care that I made it home safe 🦅
As far as Italian bikes, I have owned a ducati 860, moto morini 500 camel, laverda 3cl 1000, cagiva 650, and currently have a 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT 1000 and a 2013 Moto Guzzi Stone 750. Have owned several German bikes to include BMW and Zundaps. Grew up with British bikes--meaning Triumph and BSA. Have never been interested in Harley. Owned several Suzuki's to include 2-stroke models and the Wankel rotary 750. The Moto Guzzis have been my favorite above all the rest. Quirky, reliable, tractor-like in that the Japanese "refinement" is not there--but if you love just being connected to machinery and sound--Moto Guzzi!--mike battle 1
I finally found a Guzzi to buy during the first year of Covid. It's a '98 California with low miles but not very well kept. When I first got it, it handled like a pig, wouldn't stop, the clutch slipped and it dripped oil on my left boot. Oh, and the previous owner had "repaired" the wiring. But that sound... Over the following year, going through each problem one at a time as well as eliminating all the extraneous chrome the bike is now transformed. The only things left to do are rear shocks and a final sorting of the forks. (The compression damping still isn't right) But again, even with these two issues what a transformation. The only further improvement I want to make is more power. It's a hoot to ride and people stop to look at it and often tell me their Guzzi stories.
Really love my California 1400 from 2017. Ride motorbikes since 1989. Owned Hondas, Kawas and air cooled 2 valve BMWs. Moto Guzzi is the finest. Technically. And from the bottom of my heart. Joined the 2019 Mandello "Open days" and it was even better than my IOM visits of 1995/96 and 2006. Guzzis are heartbreaking. And my is the most reliable bike I've ver owned.
I have grew up around moto guzzi. Moto morini, benili and ducati all my life. Moto guzzi has more then stood out among the group to me. This was an amazing tribute to the amazing people that still to this day build amazing motorcycles.
Thank you Moto Guzzi, my first bike 2006 Breva 1100 now 115,000mi sitting next to my bmw k1600b. I still take the Breva every once in a while because she is so beautiful.
Wonderful documentary. I was a Guzzi rider for more than 30 years (V7 Sport red frame, Le Mans I, Mille GT) and hope the company will be around for a long time.
I bought my 1971 V7 Special in the spring of '76. Lot's of memorable rides. Lot's more planned. Would love to get a picture in front of the red door. Guess that's called a bucket list thing. Congrats to Moto Guzzi for 100 years
As a kid growing up in the ‘70’s my best Friend had an uncle who rode a Black 750 Guzzi. This guy was a notorious drinker and he crashed that Bike hard and often but it was always repaired and kept on running. That Man and That Bike were subjected to more abuse than anything should be but they’re both still running! Viva Moto Guzzi!

My V7 anniversario is the best bike that I ever own. Good handling, reasonable speed, good economical, solid quality and superb reliable. Able to sit beautifully in my garage so much pleasure to touch it.
Mate had a mk111 his older brother bought new,had some really nice hand made mods/parts, I'd ridden it afew times, mate went away, could have left bike in shed but asked me to look after it for him as long as it was taken out for a ride, lived in my front room and did ###k look good against the wall especially after getting back from the enforced rides with all the smells of a cooling happy guzzi
Had Mk's 3/4/5 Le Mans, truly great machines. Remember coming around a bend on the mountain road near the factory too fast with my leg on the floor only to find two policemen taking lunch seated at the roadside, one of them stood up and saluted ! Only in Italy eh ?
Beautiful, miracle bikes. I own a 850 T3 and he is absolutely astonishing. He never failed during 15 years of using. Just a superbike, I love him madly. Howgh !!!
I've been riding for over 40 years & have had bikes from almost every manufacturer. The only ones I have really connected with were the Harley that currently sits in the shed & an R100 Beemer which I used to say was the best bike I'd ever owned. USED to say. But yesterday, I fulfilled a lifelong dream & took possession of a 2016 V7ii Special with only 7500km on the clock & frankly, I am in love. It is such a sweet motorcycle, everything I miss about my BMW but with something extra that I can't quite put my finger on. It's light, comfortable, handles beautifully & has all the grunt I need for virtually any situation. And the Agostini "mufflers" make it sound like a cross between an angry dog & a horny banshee... Guzzista for life! Viva Moto Guzzi!
In the 80s I got my first Moto Guzzi, the California II, which was in The Netherlands. I refer to my Guzzi as: "My Italian Girlfriend" because she was always good to me no matter where we went in Europe. From Paris to the winding roads in Switzerland to Germany and beyond. She never ever had any issues and the ride was always relaxed.
Great video, it Mets me want a Moto Guzzi. I would really love to see Moto Guzzi made that looked more like the older Moto Guzzi’s. Using the old tanks and logo.

I have always had a deep appreciation for the GUZZI brand, and a deep desire to own a GUZZI before I die ! I have a number of Honda CX500's, and a very special CX650, but I have not been able to find the right GUZZI as of yet, but I will ! I own a near perfect 1972 Honda CB350 that I am willing to part with, in order to put it toward my GUZZI purchase fund ! I am paralyzed from my neck down, so I am truly just a collector with a passion for motorcycle design ! Still searching for the right GUZZI to add to my collection ! Great video, of a rich history of an even greater machine ! 🇺🇸

I have a 2007 Moto Guzzi Griso 1100 and I remember the day I sold it after having it for a while, then I bought it back a couple of months later from the guy I sold it to! I cannot let go of this beast of a beautiful bike!
I bought the 2020 model V85tt with red, white & yellow paint scheme and I absolutely love this motorcycle! I adore that these motorcycles are hand made with great pride and build for the person that enjoys servicing their own motorcycle. Simplicity meets Art ! My other motorcycle is an ‘03 Harley Softail but the Moto Guzzi stole my heart at first sight ❤️
Wonderful documentary, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I spent a great afternoon wandering around the Moto Guzzi museum some years ago. The highlight most definitely was the v8, absolutely brilliant. The V85tt will be my next bike.
I bought my v7ii in 2016 with 20 US miles on it. I sold it last year with 30,000 US miles. It was an amazing bike and Ill always remember the moments we shared. Great documentary on a great brand.
Guy was right on, mention Italy and it's always the same ignorant responses "Pizza! Pasta!" when the list of cycles, autos, super yachts, fashions, and much more are endless. Not to mention the greatest history of any country including making Western civilization.
The story of Moto Guzzi reminds me so much of the story of Harley Davidson. A couple of hard working guys in a small city on a lake. Same story but on the other side of the world. 😊
Except these people really care about their customer and are not afraid to put an oil cooler on their bike. Harley, well they were going to do that except they thought it was more important to go woke. Harley, the woke joke!
I bought my first Moto Guzzi in 1977... a 1974 Police Eldorado. This was when the Tucson Police Department still rode this model. I was pulled over by every cop in Tucson for stealing a police motorcycle. They all knew me after the first week, and looked out for me. I still ride this Eldorado and a 1984 1000SP which has been cafe modified. Moto Guzzi has been a pride and passion of mine. Strong, reliable, beautiful, with an unmatched character, I would ride either of these bikes anywhere. Thank you Moto Guzzi for enriching my life.
For 100 years we fought the machines...for 100 YEARS..no wait, I'm not Morpheus! Ahem ok...this was an excellent documentary! Wow the V100 is a sharp looking bike!!! Out of my price range to be sure....gorgeous though!!!
Wonderful video showing the prestigious Moto Guzzi history. My first Moto Guzzi was a 1997 1100i Sport. What a wonderfully loud and beautiful yellow machine. I can still remember the first time I ran my hand over the sculpted one piece fairing. Bellissimo!!

Motorcycles have been a real family thing for the past generations. For some reason it stopped with my generation. I always liked motorized bicycles in any shape and form but never really had the motivation (discipline and money actually) to get my license. When I (finally) got my license I was so hung up on certain brands and looks that I completely ignored a lot of the iconic brands, many who co-shaped the history of motorcycling. I started reading much about older bikes, their history and how they influenced what we drive today. During that I really start to like and respect Guzzi more and more. I like the designs a lot, the engines are great, they sound awesome and for as far I can predict without ever haven driven one, the way they ride must be great. At the moment I really like the Griso a lot. Really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
I have 3 Moto Guzzi's. For all those who have more than three - Shaddup! My V7 I refer to as my "Urban Assault" because, of all the bikes I have owned (and I've owned plenty) the V7 I can throw around peak hour traffic with ease. Well balanced and responsive. My V9 is also a great bike but the petrol tank is way undersized for my trip - yet on both the V7 and V9 I have done over 270 thousand Kilometers. My 3rd Motor Guzzi is the California 1,400, which I bought when I traded my California 1,000. When riding this bike, it is like riding a two wheeled Rolls Royce. In a word - "Heaven". I have had many bikes, including a Harley Davidson, but in my late riding years (I will never stop riding) I have decided two things. 1. When it come to the drive type, 14 billion trucks and cars weren't wrong. Shaft transmission is the only way to go. 2. When it comes to pure riding pleasure, Moto Guzzi is the winner and my choice of riding pleasure. Molto Bene Moto Guzzi!

You will not regret getting a TT...loving mine big time!!!
My 1400 Cali is getting jelous...lol
I ride a 2010 V7 classic since 2014. The feeling of this motorcycle is unmatchable…
I love Moto Guzzi. The best all rounder was the Le Man's II. I did 69000 miles on one in 11 months and then crashed it. Build it again Moto Guzzi.....
Watching this made me emotional
Long live this fantastic brand!💪👍👋
I bought my v7ii in 2016 with 20 US miles on it. I sold it last year with 30,000 US miles. It was an amazing bike and Ill always remember the moments we shared. Great documentary on a great brand.
Guy was right on, mention Italy and it's always the same ignorant responses "Pizza! Pasta!" when the list of cycles, autos, super yachts, fashions, and much more are endless. Not to mention the greatest history of any country including making Western civilization.
Happy centenario and happy new year Moto Guzzi!!! 🍾
Lookin' forward to spend the next 100 years together
Con amore da francia
The story of Moto Guzzi reminds me so much of the story of Harley Davidson. A couple of hard working guys in a small city on a lake. Same story but on the other side of the world. 😊
Except these people really care about their customer and are not afraid to put an oil cooler on their bike. Harley, well they were going to do that except they thought it was more important to go woke. Harley, the woke joke!
Grande Moto Guzzi! Grazie!
Auch ich habe mir eine Jubiläumsjahr V7 Spezial geleistet. So Retro ,so genial, ein Traum.
The most iconic motorcycle brand!
Great Heritage.... Love you Moto Guzzi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I go to visit Lake Como I would love to visit the Moto Guzzi factory. Hopefully on board of a rented Moto Guzzi.
For 100 years we fought the machines...for 100 YEARS..no wait, I'm not Morpheus! Ahem ok...this was an excellent documentary! Wow the V100 is a sharp looking bike!!! Out of my price range to be sure....gorgeous though!!!
Retro Moto Guzzi Le Mans based on the Mk1 please? Pretty please? With Lafranconi Competizione on top?
Moto Guzzi. Thankyou for my Griso!♥️
Najpiękniejsze motocykle na planecie! Życze ekipie Moto Guzzi samych sukcesów na przyszłość i możliwości pozostania wiernymi tradycji. Film wspaniały - wreszcie można bardziej namacalnie wczuć się w klimat miejsca i dowiedzieć czegoś bardziej "ludzkiego" o tych maszynach. Pozdrawiam wszystkich pracujących nad finalnymi motocyklami. Kiedyś pewnie uzbieram na któregoś i przestanę wzdychać na przejeżdzające "Guzzies ;)
...The most beautiful motorcycles on the planet! I wish the Moto Guzzi team every success for the future and the opportunity to remain faithful to tradition. A wonderful film - finally you can feel the atmosphere of the place more tangibly and learn something more "human" about these machines. Best regards to everyone working on the final bikes. Someday I will probably collect for one and I will stop sighing at the passing "Guzzies;)
Pozostali pytają,,DLACZEGO KUPIŁEŚ TO PASKUDZTWO!!!!,,.😀Najważniejsze jest, by Tobie motocykl sprawiał radość. Najbardziej podoba mi się hamowanie silnikiem i kardanem w górach.Pozdrawiam👍😀
Grande! Perfetto! Grazie mille, Moto Guzzi! 👍❤️✌️👌🇮🇹🔥🌅🏍️☕
Peter! I will wait U next June in the Ghostown 😉🇮🇹🏍🦅👍
@@albertopadovani4237 Assolutamente certo, Alberto! 🇮🇹

Wonderful. Re-ignites the passion I already have for the Brand. Now get me that V100 to check out... Auguri Guzzisti
my guzzis,galletto-lodola sport,lodola gt gran turismo,😍
The only brand I’ve ever taken an interest in. Took my Cali ll down to Mandello 2019 never missed a beat in 3’000 miles of touring, not bad for forty year old go to bike.
Owned a California special it was beautiful loved it. Go Guzzi 🙏
Must be one of the most beautiful locations on planet earth.
When visiting the factory, you also need to go down the road to the forge where the first MG was put together. There is a small museum there.
I own a Nevada 750 club.I love it,although it's gone tits up.Its getting sorted .Cannot wait to be back on the road!Long live Guzzi. Its idiosyncrasies amaze me
Motorcycles have been a real family thing for the past generations.
❤❤❤❤❤ from New Zealand great video and good luck with new factory, museum. Thanks for building my awesome v7 ❤
