Well soooo.. I watched the episode .. Spoiler alert The doctor was flown in by the uncle. The uncle and his sister( the grandmother) wanted the teen daughter ( my Fiona) to forcibly undergo female circumcision, the mother did not object to this. The father was appalled. When he tried to talk the granduncle out of that, gruncle relented, pops lost his mind and head balled the uncle. It goes to court. Mccoy wants to call manslaughter 1 , his female colleague and senior opposes it. Finally after some persuasions and negotiations , the father agrees to please guilty provided the daughter is placed with his aged parents , with her mother having supervised visitations and maternal grandmother having no contact. A deal is made.
Pretty good example of when doing something bad (assuming he wanted to knock the gruncle out and not kill him) is justified to keep that person from doing something even worse.
Sucks this episode isnt on Peacock, this is definitely one of my favorite cases. There are so many good ones that Lenny and Ray they dont have on streaming yet
It’s a license issue. Even though NBC owns it they have to pay to have it on their site. NBC must figure it’s better to have all of SVU on their instead of the original. They could rotate. I am getting the DVDs myself.
They call it sercumsision, but its more like mutilation. It's so the wouman can't feal sexual pleasure and her vagina is narrowed. This results in the woumsn being in pain a lot of the time and having trouble giving birth. It's done so the wouman won't cheat on her husband, but the men don't have to do anything like that.
@@Chevalier_knight they made a deal, the paternal grandparents would take care of the girl, get custody nd the mum plus maternal grandma would have no say or visitations.. the father agreed.. he plead guilty.
