Part 1: • Slim of 112 on His 12-...
--------
In this clip, Slim starts out by reacting to the "Bad Boy curse" rumor by laughing and questioning how that could've ever been true for 112. He went on to state that he never wanted to leave Bad Boy and go to Def Jam, and Slim also addressed group members leaving to start their own solo careers. To hear more, including telling members they couldn't come and go from the group as they pleased, hit the above clip. Развлечения
Slim kept it cool and very diplomatic throughout this interview. He ain't speaking bad about nobody lol
You are so right. He didn't point the finger at anyone & was a man all the way.
I agree
Sounds like he didn’t have a lot positive to say about the other members, but he kept quiet so he didn’t start anything
Glad probably won’t have him back for this very reason smh
He just a positive guy over all
He got that Omarion demeanor lol
💀right
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is media training at its finest. Great job Slim!!!
That's a fact bruh pulled a Omarion here!
That era of entertainers was different
Well, bad boy had it rough, but some people can Atleast actually say that they made good before they left bad boy and was able to go on and someone else like 112, Faith, lil Kim, but then you got people, shit aint go AS great, maybe like Black Rob, G Dep going to Jail , Dream B5, Danity Kane and Day 26 and some others didn't go so far. In the music business or any job or any situation you're you, go through in life, you gotta know how to read the small print and make shit to sugar moves, because most entertainers on other labels got the same story
@@radio3976 yeah like De La Soul, those dudes got it the worst
My boy slim the finesser lol he like bro I ain’t finna say nothing bad at all he playing it smart he ain’t burning no bridges bihh
The cheques are still coming in 😎
Not even about burning bridges, maybe he's a man of character. He's choosing not speaking ill of another man behind his back.
@@kh7688 vlad wanted him to talk down about them for a clickbait title
I just added a bunch of 112 songs to my Playlist...
Amazing how these interviews spark up nostalgia and remind me of all the great 🎶 music I have forgotten about over the years...
Salute
And thats why people go to Vlad. Whether we like it or not, its a good platform for publicity
So true
😂😂😂 same
Bobby Jackson agreed
112 was a fcking monster back in the day!!!! Legendary Bangers!!!
Right?? Such a bunch of talented men! I always wondered what happened to them...
“You Already Know” is my favorite 112 song and that’s saying a lot from all the 🔥🔥🔥🔥 they had.
Slim seems like a cool & respectable dude‼️
Damn I just said the same thing!! Lol well I said chill instead of cool but you know what I mean.
He seems so humble and easy to work with. I have a new found, greater respect for him.💜
VLAD about to find Ma$e for a different answer😂
Right!!! that is funny
Ma$e is not going to hold back. Not after what he exposed earlier this year. I'm so ready.
@Dominic Clarke that he begged P. Diddy to give him his masters and publishing rights. P. Diddy bought it from somehowere for $20K and Mase offered Puff $2 million, but Puffy wants to hold onto it. Mase started with Bad Boy when he was 19 years old. He's now 42 and the rights won't automatically go back to him until he turns 50. Mase was basically saying that he carried the label after Biggie died and that Puff didn't care and betrayed him anyway and screwed him out of money. What triggered Mase to bring it up, earlier this year, was that P. Diddy made a speech about how he loves black people.
Breanna Burress exactly. Ma$e doesn’t have any reason to hold back anything lol
@@jamelherring5359 50 - 19= 31, so that means that Mase has went a whopping 31 years without any rights to his work, and now he has about 8 more years to go until it automatically goes to him. That would be a total of 39 years of him losing out on the money from his 3 albums and countless features on other songs, that he could've been in his bank by now. Almost 4 decades of money!
So, yes, the "Bad Boy" curse is REAL.
Slim one of them dudes that can’t help but talk with hands to get his point across 😂
like 09 Drizzy Drake
So what. Majority of society use their hands to articulate their thoughts. I'm absolutely sure you the same.
🤣
The curse means that the artist don’t see the fruit of their labor. Yes their album may sell well however the artist is usually still broke or in debt and fades off into obscurity.
The curse affected artists who did not have their paper work right.
Exactly! Years ago they said the albums went platinum but they didn’t see the money.
The curse was never about albums it was about health and wealth. They all fall off and disappear.
"I CAN'T PLAY WITH A GROWN MAN'S EGO" This defines everything...
Yeah that’s messed up tho, he’s definitely talking about Daron which makes me sad! They are all so talented it’s a shame they couldn’t work through their differences
He wanted to get gangster when talking about the curse but his granny was on his shoulder saying "hold it together boy or I'll crack that ass."
Facto
Lol
😂😂😂
💀
Slim is a class act. Comes from a great family I see.
Slim has this song with Tiny from Xscape called "Got to get over you"... It's so good 😊
Yess ❤
It would have been a platinum hit had it been promoted better
@@abattle2233 That's what I said when I first heard the song twice.
Downloaded to my phone.
He’s very diplomatic and has a really positive outlook on everything. It’s really nice to see.
😔Damn he talkin like he he IN COURT ON THE WITNESS !STAND
😂😂😂😂😂😂Right!!! I can't keep up.
Q : What does Puffy say, when he needs you to grab two things ?
A : Take that, Take that
lol
In other words they got they money .. lol
😂😂😂
French Montana was the first artist on bad boy records to keep his publishing. Puffy owned biggie’s- to everyone on bad till French publishing. Till this day instead of giving biggie’s kids or mom his publishing he keeps it and makes money off it. He’s an evil man, who paid 500k murder of Tupac shakur too
@@kasemalin3293 that doesn't make him evil. That's the business lol. Most Artist don't own all their masters. Plus you have a option to sign a contract
@@kasemalin3293 suge knight is 1000x worse than puffy.all of deathrow artists own shit.not even their house and cars lol tupac got few thousands in his bank account and some jewelries when he died.. thats all he had.
Kase Malin All true, nobody can argue that
"Girl when I ask you to trust me..."
Slim really wants 2 fight the other members but they know they going 2 lose
Seen 112 last night in Denver all back together and still great performers
Hes being nice..we all know Puff did them dirty as usual..
Puff do all his artist dirty. Faith said how puff take most of their publishing. 🙄
@@lorrainethomas788 but that's not unusual... These artist sign as a gamble for the label. Most singers aren't even the force behind their songs so yeah, not getting publishing or writing rights for a song the label bought for you from another person, and gave to u with no guarantee of a real return on the investment.... That's about right. Lol The Lox pub isn't worth a dime, and he gave it back to them.
@@ScarlettFevers You're right and I understand what you're saying. However, the Artist that do write and produce their material still get a shady deal. Like Slim is saying 112 contributed to their own music. Daron is a producer just like devante produced for jodeci. Overall, the business side of the music industry is designed to work in favor of the label. Granted, the label does invest into artists but it's alot of shadiness. You hear of it more times than not. The Lox pub isn't worth much now however they had some success. No artist stays on top forever they all reach a peak.
@C Hardin o no..trust me I understand on a lower scale..I own 3 buildings in queens and Brooklyn and dealing with 9 tenants is a hassel sometimes, especially when they dont understand laws, agreements and business...lol.. I also know artist and producers that dealt with Puff in the 90s and they all tell me how corrupt the contracts are...trust me ive been around bro..im that guy from Brooklyn that likes money but dont want the attn, limelight and problems..for example:I'll stick with my hellcat and skip the BMWs and Bentleys..lol.paeace
My boy fumbling them words like a hot potato.
There's no curse Puffy is just evil.
Nah that shit was cursed

I was at club112 in Atlanta coming out that back entrance when I saw the group singing for Puffy - T.K Kirkland
Extremely professional without bad mouthing anyone.. Great Voice Great Singer..
One of my favorite 112 songs (interludes): "Keep it Real" on their first album
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"The strongest R&B group of that era." I don't know bruh...I think Jagged Edge might have something to say about that.
Actually Boyz to Men might have a say in that
@@juombe I feel like Boyz to Men was the biggest in early 90s. 112 and Jagged was late 90s.
Jagged edge? Ha ha they were on unsung
Jagged edge is just a shade above trash. 112 beats them in every metric.
I love JE AND 112. Guess what?? They were BOTH good! Different styles but each group was amazing!
Only person making it in Bad Bay is Puff, something’s up around that
Vladtv can you interview King George master P best friend who help him build no limit. I think he lives in the bay area
Good 1
King George is from frisco he helped master p and lil rick from Richmond helped put him on!
How about Master P 's gardener?? Maybe he has inside info?

Any Lable that Focuses on the CEO as a Headliner, Up in the Videos (DANCING) will not Bode well for the Other Artists on that Label in the Long run!!!!
Naw puff had a good balance! MOST of the time we only heard or cared about that artist cause puff was stamping them...
Any Label that Focuses on the CEO as the lead GANGSTER, all up on magazines (FRONTIN) like you a real life MOB PIRU, will note bode well in the long run.
@21stcenturyenigma my Guy
Bad boy is CLASSED as a Vanity Lable.

😂
Lol.. smh
Ayyye Biggie did that 😂
"112 was the strongest r&b group of our era"...so we acting like Dru Hill didn't exist? Lol, ok, Slim..
You're crazy. 112 was better than Dru Hill. Yep I said it.
@@trawlins396 And you're even crazier. Sisqo and Jazz would sing this entire group to sleep, and that's without Woody and Nokio on the harmonies. Yep, I definitely said it.
It was alot of groups no cap they were all tied up lol
Man these cats got me through many a relationship ebb and flows..first album is a classic.
Yes indeed
Puff needs to thank God for Biggie for his success. Look how many other acts he fd over: Faith, 112, Mase, Loon, Lox, G-Dep, Da Band, the list goes on and on
Funny thing is, he didn’t fuck over ANY of those artist. In fact, mase stole 2 mill from puff lol
But they all had success lol. Puff was technically successful before Biggie. Craig Mack had a hit before Biggie
Yepac Shakur There’s a video of The LOX calling out Puff for doing them dirty lol
blackandproud83 for what? Having their pub? Just like any contract they would’ve signed back then lol
Yepac Shakur That’s why I always encourage going independent, especially with music. Janky ass contracts
Slim so chill. Seems very respectful.
🥰 Heyyy Slim!
Everything they put out was fire
112 probably one of the more consistent groups i didnt realize how long of a run they had thts rare...its jus shame nobody i know gave a fucc about these niggas they should be up there wit the goat groups...a 9 yr run for a group???? no breakups?? all hits?? unheard of
SLIM I LOVE YOU YA VOICE IS AMAZING 😍🥰🤩🤗🤭💪🏽🙏🏽🖤😘✊🏽👋
The strongest r&b group in that era is a bit of a overstatement Slim
They were middle to bottom to me...
Its the shade at Q for me love😂😂💀💀
You already know was one of the best songs period
He looks so good!!!!
THIS IS WHY I LOVE SLIM 😍
Slim was actually a great ass interview. Man I remember watching peaches and cream on 106 park way bacc in the gap.
Yes they was 1 of da best group'z out in da early 90'z & 2000'z
That’s right slim let me know it ain’t no curse when it was never a failure 💯
He tapped danced on that one
Only You was my JAM when it dropped. And then they dropped the slow version and I melted.
112 is the best group ❤ I love how he sings im a fan and one day I would like to go to a concert too bad I wasn’t grown when they were havin concerts back in the day😢
Come see me is one of the best 112 song imo.👍🔥
Slim and usher should do a album together. Grown folks album.
Slim always kept it 1Mil respect to my guy
Pleasure and Pain is still in heavy rotation in my whip. i remember taking my own money in high school to by that album.
I see 112 getting back together again for at least a show, song, album if not all of the above!
He's definitely holding back and wanting to say something without saying much. Give it up Slim! Lol
Hot and Wet is underrated af
If you heard slim lately bro hard as a young musician I would pray night in day for talent like bro 🙏🏾🏆🤙🏾💯

He still sounds the same voice is still perfect
My nigga trying to stay on them bad boy tours 😂😂😂😂
This is one cool brother.
What you get from this is we gotta give 112 they roses. Niggaz had hits lol 💯 “you can’t make it more sexier” lol
And Why Did They Say Years Back In 02 That They Wanted To Leave Bad Boy
There breakup kinda
da reminds me of the New Edition situation a little bit it still crazy how Johnny Gill and Ralph own the trademark more so in johnny case he was the last to join. I hope they can work it and become a group again
Lets correct this, Sisqo and Dru Hill is the strongest Group of your era Slim
Slim, is in denial. Lol!
Man I swear god I feel the way u do he really is
@C Hardin exactly. They probably signed a decent deal and got most of they money.
@C Hardin, you're just a groupie. Them niggas don't give a fuck about you. You can have your celebrity worship...while on your mother's couch. Check the track record little boy.
- Mad people trampled and killed at a Howard University show
- Biggie, dead
- Shyne, jail and deported
- Loon, jail
- G-Dep, drugs and jail
- Craig Mack, was the jump off for Bad Boy, got put on the back burner, joined a cult
- Faith, 2 albums and is now known for being a reality star
And the list goes on. Puff has a bad energy that follows him. 112 may be the only exception. Know what you're talking about before you speak. Go fuck yourself and have a nice day.
Go slim holdin it down. Man got vocals
He should've said "You already know" at the end.😔
One of the top Rn B groups in the world! After everything thats going on with our people they can't squash the foolishness and come together and make some great music Smh
112 should come back as a 1 group period..this will allow you guys to gain more respect and honor from Fans like me since day one album...so PLEASE understand this and convince other members to come back...i also bow to Jagged Edge group that stays like a group....I love good music and more.
