I can't imagine what the Huntingtons were thinking here. They all but idolize the Ramones, and have several songs that mention the Ramones. They must have been in complete awe playing with the legendary Joey Ramone.

Its actually pretty cool to hear this side of an older Joey singing all these songs not at a breakneck speed that the Ramones usually started playing at during this time.

@@DanPaquin1 That would likely make it one of or perhaps THE last live show Joey did? He is supposed to have fallen on New Years Eve of 2000 and broken his hip, and the lymphoma took him on April 15, 2001. Great show. How I wish I could have seen it live - so glad for this video.
Before launching into Surfin' Bird, Joey mentions having not sung it in 20 years (exaggeration - saw the Ramones a dozen times from 84 to 94) and it being a Christmas gift to the crowd, so maybe the December date (whether it was 99 or 2000) is correct. According to this (www.setlist.fm/news/04-20/rip-joey-ramone-see-his-last-ever-17-song-solo-setlist-33d6acb1), Joey's last show was December 11, 2000, at the Continental in NYC. Same site has the second setlist dated October 18, 2000 at CBGB. Maybe that's this show.

@@TelmaHyman Cool, I only got to see the Ramones play twice. I really love their music. I did get to sing in a Ramones cover band for a Halloween show in my home town. We called ourselves the Whoremoans. Three of my musican friends and I did a set of a little over an hour. This was back in 1992. We were all dressed up like the Ramones and were in character for the entire show. I even did a pretty good Joey impression when I hyped up the crowd between songs. I had a NY Yankees t-shirt and a leather jacket with worn out jeans and Chuck Taylors . I had long hair with a natural wave to it and my hair is quite dark . Funky sunglasses as well. The funniest part? I'm only 5'6". So, I was a "mini Joey Ramone."
