Here is what i think could be the four potential Comics, (Including) "Dust" 1: Dust, this would take place as it says after the Sacrifice the Arcadia Bay Ending. 2: Sacrifice Chloe, as you said, one of the comics could take place around what happened after the sacrifice chloe ending, so yeah. 3: Before Rachel Disappeared, this would take place before the events and during the events of when Rachel is in the Dark room. 4: The last idea is a a series about the Nathan and his family. This would be cool, a Mini series would be much better, but they could totally do it as a comic series. We would see Nathan and his relationship with his father, family, Victoria, Kate, possibly rachel, etc. Just the possible ideas for these comics. Not saying these are going to happen, but they probably will get turned into a comic book.
If you have time you should make a video on what you'd like to have as other comics, if i make sense here, that's if you have the time tho. Also, what do you think is happening with this Life is strange TV Series that was Announced years ago. I see no one talking about where it is or whatever, and for good reasons, because it'll probably SUCK. But i'm surprised no one is talking about where it is. Because it's probably in Development HELL.
I love the ideas, but they said it's a four part series. As this book version is over 100 pages, it's a safe bet that this is the collection that includes all four parts (which will be released as individual issues in comic shops before release as a collection). So I think Dust is all that's in the works for now.
DemonMaster The last we heard of the Life is Strange TV series is that the company that previously owned the rights sold it to HULU in December 2017. But I doubt that HULU will make a series out of it in the foreseeable future. But if they do, I think it'd be pretty cool. More Life is Strange is always good. However, the production values have to be high and very important, the casting must fit. If they can't find good and authentic actresses for Max and Chloe, they can drop it right away ;)

On the one hand, I remember words of one of game-makers about that each of the players should have own personal ending and they do not want to point on any of them as on 'canonical' one. This was kind of impossible choice and everyone had to go through it in its own unique way and keep own feelings and memories. In other words, I still worry about the intrusion into this process and making people to take sides or, even worse, doubt in their decisions, because again it was so hard to choose.. On the other hand, I understand it. People want more, even BtS wasn't enough, why don't satisfy the request? Anyway, it could be simple attempt to make some more money (do not want to blame anyone, it's quite normal, besides it might be really interesting to know, how the story evolving in further). Let's see what kind of story it is all about. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Ep3! I'm on that train to the end! :)

Everybody now thinks the ending it follows on from will be the Save BAE ending where the town is destroyed. But think about the subtitle for the comic: Dust. And also the final line of the original Amazon description, "all that remains will be dust". Well, what is commonly associated with dust that might have a connection to Life is Strange? The funeral at the end of the Save Bay ending. "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust". The fact it keeps stressing that it's only a possible/potential future hints that it will probably just be something like Max speculating about how things could've gone differently as Chloe is being buried.
I hope someday we'll see LiS endings continued in game form. They could release them separately not to upset both sides. I saved Chloe but would love to play both.
I just cant with more Max and Chloe, we already have so much of them when other characters are close to zero development, and when they finally have the chance to develop them, they choose MORE Max and Chloe. It would be so great so see more about Nathan, more about Rachel, more about Victoria, hell even Jefferson.

I want some explaining for the supernatural elements. (Max's time power and Rachel's wind powers and the speculated but not confirmed Nathan's premonition powers.
A lot of fans, like myself, have explored their own interpretations of what life would be like for Max (and Chloe, if she's alive) after the endings of the game. I feel like DontNod specifically did not intend for more canon to be added to their world. Before the Storm already stepped all over that, all over their original vision, and this comic, I suspect, could make that even worse. Then again, I really don't like how LiS ended, so a comic COULD join the fandom together in unity IF it's actually very good. Problem is, licensed comics like this tend to drag things out because they know their readers are emotionally invested and the longer they drag it out, the more money they make -- something Square has already illustrated is their priority over creator intent or vision. I'm a hardcore PriceFielder, I am still working on my own PriceField project (All Wounds), and yet I have no interest in this comic, especially after how Before the Storm ended. I'm just so very tired of "official canon" being added and added (especially when DontNod built that story to be one and done) all to sell product. Not to say Deck Nine didn't try to add meaningful stuff to this world, not to say this comic writer/artist won't try to, as well. But...it all just feels "off." I preferred when the fandom wasn't at war with itself. I preferred when these characters and their story existed to help people cope with grief, not to cash in on "tears" and "feels." A new season of LiS with new characters and a new story can't come soon enough.
Thanks for your comment :) I have a lot of the same worries about the comic book and about Square "milking" the Life is Strange franchise on multiple platforms. I believe there was an interview with Michel Koch ages ago where he mentioned that it was Dontnod's intention to leave the endings the way they did so that players could dream about what happened afterwards, and that adding anything more beyond that would be taking that away from the player. It seemed like something they felt strongly about. Square Enix on the other hand doesn't since now we have these comics that appear to have come about because "People want more Pricefield, lets sell some Pricefield". That all being said, I'm still going to be optimistic about it. Before the Storm, while having many faults I think was a great addition to the franchise, when in some aspects you could also view it as Square just wanting to make money because people want more Chloe/Arcadia Bay since Season 2 will focus on new characters. I think Deck Nine themselves put a lot of love and care into the game, so really I think it comes down to whoever is doing the comic specifically, in this case Emma and whether she loves the franchise as much as we do.
I do agree Deck Nine put a lot into BtS but the way Episode 3 played out...TBH no one I know personally was happy with it, it squandered all of the potential they had set up, and I can't shake the feeling that Square made them change plans or cut things they had originally intended. This comic will be different since at this point I don't think Square has any say in it, but the intent behind these projects, these spin-offs, and the way they're basically spitting in DontNod's face within such a short time since the original game concluded...it makes me uneasy. I just want to see DontNod move their own series forward now, and let the fandom continue to imagine their own different ideas of what did or would happen -- and since LiS is about parallel and alternate universes, they can even all co-exist pretty pleasantly together.
Definitely would like to see Dontnod move forward with the series as well :) and I felt the same way after playing Episode 3, my review will be focused on exactly why that was and why so many people felt disappointed as well.

"Bae b4 Bay" AKA Plot hole ending. The only way this comic series will work is if it retcons the ending in official canon. Which I hope it does, because Life is strange had a horrible false dichotomy ending.

I really hope that both Chloe and Arcadia will be saved. I want all characters to be back again: Kate, Nathan, Warren and everyone. Plus if that would actually be the case (hopefully) then there will be a continuation of the drama after Nathan gets busted (unless if time is changed even more) which will result in the powerful Prescott family to be very aggressive towards Max, Chloe and possible the other friends (being Warren, Kate, Alyssa, etc) Either way I'm so hyped for this comic collection and I would be thrilled to have a comic about something relating to this as said kindly by WilliamHella. What makes me sad is that if there is gonna be comic about Max and Chloe, there will not be another game with them. This market is not manga-anime-like, it sadly does not work like this. But we can still be glad for continuing their story no matter what platform it's on.
it could be cool for season two. to follow the Prescotts. they could follow Nathan on his path of being bullied by his father and maby him falling to Jefferson because he has nothing else. and the things he went through especially after the accident with Rachel. keep in mind there was six months after that happened before max even showed up. he seems like a character full of deep story potential and I think it would be a very interesting story to tell. as always the video was great this is my favorite game in all the world. and I love this channel! and you can tell people love it this video has 720 views and no dislikes.
I'd love to see Nathan explored more as well, what lead to him doing the things he did and ending up with Jefferson. I feel like we only got a small glimpse of his past in BTS and he's such a crucial character to the story in Season 1 so I think he deserves some more attention.
In the first game there are tons of unused audio for Nathan which make me believe they ware in a hurry and a tight budget to finish the game asap. I remember in the trailer for episode 4 he say "The storm is coming. You're all gonna die."
What I really hope happens with the alternate comic where its the "sacrifice Chloe" ending is similar to what happens between Chloe and William in BTS. The dream visions may have actually been my favorite part of BTS simply because of how well William's character is developed in those scenes. He's always trying to cheer Chloe up or warn her about something beyond the grave, but in the end of episode three Chloe doesn't even need to be knocked out and have a vision to start seeing William. I don't know if she actually just goes insane because of that, or if William is just a much more possessive spirit guide, but I would kill to see that between Chloe and Max. Just the emotions that play though Max realizing that she can still talk to Chloe and interact with her would be hitting deep.

Would you rather the story come from the emotional turmoil of sacrificing a whole town full of people while you continue to live alongside the one you love who is the only one who knows what you’ve both been through or deal with the heartbreaking knowledge that after everything you’ve done constantly to save your best friends/lovers life but it was all erased like it meant nothing and now your alone in your grief knowing that no one (maybe Warred but idk) would believe you let alone understand your inner struggles. I personally prefer the first scenario just because I feel like the story would be too annoyingly sad if Max had no one to rely on.
Just want to remind that Jefferson has burned all max photos and her diary. I am almost sure she doesn't have any photos she took during these 5 days in life is strange. Unless she had cloud storage or something. So she definitely can not use them to change past.

It would be interesting to have one comic based on the choice of saving the town, and one for saving Chloe. But there again, I would agree with your idea more, where Max tries to save both by going back in time. Either way, I will buy the comics anyway! :D
As a long-time passenger aboard the Pricefield ship, this news excites me greatly. But... this series will probably be bittersweet for me because--based on my personal interpretation of LiS's story and themes--Chloe _does_ die, and the comic can only exist for me in a future that never actually happens. Which is fine. I'm fine. Everything is fine.
Well it's only a "potential future" which might mean that the other comics could explore other potential futures, such as the other endings, but I get where you are coming from :)
Somewhat, Before the Storm was a kind of "spin-off" game made by a different developer that built up more of world that Season 1 established. This next game would I guess be the proper "second" Life is Strange game made by Dontnod. Whether it will actually be called Season 2 is still something that hasn't been confirmed but to keep things simple I refer to the new game as Season 2 :)

There's a lot of interpretations out there as to what really can be "canon" so I can't give you a real answer unfortunately. I think we won't really get a true, definitive answer unless Dontnod (or someone from Dontnod) comment on it and either confirm or deny the comic is where the story would go. Personally I think for the fans it will go like: Comic Book = Bad = NOT CANON Comic Book = Good = CANON
I’m overthinking but what about this: Season 2 will have new characters, what if the location still remains Arcadia Bay (so that will mean we have sacrificed Chloe in 1st game) and they’re doing a comic series with 99.99% possibility of an ending where they focus on the Sacrifice Bay ending? To not disappoint anyone?
I have a small prediction for how I think Life is Strange: Dust will start. Max and Chloe are driving out of Arcadia Bay after the Storm has hit. But before they fully hit the road, Chloe will ask Max if they can make a quick stop somewhere. That somewhere is the Junk Yard where Rachel's body is buried. Chloe wants to take a minute to say goodbye.
Sure! Unfortunately we don't have an exact date as to when the comic would be officially published. But if I had to guess I would say sometime mid this year :)
I'm also skeptical about another company contributing to the Life is Strange world in some way. There's definitely a "People want more Max and Chloe so let's sell them more Max and Chloe" feel to it rather than "Let's tell a deep, personal story that's worthy of continuing Max and Chloe's journey". However until we actually have the comic on our hands, we won't know for sure what they'll be.
My thoughts on the life is strange season 2 They shouldn't continue this game no longer. It's better to end a good game before the publisher murders it. Maybe we should take a brake from this emotional rollercoaster ride before anyone starts vomiting. Life is strange is a beautiful game and it deserves to be ended before anyone murders it.

Before the Storm already stepped all over that, all over their original vision, and this comic, I suspect, could make that even worse.
Then again, I really don't like how LiS ended, so a comic COULD join the fandom together in unity IF it's actually very good.
Problem is, licensed comics like this tend to drag things out because they know their readers are emotionally invested and the longer they drag it out, the more money they make -- something Square has already illustrated is their priority over creator intent or vision.
I'm a hardcore PriceFielder, I am still working on my own PriceField project (All Wounds), and yet I have no interest in this comic, especially after how Before the Storm ended. I'm just so very tired of "official canon" being added and added (especially when DontNod built that story to be one and done) all to sell product. Not to say Deck Nine didn't try to add meaningful stuff to this world, not to say this comic writer/artist won't try to, as well. But...it all just feels "off."
I preferred when the fandom wasn't at war with itself.
I preferred when these characters and their story existed to help people cope with grief, not to cash in on "tears" and "feels."
A new season of LiS with new characters and a new story can't come soon enough.
Thanks for your comment :) I have a lot of the same worries about the comic book and about Square "milking" the Life is Strange franchise on multiple platforms. I believe there was an interview with Michel Koch ages ago where he mentioned that it was Dontnod's intention to leave the endings the way they did so that players could dream about what happened afterwards, and that adding anything more beyond that would be taking that away from the player. It seemed like something they felt strongly about. Square Enix on the other hand doesn't since now we have these comics that appear to have come about because "People want more Pricefield, lets sell some Pricefield".
That all being said, I'm still going to be optimistic about it. Before the Storm, while having many faults I think was a great addition to the franchise, when in some aspects you could also view it as Square just wanting to make money because people want more Chloe/Arcadia Bay since Season 2 will focus on new characters. I think Deck Nine themselves put a lot of love and care into the game, so really I think it comes down to whoever is doing the comic specifically, in this case Emma and whether she loves the franchise as much as we do.
I do agree Deck Nine put a lot into BtS but the way Episode 3 played out...TBH no one I know personally was happy with it, it squandered all of the potential they had set up, and I can't shake the feeling that Square made them change plans or cut things they had originally intended. This comic will be different since at this point I don't think Square has any say in it, but the intent behind these projects, these spin-offs, and the way they're basically spitting in DontNod's face within such a short time since the original game concluded...it makes me uneasy. I just want to see DontNod move their own series forward now, and let the fandom continue to imagine their own different ideas of what did or would happen -- and since LiS is about parallel and alternate universes, they can even all co-exist pretty pleasantly together.
Definitely would like to see Dontnod move forward with the series as well :) and I felt the same way after playing Episode 3, my review will be focused on exactly why that was and why so many people felt disappointed as well.

I'm very hopeful that Square's grip on this story will loosen once DontNod takes the series' reigns back -- and that Deck Nine get freed up to work on something new.

"Bae b4 Bay" AKA Plot hole ending. The only way this comic series will work is if it retcons the ending in official canon. Which I hope it does, because Life is strange had a horrible false dichotomy ending.

I really hope that both Chloe and Arcadia will be saved. I want all characters to be back again: Kate, Nathan, Warren and everyone. Plus if that would actually be the case (hopefully) then there will be a continuation of the drama after Nathan gets busted (unless if time is changed even more) which will result in the powerful Prescott family to be very aggressive towards Max, Chloe and possible the other friends (being Warren, Kate, Alyssa, etc) Either way I'm so hyped for this comic collection and I would be thrilled to have a comic about something relating to this as said kindly by WilliamHella. In the meantime thank you for posting this video. Much appreciated.
What makes me sad is that if there is gonna be comic about Max and Chloe, there will not be another game with them. This market is not manga-anime-like, it sadly does not work like this. But we can still be glad for continuing their story no matter what platform it's on.

Maybe Max loses her power in some way
it could be cool for season two. to follow the Prescotts. they could follow Nathan on his path of being bullied by his father and maby him falling to Jefferson because he has nothing else. and the things he went through especially after the accident with Rachel. keep in mind there was six months after that happened before max even showed up. he seems like a character full of deep story potential and I think it would be a very interesting story to tell. as always the video was great this is my favorite game in all the world. and I love this channel! and you can tell people love it this video has 720 views and no dislikes.
I'd love to see Nathan explored more as well, what lead to him doing the things he did and ending up with Jefferson. I feel like we only got a small glimpse of his past in BTS and he's such a crucial character to the story in Season 1 so I think he deserves some more attention.
In the first game there are tons of unused audio for Nathan which make me believe they ware in a hurry and a tight budget to finish the game asap. I remember in the trailer for episode 4 he say "The storm is coming. You're all gonna die."
What I really hope happens with the alternate comic where its the "sacrifice Chloe" ending is similar to what happens between Chloe and William in BTS. The dream visions may have actually been my favorite part of BTS simply because of how well William's character is developed in those scenes. He's always trying to cheer Chloe up or warn her about something beyond the grave, but in the end of episode three Chloe doesn't even need to be knocked out and have a vision to start seeing William. I don't know if she actually just goes insane because of that, or if William is just a much more possessive spirit guide, but I would kill to see that between Chloe and Max. Just the emotions that play though Max realizing that she can still talk to Chloe and interact with her would be hitting deep.
That would hurt pretty good! And I did warm up to the dream sequences in BTS, especially that last one in Episode 3, was really cool and insightful.

I hope it’s the sacrifice Chloe ending and she goes and saves Chloe some other way. I always hoped Max would time travel to the events of Before the Storm and Dave both Rachel and Chloe during the game, but that was a long shot.

Would you rather the story come from the emotional turmoil of sacrificing a whole town full of people while you continue to live alongside the one you love who is the only one who knows what you’ve both been through or deal with the heartbreaking knowledge that after everything you’ve done constantly to save your best friends/lovers life but it was all erased like it meant nothing and now your alone in your grief knowing that no one (maybe Warred but idk) would believe you let alone understand your inner struggles. I personally prefer the first scenario just because I feel like the story would be too annoyingly sad if Max had no one to rely on.

Just want to remind that Jefferson has burned all max photos and her diary. I am almost sure she doesn't have any photos she took during these 5 days in life is strange. Unless she had cloud storage or something. So she definitely can not use them to change past.

As a long-time passenger aboard the Pricefield ship, this news excites me greatly.
But... this series will probably be bittersweet for me because--based on my personal interpretation of LiS's story and themes--Chloe _does_ die, and the comic can only exist for me in a future that never actually happens.

Somewhat, Before the Storm was a kind of "spin-off" game made by a different developer that built up more of world that Season 1 established. This next game would I guess be the proper "second" Life is Strange game made by Dontnod. Whether it will actually be called Season 2 is still something that hasn't been confirmed but to keep things simple I refer to the new game as Season 2 :)

There's a lot of interpretations out there as to what really can be "canon" so I can't give you a real answer unfortunately. I think we won't really get a true, definitive answer unless Dontnod (or someone from Dontnod) comment on it and either confirm or deny the comic is where the story would go. Personally I think for the fans it will go like:
Comic Book = Bad = NOT CANON
Comic Book = Good = CANON

I’m overthinking but what about this: Season 2 will have new characters, what if the location still remains Arcadia Bay (so that will mean we have sacrificed Chloe in 1st game) and they’re doing a comic series with 99.99% possibility of an ending where they focus on the Sacrifice Bay ending? To not disappoint anyone?
Maybe but I think it's unlikely :) The comic might explore both endings with later issues but we won't really know until we learn more!

I have a small prediction for how I think Life is Strange: Dust will start.
Max and Chloe are driving out of Arcadia Bay after the Storm has hit. But before they fully hit the road, Chloe will ask Max if they can make a quick stop somewhere. That somewhere is the Junk Yard where Rachel's body is buried. Chloe wants to take a minute to say goodbye.
That.... is super sad and would fit perfectly!

I'm skepticle about the comics. There is always potential they fuck things up ESPECIALLY since LiS franchise sets the bar so high.
I'm also skeptical about another company contributing to the Life is Strange world in some way. There's definitely a "People want more Max and Chloe so let's sell them more Max and Chloe" feel to it rather than "Let's tell a deep, personal story that's worthy of continuing Max and Chloe's journey". However until we actually have the comic on our hands, we won't know for sure what they'll be.

My thoughts on the life is strange season 2
They shouldn't continue this game no longer. It's better to end a good game before the publisher murders it. Maybe we should take a brake from this emotional rollercoaster ride before anyone starts vomiting. Life is strange is a beautiful game and it deserves to be ended before anyone murders it.
